I hired movers to help me move when I booked online through the U-Haul website but no movers showed up on moving day. I had to have my 65 year old mother and her friend help me move my couch and other heavy furniture. Plus my pickup location was moved by 12kms so I had to pay extra for the truck rental. Congratulations, I hate U-Haul now and will be telling h everyone I know about my experience.

On our way back, the AC did not work in the city. It was a very hot day and we had to drive to the 401 from downtown Toronto with windows down. And then down the 401 with the windows down for 20 plus minutes until it started working. So we spent an hour or more in extreme heat.

Van dash said RR TIRE PRESSURE LOW. Attendant said this was a glitch and to ignore it. This is a safety hazard and made me question whether the tires were properly inflated for a long drive on the 401 and Gardner, there and back. Please fix asap for next person. You should not rent equipment that has “glitches” in safety warnings. Also, attendant told me to check gas level and return with same level. It would be ridiculous to have to guess how much gas is enough gas to fill tank at the same level. I was happy to find the tank full, thus easier to return “full”. Otherwise, van was clean and worked as it should. In regards to recommending to a friend, the process was okay but I would warn a friend to watch for “glitches”

Have proper boarding that is easy to navigate the store. Have proper person in charge that have knowledge about the bookings. U- haul is operated under convenience store so person coming to pick up the truck have to wait as the associate is helping convenience store customers.

Don't rent the guaranteed truck that was booked 3 weeks in advance the morning of scheduled pick up. If I could this situation/location a zero definitely would. Never again.

Debit/ Credit machine was sketchy. Didn't trust that I wasn't getting scammed. Guy at the counter took 5 minutes to come to the front of the store. Overall just really weird vibes.

This was, without question, the worst U-Haul rental experience I have ever had. After completing the check-in process, I asked the employee if he could assist me with attaching the trailer to my truck. Instead of offering any help, he immediately told me that I needed to install it myself. I didn’t argue. I went outside and genuinely tried. After struggling for quite some time, I still could not get the trailer properly secured. I returned to the office and politely explained that I had never installed this type of trailer before. I also told him that every other U-Haul location I had rented from had either installed the trailer for me or at least shown me how to do it safely. I wasn’t asking him to do all the work—I was simply asking for basic guidance. His attitude was dismissive from beginning to end. He first claimed that he was “too busy” to help, even though there were no customers waiting and he appeared to have nothing else requiring his attention. He then told me that he didn’t even know how to install the trailer himself. That response was unbelievable. If an employee working at a U-Haul location cannot—or will not—demonstrate how to safely attach the very equipment the company rents to customers, that raises serious concerns about professionalism, training, and customer safety. After being left completely on my own, I eventually discovered that the coupler adjustment bolt had been tightened so excessively that it required significant force to loosen before the trailer could be attached correctly. Had the employee spent even one minute providing basic instruction or assistance, this entire frustrating situation could have been avoided. Towing equipment is not a minor purchase or a simple retail transaction. Improper installation can result in serious property damage, injury, or even loss of life. Refusing to provide even minimal guidance while renting safety-critical equipment is irresponsible and falls well below the level of service customers should expect from U-Haul. I left this location feeling frustrated, disappointed, and honestly concerned for future customers who may have even less towing experience than I do. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location, and I will also be reporting this incident to U-Haul corporate for review.

Dolly was very dirty which wouldn't normally be an issue but due to the dirt and grime caught in the the ratchet straps it was very difficult to tighten.

Inspection of the vehicle and tow trailer was not completed .The tow trailer had a flat tire and the second tire the belt was shifted . Tech came out to repair one tire but ended up changing two tires. The truck only had a 1/4 tank of gas. aAttendant was useless only knew how to take my money. Unable to assist with hook up in such a small lot with heavy traffic. Would NOT recommend this location to anyone.

It was an amazing experience. U-Haul is the best ever I would recommend this to anyone that wants to move or use it for short or long periods of time In town or even out of town they even picked it up from us when we were done.

Tires on vehicle were a little low on air and it was parked in a pile of snow. Husband had a hard time getting the van out of the snow. Vehicles need to be moved and the snow removed so it’s easier to get in and out.

The staff was too lazy to shovel the snow away,,,,took 12 "back and forths" to get the vehicle out. There were more bongs and crack pipes than chocolate bars for sale at this variety store - huge turn off.

Inside of vehicle was disgusting. Added interior photos on app. Food, hair, dirt. Truck was covered under 6 inches of snow upon pick up, truck has no snow brush inside. Been renting from uhaul for 20 years, and worst rental to date.

First of all I would like a call back from U-Haul customer service about this because I had a really rough time and first of all when I picked the truck the truck was not clean and there was a lot of tissues a lot of leftover food and there's even a new one opened thin food of chicken spread and the bay at the back was clean but the front was so nasty and I also have pictures to document that and secondly there was a tire issue when I picked the top truck and every time I feel it up there keeps leaking and I had to Skid in the snow and drive in really bad conditions with this issue and it totally ruined the purpose of me picking the truck up and later I had to use my tire glue to Seal the tire valve is something that I didn't have to do and also to clean the truck before I drive if something we just totally unacceptable so this Variety Store must make sure the truck is clean before they dispatch at the customers

This was the worst experience I have ever had. If I could give zero stars I would. Arrived at this location at 8:30am to pick up my scheduled truck. There were already 4 other people waiting there since 8am to pick up their trucks. The computer system was apparently down and we had to register/sign in for our pick ups on our cell phones. Our trucks were not prepared with the other items that we had ordered (moving blankets, etc). I had to take my own pictures of the truck for the sign-out process - it was was below minus zero and my hands were freezing at that point. My truck had a quarter tank of gas in it and I had a fair bit of driving to make it to my location. Had to stop on the way to my move-out home to get gas. I finally left the uhaul store about 45 minutes after I had arrived, which delayed my move. The other family was well over an hour late to leave the store with their truck. When I arrived back at the store to drop off the truck, the computer system was apparently still down and the store clerk wrote down my contact and credit card information on a pad of paper (with several other people's info) to process my payment. I received a receipt via email. I will NEVER recommend this location to anyone to rent a vehicle from and will never use this location again for any future rentals.

The trailer was vetoed in the snow and the lights did not work. We had to fix it ourselves and only got one side working

I know we had a snow storm when I pick the truck up but it was not cleaned off. I had to go ask for a snow brush as there was not one in the truck and the store attendant had to give me her personal snow brush from her car. I had to to go clean off 3 feet of snow myself

The back of the truck was not swept out from previous renter, no moving blankets inside and the interior should have been wiped by last renter. The gentleman that took care of our rental was fantastic!!

Truck was old, rusted, and a bit beat up. Service was fine but attendant needed to split his time between serving me and customers who were making convenience-store purchases. That slowed down the process for me.

Make sure the requested items are with the truck as per the order and quote. I ordered 2 dolly's and there were none.

I stood and waited as they left me to attend to variety store customers. Hard for me as I am handicapped.. They then advised me that is it my job to go out and hook to the trailer and then bring it around to the front door for them to come out and make sure that I had hooked it correctly.. not the type of service that I am used to with UHaul. The only advantage to this location was that is was close to me. I think that next time I would drive to Guelph

The Mileage was a surprise, not sure why I missed this in the booking. My route was so short it barely made a difference, but could have been a huge expense if I was going farther. Also, the dolly I ordered was unavailable. Otherwise a good experience.

I ordered a dolly with my truck. The website said the location had one when I made the reservation. When I picked up the truck, the site said they didn’t have one. They blamed it on the website and recommended I drive to the next location to pick it up. After I dropped off the dolly at the 2nd location and returned the truck, I had to pay an extra $75 for the additional mileage. The site told me to complain to your head office. Very poor customer service and lack of understanding. I won’t go back again.
