It was roaches in one U-Haul and I told he guy about it and he was rude the whole time. I ended up paying 210 for one day feels like I was over paying he said he’ll give me an extra day if I gave him a good review but still paid for it. He threw all the covers out in the parking lot when I said I didn’t need them. I will never rent U-Haul again

When I got the truck, after opening it, it was full of roaches and had a terrible stench. Truck was not cleaned or swept and the location did not check the truck for the bugs

JIMMY SBrakes on 6x12 open trailer failed enroute to my pick up. Perhaps U-Haul needs to do a better job at maintaining their equipment. Mr. Renfroe was sympathetic & Joyce out of Phoenix was very helpful. I think U-Haul should offer some compensation for the inconvenience. For example, a U-Haul gift card redeemable at customer’s next rental. That small measure would bring solace.

KAREN AHad no Dolly's or moving equipment for me to use even though I had requested them. Truck needed fluids. Truck was set for rental at 10 am...I get a call at 8 saying I needed to come now or later in the afternoon because they had personal things to do even though everything was scheduled already. Owner even told me I better not give him a bad review because of everything. Absolutely worst experience I've ever had....and definitely don't recommend....

CARL BTruck dirty especially in the cab. Someone put a piece of candy on the dashboard & it had melted all over the passenger side dash. Food crumbs covered the entire floor, seats & dash. The back of U-Haul was filthy & had not been swept nor blown out. I reported this to my pickup place but was told they couldn’t do anything about it! We spent at least an hour plus cleaning the truck. Also told gas not quite full but to fill it up to max when I turned it in. I thought it was supposed to be full before pickup! I turned this truck in with a full gas tank, on time & spotless. No excuse for getting a truck in this condition I

JACKOLYN WI reserved a 20 ft. truck through the U-Haul site. I chose this pick-up location for its proximity as well as for the fact that it would be open on a Saturday during business hours (as listed on the U-Haul site) when we picked up the truck just in case there was any issue. I also reserved furniture blankets and a dolly as we were moving heavy furniture. Unfortunately, when we picked up the truck, the business was closed and no one was around and the WiFi signal was not good. After several attempts with getting booted out of the U-Haul app, ended up having to call the number scrawled on the door. Thankfully, the owner answered immediately and helped us finish checking out over the phone. Additionally, over the phone, the owner noted that he had no blankets or dollies available. Not a great time to find this out. We needed those and it made moving furniture more difficult. We also had not known that we needed to provide our own lock for the truck. Owner would not let us use the one on the truck, had to leave that one there. And as the business was not open, had none to buy. Finally, and his was not the owner's fault but rather regional U-Haul's issue, I specifically rented a 20-ft truck so that it would be big enough for our move but not too large to be hard to drive and park. When regional U-Haul confirmed my reservation by phone a day before we were to pick up the truck, they noted perkily that there were no 20-foot trucks in the area, but had upgraded us to a 26-foot truck. I hesitantly asked if driving a 26-ft truck would be tricky and the lady assured me that it wouldn't and she had driven one ("for a few minutes") and had no problems. I really had no choice as we needed a truck. Of course, the 26-foot was trickier than a 20-foot one would have been. Driving it was okay, but parking it and backing it up and getting it down a driveway and making kind of tight turns was very hard. Not too mention that it really was too big for our purposes. Additionally, returning that 26-foot truck proved challenging as it turned out that the drop-off location i had originally selected was unable to accept trucks that large! I would never had known this had I not been forced to call u-haul to extend our rental by one day (as the app was not letting me request or automatically extend). There was absolutely no indication or notice on the app under my reservation that my chosen return site would have been unable to take a 26-foot truck. Upon extending the reservation, the U-haul rep on the phone kindly looked through many different options to find a site that could accept such a large truck. And then she booked me into that site instead. Really, what a mess from start to finish.

WAYNE WHad to clean hay out of cab and back of truck which had not been adequately cleaned out prior to me picking up. Cargo area was tracked with mud and remnants of hay.
Michael EDrop off location was great. It’s the pick up location that made all the errors on the contract which I was not emailed a copy of until after I made the complaint about all the extra charges.
Dana MI needed to extend my rental for several days beyond what I initially planned and the manager was very accommodating and courteous. The vehicle was spotless and comfortable.

Chris OThe unit I rented had trash in the middle trays, had mud entering in the drivers door, had DOG HAIR ALL OVER THE UNIT from past rental! Really a total mess when you consider I rented the unit for two days! I know some people do not care how they leave their personal car but U-haul needs a "check and balance" and have a quick peek at their rentals before they give it out to the next person.
