Worst U -Haul Experience that I have had after decades of using U- Haul. Some examples: 1.) Rental was for four hours and I get a text an hour after picking up the truck that the rental is for three hours. 2.) Gas was between 1/2 and a 1/4 tank. I refueled to bring the gas to that point. When I received the final invoice I was charged an additional 3 gallons of gas.John S.

Service was good at Postal Experts. My main issue was that the gas was about a 1/4 tank full. On the Contract it said 3/4 full and I ended-up paying the difference on return. The Van ran well. It could use an internal cleaning, nothing major--like vacuum and a little light trash.Paul H.

Reserved pick-up time at 9:30am. Was notified by phone call from u-haul that due to a lock box issue I had to wait until the location opened at 10:00 or pick up at another location. I arrived at 10:00 and could not check unit out due to a problem with system. Took 50 minutes to resolve. Major inconvenience due to the tight timeline I was on.Michael C.

Service agent turned up 40 minutes late and did not even so much as apologize. My pick up was 10.00 and i got out of there at 10.55.COLIN R.
The owner was so rude and disrespectful! He was on the phone the whole time we're dealing with the transaction. He did not give me an official printed receipt nor explained to me how things work in renting his cargo van. He just gave me the key without leading me to the van nor led me to a walk through of the vehicle. The vehicle smelled so bad! It smelled like horse manure inside the cab! Traces of hay were also all found on the passenger seat. Just today, when I asked very POLITELY for an explanation on the charges, he just told me to call the 800 number. When I told him that he's being difficult to deal with, he called me, "You're difficult!" That's so unprofessional and unacceptable to call your client names! U-Haul needs to deal with him swiftly so nothing like this will happen again to potential renters. Helping your family member move to a new apartment should NEVER be like this. THIS IS SUCH A DISAPPOINTING AND DISCOURAGING EXPERIENCE FOR SOMEONE WHO REPRESENTS A MAJOR MOVING BUSINESS IN THE UNITED STATES!!!APOLINAR G.

Computer had too many glitches and employee was not professional. He spoke his own language over the phone and ignored me. The first truck that I rented was making too much noise and the engine needed oil. Then I switched to a van. I will not return to that location.JEAN D.
I specifically asked if I had to do to anything other than return the vehicle other than park the car in the correct spot and return the keys to the key box- the attendant responded 'no, nothing'. So after getting home I see I've received a text and email, asking me to take pictures of the car and do a location check on my phone, and if I didn't it would cost me $20. I was basically robbed $20 bucks because the attendant gave me false information. The vehicle part of the way through the drive had an oil light come on and would beep frequently. As I was already half way out, there was no way to return it quickly. This shows the vehicle is not well maintained to my opinion. I've been a Uhual customer for years, and am disappointed in this experience.Dean O.

I accidentally left my dolly in the back of the truck. The manager did not call to tell me when he inspected the truck. When I realized that they had forgotten it, I called to ask to come get it. The manager said let me check and set the phone down. I could clearly hear him moving the dolly, I guess to hide it and them come back and say no, it's not here. Stealing a dolly Really He's that much in need of a few bucks!! Shame on him! The sales guy Rick had poor customer service. I was rushed to pick up the reserved van when my reservation was from 2:30-6:30. I called as a courtesy to let him know I was running behind and he told me that he wasn't sure if the van would be here by 3:30 if I didn't come now to pick it up. He had others wanting to use the van. That was really crappy. I had to come pick up the van instead of waiting for my son 10 min to get his school picture completed. When I returned the van, the registered odometer reading was incorrect as I was told I drove 56 miles vs. the 11 miles I drove the van as I arrived back to the rental facility within 45 min. Thank goodness I took photos to upload to their site upon my departure from the facility to include my mileage. Otherwise, I would have been charged 45 extra miles. I had to wait at the facility another 20-25 minutes to get this matter resolved. It was unresolved before I left as he had to wait for his manager to call back. He did however call me 30 minutes later when the bill was adjusted. The bill still was not right as I was charged the $10 insurance despite me waiving that on my reservation. He kept saying my system didn't say that. I told him I declined it online and even had my insurance card in my hand when I was signing my credit card authorization. He told me he couldn't help me and I would have to call customer service. I spent 30 minutes waiting on the phone fir a representative and Thomas was great. He immediately refunded back my $10 for the insurance fee. He apologized for my wait and he apologized fir the poor customer service I received at Postal Experts/UHaul. I know now not go to a small dealer when it comes to UHaul as you may not get the same level/good customer service as expected.AMY N.

The guy at postal experts gave us the worst experience I've ever had in my life. He assured me the vehicle was clean, gave me the keys, I walked around the building to see that the van was filthy inside and out. I made videos since he did not want to come outside; He snatched the Keys out of the van and told me that he would just give me a refund and refused to let me use the van or the clean one that he said wasn't available. I told him that someone was waiting on me and he proceeded to tell me it wasn't his problem. I then had to find a location and pay an extra $150 to the customer that was waiting on me to bring the van. He even lied to his boss â€œChrisâ€ disappointingly his boss believed his lies instead of trying to hear me out, the worker kept talking over me, and cursing. It was horrible. I was there for almost two hours because he acted like he couldn't refund my money, and he was the one forcing a refund that cost me money. It was horrible, and I have it in video.Kayla W.

I was there for my reservation on time however the employee was not at work on time and cause me to not get my rental until 50 minutes later than scheduled time. Which caused me to have to pay the movers additional pay. I will never use this location again due to this incident. I returned the car at 8:45 yesterday. However, it was recorded as 9:15, and an additional $20 fee was incurred. I don't think this is justified. Please take action. The fatal thing is, in U-Hual The 15-feet truck arriving at 5 o'clock arrived at 6:30, so I rented a small car and took an additional 2 hours to use the helpers. The location did not have the furniture pads even though I had ordered 2 dozen in my reservation. After picking up the truck we had to drive to another U-Haul location to pick them up. The individual at this location did not provide any info on the truck that you woiuld expect when renting a vehicle. Important info like the fuel level, whether we have to refill the fuel, how the tolls work were not covered.Sabiha B.

The employee told us, when I called him a week ahead of time, to book the truck on the UHaul app. I told him the date I was coming. when we arrived, the app said we needed to go inside the store but the employee was 35 minutes late. He did not apologize and we ended up not getting our truck until 9:30 instead of 8:30 and then we got charged an extra day. For some reason the system said we had to return it at 2:30???? First they gave the truck 2 hours late because their system wasn't working. Because of this the guy who was helping me said that because of the delay he adjusted my return time to 24hrs, which he didn't. Then after 6hrs they start sending messages because I had to return the truck so I had to spend 1 hour on the phone to fix their mess. Don't go to this location!!! Is a mess!!!Fernando P.

Drop off was not communicated, by the vendor. Was only told to have the truck back by 11pm and leave the keys in the dropbox. There was no mention of logging out online. Dropped the vehicle off at 6:45pm, which was well before the 11pm cur off and was charged additional $20 the next day for not logging the return online.Brenton T.
When I received the truck, the cargo area was not 100% clean. It has some dirt and dust on the floor. The guy from the counter told me I could use it that way and return it in the same condition. I just used it to load two pieces of furniture so the dirt did not affect me. But other customers may find inconvenient the small but significant amount of dirt.Carlos A.

The owner is extremely disorganized. Kept on pulling up a different contract other than mine because It had the same last name had to explain her multiple times that that's not my contract same last name but different contract. We have been renting with uhaul for some time and unfortunately this would be the first time we would be facing any problems!! we returned the truck as we told the agent we would return, yet we were charged for additional day!! we cleaned the truck, although it wasn't dirty, it was used for a few short hours, and yet we were charged "cleaning fee"!! we did NOT use ANY of the equipments! and yet we were charged!! a simple interaction turned into this erroneous and expensive ordeal!! Make sure that the location opens on time The clerk was 30 to 45 minutes late opening the store so the key was not available for the truck. The key was not in the lockbox which would have allowed picking up the truck without her being there.Stuart M.
