Rented a 26 foot truck and U-haul cancelled it on me and stuck me with a 15ft truck for the day of my house move. Terrible u haul not Robertson service. It cost me more money and time because of u hauls failure to provide me with the truck I reserved. I want a full refund.Frank E.

I reserved the 9ft van online and was contacted shortly thereafter by a very nice representative Alesha who stated that the van was not available for the next three days. She was great in getting us a van quickly for the same day so we could move the larger items we had. She was fantastic in answering my questions and helping me through the Uhaul process since this is something my husband usually does.. The van itself was dirty and hadn't been swept out at all and had dog or cat hair in it. This location (Slingerlands) is convenient in location and that is why we continue to rent there. Every time we rent though the trucks have not been cleaned at all or even swept out. Therefore we bring our own tarps and broom to clean it ourselves prior to putting anything in it. The brakes are barely working and have to be slammed on, and even then the delayed stopping time is unsafe, in my opinion. The windshield needed a deep cleaning, and the windshield wipers need replacing. I wished it had an EZ pass installed. The staff was lovely- no complaints there. Van had mud on the floor and cat hair on the passenger seat, I was charged $25 to have the vehicle cleaned when it was obvious that had not been done prior to my lease. I am appalled that you would lease a vehicle with out cleaning it especially in these times. I also specifically requested a hand truck which was not in the vehicle. When I reported it was missing ( at 6:30 am, pickup), I was told I could wait until 7 am and go pick one up somewhere. I did not have the time to do that. Although the rest of the experience was fine - the truck was in good working condition and performed well, these items tainted the experience.Patricia K.

I dropped off after hours. It was a little out of the way, but easy to find and easy to drop off. There is a gas station next door, if you need to has up before turning in the keys.Carrie W.
I was there at 8PM the location did not open until 9. I was unaware that the only way to get the truck was through the app, though I loaded it I was not able to get the info to get the keys. After more than an hour of asking for help in getting the keys a supervisor finally was able to assist. If you guys are going to do touchless you need to let folks know they will not recieve any help and improve your application so it actually work.Natt D.

Manager had a attitude. told me to check in on-line. Could care less to help me. Took me 45 minutes to return. after all that i saw him in the parking lot no thanks, have a good day, nothing The kids working there had better personality. i don't expect people to stop for me, but a helping hand and 1/2 a Thanks would be nice. The return process was awful. I was on hold for 27 min for uhaul and when i connected, even they werent able to guide me through entering the mileage. Also, there was no lighting by the trucks; it was totally dark between the vehicles. . I fell getting out of the truck bc i couldnt see the guideboard. I bruised my side and wrenched my shoulder trying to catch myself. When I'd spoken to the store, they told me drop off box was on the side of the building. the trailer was not at the location in the confirmation email. even though location had 6 of the trailers I needed they refused to give me one. they refused to apologize, they refused to honor the $50 pickup location guarantee and they acted like it was my fault for not checking the website every 20 mins for changes instead of trusting the confirmation email I had received. completely horrible.Andrew T.

I requested a van in Albany. I was rerouted to slingerlands nearly 10 miles away. I added close to half an hour to the day and at 99 cents a mile added unnecessary miles to my cost. I had no choice in the matter and it will impact my rental choices in the future. At the time of rental, there were several vans available. Bad customer service.Catherine R.

Beware - reserved a 15' Truck 1 week in advance. Arrived and was told that a u-haul Supervisor at a different location bumped the truck down to a 10' truck. No one called or notified me of this. I was stuck with a 10' truck and had to take 2 trips spending More $ on gas.Cheryl S.

Overall, a good experience. Customer service was friendly, professional, and quick. My only problem was that I asked for a 9' cargo van and after receiving the email confirmation I realized they had reserved a 10' truck for me. Changing the reservation online was easy and everything went smoothly from there.jonathan M.
I selected my drop off location. He told me sorry that location is not in computer but it doesn't matter where you drop off. He also had me having truck till 9/2 when I clearly said drop off same day. It was a bit of an issue dropping off as I wasn't in the receiving location system either. The service was excellent. However, the truck locks on both doors were very difficult to unlock; I was worried the key might break. Also, the lock provided for the cargo bay did not work.
