Always accommodating and efficient. Never a wait, and the owner is very friendly. This is my "go to" place if I ever need to rent a truck or a trailer, and they are starting to fill propane tanks!!!

JASON LI use Richter Self Storage for all of my moving and storage needs for my small business. They are fast and very convenient even after hours with their convenient lock box where everything can be done online. Other Uhaul Rental places take way too long and can be a hassle.

SCOTT FI had a very difficult time with the arrival/check-in process, and multiple other small things caused me more frustration than I thought this reservation was worth. 1. I followed all the instructions for turning on my location services, and it took at least 10–15 minutes before it recognized my location. I thought it might’ve been an issue with the web browser, so I downloaded the app but still had the same problems until it suddenly was working. 2. Taking and uploading pictures of the vehicle took much longer than I thought it should. For the first attempt to upload a picture, it buffered for 20–30 seconds before rejecting the attempt. I eventually gave up and only submitted half the requested photos before leaving the site. 3. None of the additional equipment I reserved came with the vehicle. This was an after-hours reservation, so we then had to take extra time—of which we had none to spare—to return to our home and scrounge up any equipment we had that might work. I asked for a half-dozen furniture pads and a dolly, and the truck bed was completely empty. When the return process asked if all the needed equipment was included and I selected “no,” I was still charged for it. 4. The gas tank wasn’t full when we picked up the vehicle, so we had to monitor the gas gauge when refueling in order to bring it back to approximately where it was before. It would be much kinder to keep the tank filled between customers. 5. We hadn’t yet put our snow brush in our personal vehicle this season, so we had to take extra time to retrieve one from a different location and clean off the vehicle. Including a snow brush and ice scraper in each vehicle would be another kindness to customers during the winter months where snow and ice are common. I was already on a tight time schedule, so the issues above caused unnecessary stress. Otherwise, the truck handled well, and we did complete our furniture moving task. James SI have no issues with Richter Self Storage, as I really did not interact with them. I chose to use the mobile option to pickup and deliver my U-Haul and wow what a mistake. This was the absolute worst user experience I have ever had. The app kept crashing on both mine and my wife's phone during both steps. Picking up took almost 20 minutes and I couldn't even complete drop off because the app just kept crashing on my phone. For an organization as large as U-Haul, your IT/Systems department should be embarassed. It's 2024 and you don't even have a basic and reasonable customer user experience. PODs blows you away in teh market by a mile.

Eric NUsed after hours app. When I reached the signature page the box that I needed to check to accept terms would not let me click the check box to continue. Called for support And was on the phone for 2 hr 45 min trying to get someone to help me only to after this much time was hung up on. Called back and asked for a supervisor. She was able to do a work around and I finally was given the box/combination to receive the key to the truck. Aweful experience.
Robert LThe engine on the 26' truck that I rented misfired constantly and has struggles getting to 55 MPH. I drove it 90 miles and put in 16.8 gallons for a 5.36 MPG rating. I'd estiamte that truck should get 8-10 MPG, so I spent 32% to 46% more in fuel than if I had driven a well maintained vehicle. I drive like an old man who is very conscious of what it takes to get good mileage. I reported this to the location rep and he said he would see if he could discount the mileage. It didn't happen. I do thank this location for upgrading me from a 20' to 26' last minute. Much appreciated.

Brandon AWhen i got the unit he had pulled the keys out of the lock box which was whatever my issue is the fact that i rented this to move to clean couches to a family member who needed them and had to go and buy tarps becasue of the dirt and to keep it short whoever had it before had a lot of dirt and what seemed like pet hair that was left when i got it. Yes i should have checked but i was stressed and in a rush. Other than that no big issue. Jst expect if i pit in for a truck a month in advance it at the vary least be somewhat clean.

Scott HThey closed early 11/17/23! I and another customer were there before 5pm and no workers were there and doors locked! Plus I had problems picking up truck on 11/16/23. U-Haul corporate changed my pick up location and instead of $185, Josh said $395! The corporate office had changed my pickup location on 11/15 from Wyoming to Granville MI, but they also changed my rental from a round trip to a one way, which caused the price difference! I called the main reservation line (corporate). I had to wait on hold more than 10 minutes then Brandy got it straightened out after another 20 minutes on the phone. Very frustrating!

Stephen WCheck engine light was on. One of the guages on top of the dash didn't work. Back of the truck was dirty and had blankets all over and not folded upon pickup. I needed it before open and was not told which lockbox my keys would be in or the combination for the lockbox ahead if time. I had to call customer service and be transferred to someone to get it. Also, this isn't the locations fault but the app is very slow to load and not very easy to navigate.
