My scheduled dropoff point, the Kwik Out in Williamsburg, Va, was a complete disappointment. I chose it for proximity to my move,location. When I arrived to drop off the trailer, I was told that they did not have room for,it and woyld not accept it (despite my listing it as the dropoff location). The staff were rude and unhelpful.
It took over an hour to complete the pick up. When we received the truck, the check engine light was on. My delivery driver is a retired auto mechanic, he checked the oil before the long trip. The truck was 2 quarts low on oil, when he called uhaul to see what kind of oil to put in the truck, he was on the phone for over 30 minutes. When I returned the truck, it took over 45 minutes for the process. That included the employee taking 2 trips to truck to check things. He asked how long the check engine light was on, when I told him since we got the truck he looked confused. Then he asked how many days I had the truck, to which I responded, I don't know, you have the computer screen in front of you. Unless major changes are made, this is the last time my company will rent any type of uhaul. I will not recommend your company to any one either.
In the time of COVID, you would think you would actually have a clean vehicle to rent. The truck I rented was not cleaned, had a dirty/used cloth face covering on the center console, etc.. Disappointed that in the sake of convenience of online check in there seemed to be little care for best practices and customer safety. The people at the location were awesome and very helpful, but I don't know they were provided or were following any specific guidelines for cleaning/safety.

The young woman with whom I dealt have a better attitude I had trouble going to the app and ended up picking 24 seven which I did not understand as he told me I did not need to come in to her store How is young man followed her and helped me The day prior I would have a truck from 8 AM and it was not going to be available till 10 and I showed up at 10 and one of the truck till six instead of four I could not get it I called your office several times on the one 800 U-Haul number on the day before Your automated system told me that you were too busy to deal with me and cut me off several times Most annoying Very unhappy Young man who finally dealt with me was fine and I don't wanna have any bad feelings about him but the whole experience was horrible

The process of a mobile pickup was NOT smooth and quick. I work in healthcare and try to limit in store exposure as much as possible because of the covid situation so I opted for mobile pickup. The â€œapprovalâ€ process took just over 10 minutes and then there were so many pictures and steps to do to pickup and return the uhaul. U-haul is also very annoying about trying to get you to spend extra money. I won't be using U-haul next time; I will be opting to use a similar company.
Very disappointed that they refused to rent one way. I have not run into that before and I do not understand why. It ended up doubling my cost , not to mention the extra 2 and a half hours for me and another to take truck back. If I had known I would have rented elsewhere...
Cab was a bit stinky, scratched up and hair on the floor. It wasn't filthy, but not real clean either. Truck ran fine and AC was cold!
Check out your trucks a little better like working GAS gauges . So you dont get a truck with a full tank, and go 4 -- 5 miles and fing you only got 3/4 of a tank ( not full )
There were system issues with UHaul that had me spending a very long time there despite express check in. That said, the staff is knowledgeable and helpful and that overcame the tech issues. Will definitely rent there again.
Truck AC did not work. I would like a partial refund.
I was called 15 mins past the pick up time by the U-Haul company person who asked if I was coming to pick up the truck. She was a bit snarky with me when I told her yes we are 15 mins late. I hardly think a call should be made for being tardy 15 mins.

My experience was great and everything went smoothly with the exception that I never received my contract until after I returned my vehicle. I was confused when instruction kept telling me to refer to the contract because I never saw it. The gas tank was full when I got the vehicle so I did not effect me for knowing how much gas to return the vehicle with.
Very easy to pick up and drop off.
