I was charged for twice as many miles as i actually used. The employee refused to listen to me, and the van smelled like cat pee. I will never use uhaul again if i'm going to get ripped off for a smelly truck. For what she charged me i could have just hired movers and saved myself the back pain.

The location did not open until 9:30am but I scheduled to pick up the truck at 7am. I was aware I would need to use truck share but it would not work on my phone. I called customer service for uhaul and sat on hold for 15 minutes before I was hung up on. I then used the chat to try and correct the problem and was told by the agent I needed to download the app which was not stated in the previous instructions. The app downloaded but then wouldn’t load. I am a single mom who took an Uber to pick up this truck and had to sit in the parking lot for 2.5 hours waiting for them to open to receive help from anyone! I will never use uhaul again and will make sure to spread the word to everyone I know so they don’t have to go through this same awful experience!

I’m not one to ever write reviews if I’ve had a bad experience, but the customer service at this location was very dissapointing. I scheduled a 8:30 AM pick up on August 5th, which was a Sunday morning in Katy, Texas. I was warned from the employee that the uhaul center would be closed, but they would indeed send me everything I need in order to pick my 15’ moving van appropriately. I went ahead and did my express check in online because I got a text message link and followed the steps. At the end of my express check in, I went ahead and paid everything in full so that there wasn’t any confusion or delay when the pick up date came. I live in Dallas so I coordinated my flight and ride from the airport accordingly so that I could pick up uhaul at 8:30 AM and start loading up my furniture that morning. When I arrived at Istorage there was a sign on the door that said closed, but I wasn’t worried because I was already warned. I went to my confirmation email from Uhaul and was worried when it stated that a Uhaul representative would reach out with details regarding my pick up. Nobody had reached out or sent me sort of link so I called the store, the neighboring uhaul location, and googled every uhual number you could imagine. What was strange was that the front door had a customer service number on it that read ?(866) 295-5154?, which I finally desperately called. Turns out it was a business in Florida that had absolutely no idea what I was talking about and claimed it was a totally different business and that Istorage needed to change that customer service number because it was completely wrong. I called every number in my confirmation emails and of course tried the managers number at the site, which connected directly over to her cell phone, but I never got an answer. After an hour, another manager called me back after listening to my voicemail from the 1492 Woodcreek bend lane, Katy Texas location, which was just down the street. He relayed that his location was closed but was concerned about who booked my rental at 8:30 becuase in the system they booked it incorrectly Considering they opened at 10:00 AM. He was very apologetic and I wasn’t even his customer, really showed he cared. He helped out and gave me the corporate Uhaul number to call so that they could redirect me to the closest uhaul center with a 15’ moving van. He was extremely helpful and got the ball rolling for me. I spoke with a rep and she insisted that Istorage dropped the ball but were opening in 15 minutes and that it would be better to wait than find another truck. She gave me her direct line and told me to call back if they didn’t open at 10. Around 10:05 AM a lady came out and I explained that I had a 8:30 AM pickup and that somebody dropped the ball becuase I had been waiting all morning and had movers. She explained that she had nothing to do with the mistake and that corporate Uhaul actually messed up and owed me an apology and $50 money back guarantee.....she immediately

You didn't have the van available that I reserved so I had to drive a 10' box truck, did not care for that. You charged me 2 extra miles that I didn't use, I have pictures that I took of the mileage before and after. If I owed you a 1.38 you would make me pay it so I would appreciate it if you paid me. The pick up service on my smartphone was a HORRIBLE experience. It took 2.5 hours to go through the process at 9:30 PM, then the lady of the storage store came out to help and had to open her store at 11 pm.

Hands down the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Equipment didn't come properly equipped to tow a trailer and despite delaying our trip by 12 hours, over 6 hours on hold or on phone with Uhaul, and visiting 4 different locations we never got a resolve to our issue. We were constantly lied to, or just transferred back into the queue when representatives didn't want to "deal" with our problem. Uhaul claims "safety is our primary concern", however, we towed a trailer for 18hrs without trailer brakes because Uhaul can care less about its consumers, nor our safety. We finally spoke with one of the division presidents along our route, yet he refused to assist or equip the truck with the $80 part it needed to properly stop the truck and towed trailer. I am beyond disgusted with this organization and their disregard for their customers and safety.

Customer service, location, experience is overall great. The only thing is that the U-Haul I rented wasn’t cleaned out very well. It had cigarette butts and sticky surfaces. The alignment was off and brakes were a bit iffy.

I made my reservation and my check in at 9 am , I have a inconveniente for pick up at time , around 10:00 the secretary call me and Told me ny reservation given a another customer, that is rude and not respected my online reservation. I not agree with that because in my confirmation not said you will keep my reservation for 1 hours.
