Reserved for 7:00 am. Even called to confirm. Nobody showed up to open the store until 8:20. Wasted an hour and a half waiting. No apology, just blew me off. Truck was filthy. Had to sweep it out first. Had to clean windshield to see out. Wiper blades were shot.

Listen to the customer. I asked to pay cash. They took my credit card information. They only knew the mileage that was used when I came back. And looked to see if I refuelled. Only then could they give me a total for billing. They accepted my cash payment and also charged me the same amount to my credit card!!! Overall a very frustrating experience! The truck was not swept out and I had to lay blankets down.

I had the opportunity to use your services twice in the last month or so. Same vehicle and same route and time. The last time I was charged more than $17. Additional gas charge was $8 more the second time. Not sure the reason but it left a bad taste. Happy to discuss if needed.

Location was average rural uhaul dealer. The truck was not the best I've rented though. The roll up door was very stiff and the top right roller came off. The steering had excessive play for a ford truck of this age. Also had a bad vibration noise at 40mph. Regards

I booked at one location online, and it was confirmed. When I called to check, they did NOT have the vehicle. However, they helped me find another truck nearby and that location was great. Your online system is pretty messed up if you can get a confirmation,but the place you book isn't aware of the booking!!!

Disappointed in the mile rate increase if 10 cents per mile. Rented a month ago at 49 cents per mile and think the increase a real “money grab” by you.

This is the second time I've rented a van from this location. The service person was nice and the van was clean but when I got in it had only 3/4 of a tank of gas and the right front tire was low on air causing a warning sign to pop up on the dash. I only used the van for an hour and drove maybe 15 km but before bringing it back I thought I'd fill the tank and put air in the front tire. The tank cost $40 to fill and when I mentioned it to the owner, I was told that none of that money would be reimbursed. I won't be renting from there again.

We were told at the pick up location after asking and clarifying multiple times that we could drop off our truck at any location we pleased and of we wanted an extra day could not add it at the till there but would have it added at the time of drop of. We used the truck and dropped it off at our location of choice at exsctly 24 hours after pick up and then proceeded to get text messages from another Uhaul dealer who said he was waiting for the truck and another customer had rented it for that time slot. We then also were charged an extra days fee even though we dropped the truck off at exactly 24 hours after use. My experience with u haul has tainted my entire moving experience and has added an immense amount of stress to me and my family who are already dealing with enough stress from a move to a new city, needing to find new jobs etc. I will Not be using u haul ever again for anything and will be sharing my experience with everyone I know as well as online so people are aware of what coykd happen to them. None of this was my fault it was the fault of a clearly untrained representative who misinformed us greatly and because of this we have additional fees and penalties to pay for something we were mis informed about. I sincerely hope this does not happen to any one and hope that u-haul will take accountability for its mistakes and harm causes in this situation.

The vehicle was relatively new, and everything was in good working order. All 6 tire pressures were up to spec. I had ordered 20 blankets for the move. None were available. The load deck was filthy from the previous renters usage, and had not been cleaned. We did it. The cab was filthy as well, and I also cleaned that.

More frequent maintenance on all trucks. The one I rented was a great way to book early spinal surgery. The brakes were too weak, the transmission struggled with gear changes, the suspension felt like concrete slabs, the steering feel was non communicative, & the headlights need upgrading to at least brighter halogen. Suggestion... backup cameras on all vehicles. Or distance sonar...

2 key points: This is another locatiin that claimed their UHAUL card reader didn't work and had to manually enter my credit card information. The last time this happened this past summer I had my credit card information stolen, credit fraud attempted and needed a new card. I should hope this will not be a second event at a different UHAIL location or I may begin to think this is not an isolated incident or possibly common practice in this busines. Secondly, I have rented many UHAIL, at least 6 in the last 5 months alone and never have I rented a trick that had good windshield wipers on the drivers side, not once. This list rental, had it been used at night, I could not have driven it or would have had to purchase and replace the wipers. This is a safety concern and died not adhere to Transport Canada regulations. UHAUL locations should ensure renters can see where their going when driving. And yes, I had my passenger take a picture of the drivers side wiper experience.

Truck was very dirty inside the cab. There was obvious caked on dirt on outside as well. There was no offer of pre trip inspection assistance either. Truck had a fairly bad vibration at low speed as well.

Well... when you go to the store and ask to keep the 26 foot truck they have out back instead of taking it out of town. Three days before I needed it...was told yes no problem.. recieved a phone call comfiming pick up and time the night before . Awesome... get to the store on moving day...and shes all ready rented both 26 foot trucks...wtf...said I could have one for two hours..who can move in two hours??? Had to take a smaller truck...which meant two trips and more of a headache than necessary...WAS NOT IMPRESSED...I will never use Uhaul again

The store we were picking it up from was closed at the time we arrived (7:25am), it was supposed to be open by 6:30am. I proceeded to try to complete the order via the app, which continuously crashed so I ended up phoning into customer service (the rep I spoke with was lovely, although unable to resolve the problem). While I was on the phone, the owner of the store drove up and said "Oh are you here for the Uhaul? I forgot the keys I'll be back" and proceeded to drive away, returning ~10 minutes later. We were handed the keys and she didn't do a walk around so we took our own photos. The car was absolutely filthy, inside the cab and in the back. We had to sweep it out before using it and there was sticky coffee all over the front seat/cup holders. We didn't end up leaving there until 8:05am even though we were the only customer there. Then when we went to drop off the truck, they tried to recharge our credit card $69 and when we pointed out we already paid $75, they had to phone into Uhaul to confirm and ended up refunding us $6 but if we didn't say anything they would have charged us double the amount. Overall I would never return to that location, they were completely unprofessional and not representative of the great customer experience I've experienced at other Uhaul locations.

While this location in Fergus was good the reason for being there is that the original reservation was completely and utterly disregarded, not in my name but a friend who had reserved a cube van. First she reserved it in Elora, ON on Nov 14/18, more than 2 weeks ahead of her moving date. Next she was told that she wasn't going to be able to get it there that she had to go to Victoria Rd in Guelph, ON to get it there. Everything was confirmed but not for the morning of Dec1/18 as she had hoped nor the location but @ 12:30pm . Twenty minutes before she was to pick ir up she was informed that there would be no pick up as they did not have a truck, not a smaller one nor larger. She had set up the move so there were enough guys to move a piano valued @ $6000. It was mentioned that Fergus had a truck for a limited time but I thought I would try the Speedvale location first. I was told they had one that needed to be back by 4:30pm, not perfect but we could at least move the big items. I raced over there and I was told whomever had told me that on the phone made a mistake, no trucks available, a waste of precious time. That is when I called Fergus, and the guy told me that he had one but it had to be back for the next reservation @ 4:00 pm. I raced up to Fergus, a 20 min trip, to get it wondering if I would have enough time but knowing we had to at least get the large items done in the small frame of time including getting a piano up 3 flights of stairs. The receipt says I booked it out @ 1:44pm and I was back in Fergus by 4:00pm but remembered I had to fill back the gas so 4:10pm when I checked in, and luckily the people hadn't arrived yet to pick it up for the next reservation. What transpired in the time we had to move (2hrs16min - 40min travel = 1hr36min) was we loaded as much large items as we could get in while estimating how much time we had get it in to the new place. We did get the piano in but unfortunately due to urgency of the situation we damaged the front leg. I also pulled a muscle in my upper chest/ shoulder area which is going to take time to heal and hurts when I move too fast or even cough. What I would like to know is where is the corporate customer relations when there is a total failure on U-Haul's end to provide the requirement that a reservation is supposed to provide? There has been no apology, but even that is not very helpful when a move has been scheduled and people arranged to help. U-Haul should have arranged a rental from another company if they could not fullfil the reservation. My friend was told that the problem was the fact that the truck was not returned from the previous contact. What is the point in making a reservation if there is no guarantee it will be available and there is no concern from headquarters to even offer any compensation or an apology? What did happen to the previous reservation? They were probably were billed for another day and that is it, no penalty for disregarding the need for others to use it a

I booked the truck for 6:30 and didn't get the truck until 8:38pm. This delay caused me to move the next day as I already had to go out of the way to get an available truck. It was a horrible and frustrating experience.

I had originally reserved several weeks in advance a location in Kitchener, but at the last minute got told to go to Fergus. I had also reserved 2 trolleys but once I got there I was told that there were none available. I thought the equipment rental process was very mis-managed.

U-Haul sign outside of store wasnt easily visible while driving by on the road. It could have been put in a more easily seen/noticeable location for users not familiar with the drop off location area.

The problem that I had with this location was the variety store aspect. Constant interrupts lead to misunderstanding in my contract. I wasn't fully explained of different options that went with milage. We were not escorted to the vehicle; we were given the keys and told that it was one of 3 vans that were sitting there. The back of the van had dirt and straw in it (I swept it out) and the seating had receipts, food wrappings and chips on the floor (my daughter cleaned up). Aside from the service the vehicle served its purpose and the pick-up and drop-off location was handy.

We booked this for a Guelph move. Day before we get a call, last minute, saying the pick up will be in some other town, Fergus which ended up being 40 minutes out of our way on a move day. Not to mention the 20 foot truck had barely a quarter tank and the sound and light for low fuel came on almost immediately. This is absolutely unacceptable and no way to run a UHaul business.

The trailer we reserved was not at the first location. We were told the call centre doesnt really know if the equipment will be at the location you select. When we asked how to ensure we get what we reserve next time, we were told there's no guarantee. Three hours later we were finally set with a cube truck. We've had a problem every single time we've reserved equipment. Unfortunately there aren't many rental companies to choose from. Very unhappy customer!

Truck was messy and had to clean it out. No mention of the 25 cost waived or reimbursed...I left it clean. Was told that the larger truck had no distance on it...and now being charged for going over milage and being charge 40 rental charge.

Lady working the counter didn't know how to unhook the trailer so she asked me to do it. I had to drive the truck around the back of the building, and then when I got back into the store, she asked me to go get the odometer reading.

Shree Vera was amazing as always! I have used this location before and was so satisfied, I knew I would only go back to him when I needed it this time. The organization was fast, convenient and easy to use. Shree was so friendly and professional. He is knowledgeable and kind. His store is clean and very well stocked. His U Haul business is very well organized and professional. I am very pleased. Even though I have moved out of town I will always go to him. I will recommend him highly to anyone who needs a UHaul. Your website is confusing. When I reserved my cargo van online the price quoted was $19.95 plus $0.49 per kilometer. The invoice I received upon returning the vehicle showed $89.00 per day, including 150 kilometers, and $0.20 per additional kilometer. Why such a great discrepancy between your website and reality?

Uhaul was very very dirty when picked up. Wrappers in front seat, mud all over. Back of truck were old used (not folded but in garbage bags) blankets (and not Uhaul blankets, just blankets). Parts of an old dresser and dirt all over the back of the truck as well. No inspection was made with myself prior to taking the truck and no inspection was made after I dropped the truck off. Very very very poor customer service at the counter.
