I was charged for furniture pads I never received despite telling the service representative multiple times that I never received them. Terrible customer service, I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone.

JUDE KAs soon as I got in the highway it start raining very hard. As soon as I turned the windshield wipers on the driver side wiper flew off… it was even attached, they had just rested the blade under the arm. This was an urgent move and I could not reschedule so I had to drive over an hour with barely any visibility
David EWhen we arrived to picked up our truck, the truck wasn't swept, garbage left in the truck. It was almost left on almost empty of gas. After returning our truck, we recieved our email reciept and we were charged for things we did not ask for and should not have been charged for. When we called the location the man was very rude. We will be filing a formal complaint with Uhaul and would like our final payment reassessed. Thank you

Joel MThe customer service was terrible he didn’t tell me anything about me renting or even what truck was mine. He didn’t even come out and look at the truck or explain anything to me. There is no parking at this location unless you want to pay the hotel rate of $15 for the day.

afzali mWe had to wait for almost an hour for someone to come, when he did return to the drsk he went for a smoke. If i hadnt have seen the trucks across the road in an obscured parking lot we wouldnt have know where it was. When we asked where do we find out truck he just waved outside to his empty parking lot and said match the codes. Neither the parking lot at the hotel or across the road were plowed. The truck was parked in a snow bank, my son fell on the snow hurting his back pushing the truck out. He has missed several days of school now. The windshield of the truck had a solid sheet of ice on it. The fuel tank was empty. The back door was open and there was something dripping in the middle of the truck. We rent uhauls for work all the time and have never had a bad experience until now.
SEAN KThe parking lot was so filled with snow and slush that the truck actually got stuck in front of the inn. While the staff member there was helpful with directing us where to park next, and getting the truck unstuck, it was an unnecessary obstacle once again in terms of the vehicle. Further, the fact that we actually were redirected to park somewhere else as to not block the other U-Haul vehicles was confusing, especially at 11-12 at night when it is cold and the truck is stuck in the parking lot. I think there needed overall to be more preparation, organization, and clarity. Only real plus I can think of is the U-Haul rep that was there, he helped us out and directed us well.
Mahalah WThe truck was stuck in a snow bank and took around 30 minutes to get out. The cab and back of the truck was filthy. They also over charged me for gas. I drove the truck 11km and for some reason they think I burned 15 litres of fuel. That’s 136L/100km!

ELIZABETH MI had not included the collision damage waiver when I booked my vehicle. When I returned it, I realized that cost was included. The location mentioned that they had nothing to do with it & must contact u-haul directly. I’m not happy with that experience. Felt like there were hidden charges.

The clerk was unaware of if the Dolly that I ordered was in the van, so had take one from the office and put in the van. Don't believe the $19.95 price. Cost $80. For quite a short move. Also I cannot scroll down the text as I write it in this stupid review. don't believe this $19.95 price.it cost $80. For a very short trip.
WILLIAM Hcharged extra for gas when i put gas in to match when i picked up u haul. was quoted 69 cents per km over the phone then 88 cents. not pleased.

Nancy BWorst U-Haul dealer we have ever been to. They are very shady and tried to charge us for mileage on a previous customer and fuel level. We told them in the morning during pickup of this issue and they only updated their system for the fuel level since it was a whole half quarter off, then we get the receipt and are charged for an extra 30km that we never used, thank god we have picture proof. Submitted a complaint w U-Haul to get our money back and will never use this dealer again, hope you guys lose your partnership with U-Haul because this is very shady business, not to mention you guys charge for parking to swap our vehicle in the same U-Haul spot.

GWEN KI went there, one person told me park in front of other hotel cross the street which is ours. We wanted to park over there and some people from the apartment were telling us not to park here. Here is our parking. I came back to the place, there were two more security guards and they told me to park here. However, they did not write down the mileage or gas or anything. They took the key. Very poor customer service.
MOSLEM MTerrible experience. Tank was at a quarter tank when I picked it up but they expected it to be filled to half when I brought it back. The location is in a brothel/ crackden i was scared for my life walking in. Expensive and unsafe. Will never go back or recommend.
ALYSSA ZWe had a bit of a problem the gas was on empty so I called before leaving the premier inn parking lot and said the gas is on empty and the U-Haul guy said just take a pic of it so I did and then when I dropped it off I was charged for gas and an extra day and I’m still trying to get my money returned to me.
Richard ZI paid for a furniture dolly and the location didn't have one. I was told that my bill would be adjusted to reflect that, but it was still charged on my bill. So I should be credited back my $7.00 plus tax on my credit card.

Elizabeth TOffered virtual pick up at a location that didn’t have virtual pick up. Spent an hour trying to get the truck. Uhaul website went down and the person at the desk had no idea what to do. Minimal signage even directing you to go inside- I didn’t see it and had to wait twenty minutes on the phone with Uhaul before being told to go inside so the person on the phone could talk to the person at the desk, only to have the person on the phone hang up on me. Once getting the truck, the mirror was cracked and it was parked so close to the other truck (mirror essentially touching) that if my husband had been any less agile or had not been a professional truck driver, we would have not been able to get in and would have damaged the truck getting out. We were not the only people with this issue at this location.
Talize APicked up the U-Haul and the tank was on empty the app said it was missing equipment (i hadn’t booked any). The third party receptionist disappeared for 3 hours when I tried to return the keys. Back of the truck had food garbage and paint brushes. Was thoroughly unimpressed
Brad KWhen customer book truck and accessories as important as furniture trolly, weeks before moving. And yet again on a Sunday morning at 8:30 am, when I was there to pick up the truck. I was told that the trolly is not available. Seriously. If I need big truck for 2-3 bedroom size house move. How do you expect me to lift the furniture or other heavy stuff. At that point getting truck is either useless or it's torture to move stuff without trolly especially in such a hot weather. So really disappointing first experience with U haul. I hope somebody responds and explain.

HARSHIT Vwhen doing my initial inspection a homeless person popped out of the back of the truck. no damage but staff should have checked and made sure it was locked upon last return. My invoice has fuel charge which I disputed with Uhaul customer service and will be getting a refund, but staff should have submitted truck return fuel level accurately into the system. Overall service was good but staff at the counter looked to be pre-occupied with other tasks as they manage the hotel and are only third party for Uhaul so the Uhaul customer experience was not their priority.
Amir SYou do not get a reciet in hand, showing the miles, fuel and the condition of the truck so the customer would know what they are getting or just to compare. They also charge customers to park thier private cars, which led me to pick the truck 30 mins late. There were discripancy in the fuel guage that was marked on the reciet upon recieving the truck, which led to them charging me extra on gas but I have a videos to prove everything.
Fayez JThe primary location that we were directed to return did not exist. Customer service was no help at all. They put me on hold for over 15 minutes. The gentleman at the service counter at the alternate drop off location assisted with changing the drop off location on the app. Customer service by phone to the American counter part was no help at all. They actually told me there would be an additional charge dropping off at a different location than specified. The location they offered was an empty lot that was boarded up. Very disappointed in the drop off experience especially after a long distance move.

scott FThe clerk at the hotel was 30 minutes late. He stepped out. The check out time was that evening. Not 11:14 a.m. Next day. Therefore I was overcharged. I was charged for 2 days for the appliance dolly. Therefore: extra day truck rental $49.95. Extra day dolly rental 10.00. Please issue a refund to my credit card or by etransfer. I am just doing this review now because I have had to have surgeries and recovery time.

KUIPOR NExtremely poor service. Chaotic management style and prioritizes their hotel customers first even though I was there first. I returned my truck 30 minutes before my scheduled return time 8:30 pm instead of 9 pm and later received an invoice saying I returned the truck at 1 am the next day and charged me 2 rental periods and doubled everything on my receipt (probably because the person at the counter never checked my truck out until that time even though I returned the truck on time). I tried calling back the location and either no one answered or the person on duty claimed that they were not in charge and couldn't do anything about it. Had to email the Uhaul office to get things straight. I do not recommend, go to other locations if you can.

ALFRED UThis is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to use. First of all, they lie about their tariffs. The website says $19.95 plus $0.89/kilometer. You are pleasantly surprised and count on $40-50, but in the end, you pay for the distance, and for gasoline (15 liters per 21 km), and not 19.95, but 39.90, and safe mode, and environmental fee and tax and you end up paying 3 times as much: $150 for 21 km in the city on a 10' Truck. No one can even give you an approximate price, you will find out after the fact. You don't pay, they charge you as much as they want. If they told me $150 on the website, I'd say ok and pay $150, but they tell you 19.95 plus $0.89/kilometer and then charge you $150 for 21km. It's petty cheating. 2. They ask for all your credit card information and store it (including cvv) in the public domain, any employee can take it and use it and you have no control over it. You can't enter the data into the system yourself, there is no way. You only have to provide them in plaintext to an employee. 3. The car is dirty. I agree that even $150 for 21km on a moving truck is not bad, but cheating on prices, insecure storage of your payment data and a dirty car is a terrible service.
Maksym SI am revising my prior rating of 2 stars to 1 star. Since first reviewing, it turns out the erroneous parking ticket that I found on my personal car left in the UHAUL parking lot (unbeknownst to me, actually owned by the city), which I got because the UHAUL staff failed to register my plate despite taking my payment for parking, was never cleared up by them even though they promised to take care of it. Furthermore - and more seriously - in investigating the parking issue I noticed that the receipt for my rental is overcharging me due to incorrect odometer readings entered on both the start and the finish of my travel. I know this because I had photographed the dash (to document the gas level). I made a typo in my prior review, saying 45 km but in fact it was 35km; they charged me 52 km. Given the multiple complaints this location has, I feel very certain it is run by scammers who are defrauding customers and probably UHAUL too. My polite attempts to resolve the issue have met with resistance from the staff.
Shannon GI was just ripped off, I rented a truck for 2.5 hours and they strategically made sure i was double charged by back dating! 19.95 for 24 hours, these guys are con artists. I put less than 40 km on it too and cleaned the tim hortons garbage that was left in the console compartment that had rotting food in it. 100 dollars for 2.5 hours! I rented a uhaul in branrford for 24 hours and it cost that amount. Ive heard of uhaul dealers doing this, im filing a report with consumer affairs ontario and the Better Business Beurau. Just unfair. Shame on them!

Christopher MI'm used to the impeccable care at Plains Road East and Governor's Road. The attendant was polite and professional but the vehicle was a mess. The response was "I guess others left it that way!?" So they don't really check or clean in-between.
Maya RI had the truck for 1.5 hours. I put on 4 miles. And they say I used ⅛ of a tank of fuel. I have a picture with the mileage that says other wise.

harshkumar P1. Notify customer that the truck they had reserved is not going to be available. I wanted a small truck, and only used the Premier Inn because that size was not available at the location closer to where I was moving from. Replacing a smaller truck with a larger one does not always meet a client's needs. 2. Taking almost an hour to get my truck because the agent is busy checking people out of the hotel and dealing with customer issues in the lobby is not acceptable. Blankets that I had reserved were not ready and had to be hunted down. Only seven of twelve were available and I did not have time to wait while they found more. This issue is not the fault of the agent in Hamilton, it is a breakdown in the system. 3. On the positive side, the lady I returned the truck to in Sarnia was very pleasant and helpful. Her efforts meant that I would use U-Haul again, but not at Premier Inn location.
