The vehicle needs new tires. Not safe.
The truck was not cleaned of ice and snow, wasted too much time of warming it before leaving. The lady was not friendly, her service was slow and unpleasent. I will go to another station next time.
Send email reciept when asked. Charged me for gas without actually replacing the gas, overcharged? 30 min late releasing the truck to me, we had a scheduled time to use the elevator at the destination. This all seemed to be an inconvenience to the people in charge, made me wait over and over while serving walk in people instead of finishing up with me. Lacking priority.

Make sure that you do not call and say you do not have what the customer ordered. Go out of your way to help the customer by going above and beyond like Brenda from the Horvath location did for us. She called your location and made sure we were taken care of even though her location received no commission for the rental. That is what true customer service is about. Thank you Brenda!!!
Truck had a leak in the "Mom's attic . Some water damage on our belongings more concerned on where I filled up the gas
the person was rude and disrespectful on his comments "I better pull it (the trailer) by hand or is going to take you an hour to park it", then he asked me to dismount it and he refused to help, completely the opposite experience vs when I picked up in Ajax.
Despite being in a gas station. The workers were very attentive and helpful and got me on my way as quickly as they could.

Make sure if your going to rent to people that you another person to take care of the gas station ..so your customers will be left waiting and standing around
The only drawback is that it's a gas station/convenience store and you may have to wait for other customers.

The owner “man†unsure if his name kept referring to my partner as “Hey Broâ€. He told him he didn't need him anymore after my partner refilled with gas. Then my partner left. The owner then proceeded to charge my credit card with an additional 23.00 for gas which was not needed as well. When I called him he told me to call uhaul to deal with it! Was completly unprofessional. Which should have been an 80 rental for a uhaul in town tillsonburg then ended up costing so much more because I had to get an vehicle from out of town and bring it to town and drop off here! I was so upset and frustrated
You guys ripped me off for 2 days charge plus the mileage

It was much better then when we picked it up but it was the whole experience with UHaul I will never use this service again there were way to many mistakes made overall. They tell you one thing but it does not happen. I won't make that mistake again.

Nobody was able to help us Or show us to fix the dolly. We had to figure ourselves. It was our first experience with a dolly. Poor service!!! It took us almost one hour to sign the paper, to pay and get the dolly.
Gentleman that helped us checkout was awesome. Very friendly. Will deal with this location again if needed Had to call 1-800-gouhaul to explain to 3 different people that the rental was a one-way trip on a hand printed form - frustrating process

On Sat. March 4 we rented a 20' van. At pickup in the morning the van was just over 1/2 full. Prinkle advised us that we would need to return it at the same level. I returned the van in the afternoon by myself. I had to refuel the vehicle on route or else run out. Prinkle asked me where I refueled - and I told her that I did so on the way home. Her husband checked the mileage, etc and then stated “you should have refuelled here, I helped you out and you should help me outâ€. I stated that it was my choice where I refuel and that he had not helped me out at all - that I simply rented a van from his company. Again he stated that “you should have filled up here - I helped you out, you should help meâ€. I felt very uncomfortable at this point and then he stated “well next time you will seeâ€. I felt that this was a vague threat and I replied that there will be no next time. He said “you are free to goâ€. I feel that this man's behaviour to me was incredibly disrespectful, rude and mildly threatening. I feel like his tone would have been vastly different had I been male customer.

First time using U-HAUL so don't have anything to compare the service to. Have never used a competitor. The 15' cube van was clean and operated as expected. There was no cruise control and that could prove to be a problem for drivers on a long haul. That is the only suggestion I have.
I was charged a $ 15 dollar cleaning fee and it was clean . I swept it all out before I returned it. I paid $139 bucks up front and ended up with $179 dollar bill!
picked up a 20ft uhaul truck with fuel tank gauge a little under the half mark. on return I filled the truck up to the same spot. owner walked out to meet me at the pumps to check the gauge only to tell me i needed to add a litre and a half more .. two dollars later after having to re pump fuel. it wrecked the whole experience. if owner operators renting out the uhaul equipment want fuel levels to be exact. they should fill the tanks to full for the customers prior to renting them out. I do not recommend going to this location.
When I picked up van contact was done manually because system was down. Gas in truck marked off as 1/4 tank. I returned a 1/4 tank but was charged $9.00 because the system said it was just over 1/4 tank. I said no and showed the manual contract. I was said no the system says over. Had to pay more money not happy about that.
The customer service was excellent, however I was pretty surprized at how expensive it was. I just can't understand why the advertising for Uhaul says "get this truck for only $19.99 a day!). And then you use a truck for a couple hours and the bill is $180

You should have 26 footers regularly available at this location. They usually only have 20'ers. I was lucky that a 26'er just happened to be returned that day.
The lady had no idea what she was doing. She was very curt with me. And it wasn't the vehicle I reserved.
The people at the dealer we're good to deal with but U-Haul as a company needs to get their act together because they are completely incompetent and have no accountability for their sense of this nonsense and planning and lack of it
The attendant couldn't get it to work in their computer, so they called U-Haul direct and they got it done. It took over an half hour to do and I felt that was way to long.
Ensure all staff that is renting U-Haul is properly trained

Aside from the store appearing disshevilled and a bit grimey, the storekeeper is abusive towards UHaul customers. He has made me wait at every instance (five rentals in the past 30 days) to both rent and to return the vehicle, while he serviced other customers and did whatever on his phone - talking, texting, browsing??. On average, renting from this location wastes over an hour of my time at each occasion. To reduce my wait this time, I completed the entire transaction on my cell phone and went inside only to collect the key; his response was that I had really screwed him up by doing that, and proceeded to redo the rental using a different vehicle, citing that he was hoping to collect an extra $15 from some other customer based on the fuel gauge - Im still unclear how that was supposed to work, but he clearly is expecting to cheat someone out of an extra $15 somehow. He is not only abusive to UHaul customers in favour of others, but requested that I review a text exchange he was exchanging with another customer, and made a disparaging commment to me about a disbled individual who was in his store. In the past couple of visits, he gave me grief about refuelling the vehicle at a location other than his, claiming that I am taking his money. Tonight, he threatened to charge me a cleaning fee if i rented a van from him again and refuelled elsewhere, pointing to an alleged piece of dirt the driver's footwell. To sum things up, the behaviour of this individual comes across as disingenuous at best and perhaps even fraudulent at worst. This is my last try at dealing with him. I'll use some other rental agency next time. I advise caution when doing business with him - take pictures before & after, etc. Sounds like a hassle? Yeah... That's why I'm going elsewhere next time.
UHaul needs to counsel its franchisees about berating customers for refuelling at a station other than the renting agency. I was told last night by the owner "I'm not happy." And "Don't expect any favours next time you want to rent. I might not rent anything to you if you're going to [gas up elsewhere]." And "I don't care about the $10 I get from UHaul, I only do this for the extra revenue from gassing up." UHaul customers are routinely made to wait until all other (gas, car wash and convenience store) customers have been taken care of. It takes 45 minutes to get out on the road from this location. I'll be looking to rent from someone else next time i need a truck. As a repeat customer, I dont expect to be treated this way. No, as ANY customer, this is unacceptable.
This location is in a gas station. Although I may have been in front of the line it was clear that some one buying chips took priority. It took far too long to get the paperwork done after seeing a dozen or more people served in between me.
