This location tried to rip me off saying I didn't put enough gas in the vehicle when returning it. Store clerk got some guy on the phone who was very belligerent to me. Then they tried to charge me for 2 days rental when I only had the vehicle for 9 hours. Terrible experience!JOHNA L.

The issues I had were not with this location. This is ultimately the worst experience ever trying to obtain a U-Haul rental. I was treated poorly and quite rudely whenever I called to get an update on the status of my reservation. The Hamilton Traffic Office employee TJ and the "Regional Manager" Lucy Sky?? I believe was her name, unilaterally decided to cancel my reservation without my knowledge. I was yelled at and treated horribly by "Lucy". She should not be a Manager of any form and Reprimanded. Owner called me a thief and a liar because I didn't have a gas receipt, told me the gauge was broken after I told her I got gas, then when she realized she wasn't stealing from me that way she said the box was too dirty even though I went through a car wash and swept it clean. I have pictures and video proof. They altered my driven mileage after I dropped off my vehicle changing 80km to 200kmDylan S.

Owner was very rude and not informative at all. I needed the truck a day before I actually received it but due to the unprofessional attitude, and the owners daughter not knowing what she was doing, my move didn't go as planned and got pushed another day ahead which costed me money! Her daughter was not trained in this field of work renting trucks, truck was not clean at all. I have rented plenty of times and never have I had such a terrible experience. I will never recommend anyone to visit this location.JOHN W.

Worst experience from a uhaul dealer ever. Will never be using the company again. Ordering and picking up, no issue. The vehicle, no issue. Dropping off and billing, unacceptable. 1) when I dropped it off I was asked if I filled it up and where did I fill it up. Why does it matter? I received it over F and returned over F. I told him it was at a certain location and he said I would have to pay the extra charge cause I didn't fill up at his location. Over never seen the contract that I have to fill up the gas station I get it from, that's crap. We argued back and forth and I told him I wasn't paying it. When he finally, walked away he turns to me and says bill is paid. I didn't authorize or review, plus I wanted to pay cash. Not acceptable. When I finally got my e receipt via email, I found out why he just processed it, he didn't charge me for gas, but instead charged me $25 for cleaning fee. What is that, didn't even ask me, and show me the issue. It was in the same shape I received it, even better. I removed the garbage. What, am I being billed cause it was snowing and there was water and snow from my shoes in the back? If that is your expectation, then I expected it mopped prior. This whole process is unacceptable and taking advantage of people is wrong, and I shouldn't have been charged. I will make sure everyone I know and going forwards choose a different rental provider. These practices are not acceptable.TROY W.

The issue that i faced was not with the locations for pick up or drop off. The issue was a level of inconvenience and the poor customer service received over the phone. To be honest not poor customer service as much as a lack of understanding for the inconvenience faced.Leon B.

The computer system is troublesome. Time is limited and having to re-do what I took the time to ahead of time online is very disheartening. In spite of uploading my updated drivers license ahead of time online, the computer flagged it as out of date so I had to wait while it was entered. Also, in spite of having declined everything other than the trailer rental, it was in the computer that I had opted for insurance . . . which I had not. Like I said this computer system is annoying. Why make the effort to do all of this stuff online if I have to re-do it at the location.Fred T.

The strap ratchets that tension the tie downs need to be lubricated as it was impossible to remove the strap from the ratchet when we tried offload. The rotating element should be lubricated occasionally so it can rotate freely. Luckily I was carrying enough tools that I had a large flat screwdriver that I used to turn the bars. Other than this issue, the trailer worked as designed and the trip was uneventful.HENRYK S.

I specifically asked the guy at the counter not to charge my credit card as I pay everything on line as I had done every time in the past. He tells me he has to and then proceeds to put the same transaction thought 5 times. Now I have no funds left on my card and trying to deal with Uhaul to fix. Equipment was maintained, but not clean. Pick up of vehicle - the vehicle was 1.5 hours from where we live, making pick up inconvenience and an additional expense. As we were driving to pick up the vehicle, I call Uhaul, spoke to a lovely representative that told me that our bill was paid in full as I had paid on-line. Upon arrival, we were told we owed another $900+. The clerk at the gas station could not tell us why. We had to call Uhaul service line again to get clarity - another 25 minutes wait. Upon reaching a representative, they could not clearly explain why - the amount represents HST...which I completely understand as the location would have to claim the sale. It is very unfortunate that your team could not explain that. This type of communication creates doubt and uneasiness in the client. The 2-wheel dolley we rented was so bent it was not usable. We had also ordered a furniture cart, which the location did not have. Overall the customer experience part of the our experience was terrible. The vehicle we rented, worked well and we arrived safely.Lenard K.

Finish what you're doing before leaving us to wait even longer, we have a limited time with the vehicle and have to wait for him again and again because he kept wasting time leaving our transaction.ADAM W.

Drop off site was a gas station. 1 employee covering the entire site. I had no idea where to park. Site was not expecting my drop off. I thought the express check in was enough, Boy was I wrong! First you have the most convoluted way of hooking up a trailer. The staff in tillsonburg accused me of stealing a trailer because I didn't come inside to sign.(what's the point of the express check in) then he changes the drop location to a place 30km away from the original point I picked. The website doesn't allow you to change the drop location, so i called customer service to find out its an hour hold time. All of this for a damn trailer.Kristopher B.
