Return agent misread quality of fuel in tank at pickup, forcing me to drive out to a gas station to add $5 unnecessary gas. Return agent also penalized for overage miles, again inappropriately. Location required trucks to be picked up and returned in rear parking lot, but forced customers to walk all the way around the shopping center. Why not provide direct access through the store? This required a miserable walk in the rain. Stupid.

I understand the 15' truck is technically 15' with the attic space, but this would be good for people to know as this space is not usable in the same way as the rest of the truck. Especially if you market the attic as "extra space." It's not "extra" if it's included in the measurement. I do appreciate, however, that we did not lose space from the wheel wells.

We picked up this trailer from out of town and they did not let us know AHEAD of time that there was NO jack to hook up trailer to our truck. Tongue was too heavy to lift so we had to wait 10 minutes for the service guy to find one for us. Then there also was no ramp to help with loading heavy machinery and furniture. It would have been nice to know this BEFORE we arrived to pick up the trailer!

The truck had a blown fuse to the feed to the dolly. The agent said bad dolly. I had to go to 2 other locations to get the problem resulted. It cast me 3.5hrs of time 1/4 of a tank of gas and I had to drive over 80+ miles. The first agent should have tried to find the issue and not caused me the added issues on my moving day from williamsburg va to ohio. After all that I had a 10hr drive to do.

The process was easy for picking up and drop-off and the online reservation system was accurate and smooth except for the screens that offer add-on services. The links for bypassing add-ons were very small and easy to miss. I just wanted the vehicle, not help unloading, no blankets, E.T.C.

I had purchased the safe move insurance for $70, just in case. I lightly scraped the silver trim while getting gas. I pointed this out to the clerk, and he indicated I had to pay an extra $100+. If I had not told him, he would not have known. So he continued to call 2 people to check if this light scrape was covered on the insurance. Apparently it was as the first person told him, but he continued to call the second person to see if he could scam me out of another $100 if they answered different. We also filled the gas to 5/8 as we should have, but apparently driving less than 1/2 mile, used enough gas so he charged me another $6.00 for gas. He claimed it was under 5/8 of a tank of gas. He said we could get it ourselves, but this location makes it extremely difficult to maneuver the roads to get back to the gas station. I paid it, but I would rather just use another company than deal with with location if I ever need to move again. This person needed more training at this Uhaul desk !

I totally understand Ace was moving. When I drove up I didn't see any trucks and thought I was in the wrong place. New place is nice.uhaul sign or truck out front would be helpful.

Peninsula Ace Hardware was wonderful. Kimberly there rescued us from a problem that Uhaul created originally by sending our truck to a different location in Williamsburg that closed at noon. We had made the reservation for a 3PM pickup. Kimberly deserves a bonus for what she did,

When I returned the rental truck, I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come to the U-Haul desk to wait on me even though the cashier kept calling for someone to come to the desk. The pickup truck I rented had 7/8 tank of gas when I took it. I drove a total of 19 miles. I returned the truck and put 2 gallons of gas in it before returning. I was told the truck's tank was now at 3/4. I said that this was incorrect and when the employee and I went back to confirm, she saw that I was correct and she was wrong.

Ace always does a nice job. Its a shame however that we were charged $5 for the additional 6 miles we went, especially when we returned it with 1/4 tank more gas than we needed too.

The location is convenient and I had no issues with the vehicle. The clerk manning the Uhaul desk within the store was incredibly unpleasant. The website did not give me a code to open the key box, and she made it seem like we were inconveniencing her by asking for assistance.
