No pig tale for car carrier at this location. I had to drive 35 miles extra to pick up the equipment even though i had booked the reservation well in advance. This was a big in convenience for my wife and I.Harvey B.

5/30/2018 Dear UHAUL, On 5/3/2018 I reserved a 5 X 9 Utility Trailer to pick up in Laramie, WY on 5/26/2018. I received an email confirmation at that time from UHAUL. On 5/25/2018 I received a text message at 7:10 pm that pick up would be in Walden Colorado. I then phoned UHAUL for the Laramie area and she told me she needed to check a few things and she would call me right back. Well â€“ no return call and now it was after 8:00 pm which is the time the call center closed. I then called back on Saturday morning at 7:33 am. I spoke with â€œKatieâ€ she checked surrounding areas and told me that Walden was my only option and that they were open until 12:00 pm on Saturdays. Walden is 130 miles round trip from Laramie. I was offered a bigger trailer which I thought was odd as my vehicle could not qualify to tow it. I needed this trailer rental on this day as my family was headed for Oregon and had to be back to work on Monday. Without a choice â€“ I told â€œKatieâ€ to be sure and check with the Walden location (Baugh Westside Shop) as I did not want to make the trip and not be able to pick up. (I lived in Walden for 30 years and personally know the Baugh family and thus had concerns as they are avid ATV enthusiasts and historically spend Memorial weekend and Labor Day weekend at the sand dunes.) She assured me she would call them personally and then send me a notification which I received at 7:46 am. I then left for Walden at 8:30 am for the 10:00 am pick up time 32677 Hwy 14. I arrived at 10:00 am and as I had feared they were closed. I called the number on the gate and was unable to reach the Baugh's. I then called UHAUL and the female representative said she was going to call them and put my on hold - then the holding music stopped â€“ I kept asking to see if they were still there and then said â€œHELLOâ€ loudly a male representative asked if someone was on the line â€“ â€œYes I'm still here and still holdingâ€. He then told me there was nothing he could do and the Walden location was closed. I am now further frustrated just traveled what will be 130 miles and wasted 3 hours. He then said â€œwhy don't you drive to Granby to pick up a trailerâ€ â€“ AGAIN an additional 130 mile round trip. He said he would pay my time and mileage. I told him I absolutely would not be driving further. That would have been 260 miles and 6 hours' drive time. Not acceptable!!! He clearly could care less and repeated there was nothing else he could do. I then went back into Walden and spoke with some residents there and got the number for Baugh's personal cell phone. As I already presumed they were at the sand dunes and had no intention on coming back to town. He told me had not received ANY correspondence from UHAUL for the reservation. Once he knew it was for me (as I have known him for 30 years) he unhappily said he would meet me to pick up trailer but it would take him about 45 minutes to get there.
