SREENAND VThe locations is always great as Ai have been there a number of times. This is the first time that I used the app to self pick up. Unfortunately it took uhaul about 10 minutes just to approve me which set me back in time and made me late. I had to call Uhaul to get through that stage of the pick up. I have used Uhaul 10 or so timed in the past 8 months. This shouldn't have happened.

FRANCO DI recently rented a U-Haul truck for picking up furniture . The vehicle itself was clean, in good condition, and ready to go at the scheduled time, which I appreciated. However, not all the equipment I had reserved was available when I arrived. This forced me to deviate from my original route and schedule to locate and pick up the missing items at another location. Unfortunately, this detour cost me additional time and money—not just in fuel and inconvenience, but also in extra kilometres driven, which I was charged for. It was a frustrating experience, especially since I had planned ahead and reserved everything in advance to avoid exactly this kind of issue. While I appreciate the quality of the truck itself, the lack of preparedness around the full reservation made the experience more stressful and expensive than it needed to be. I hope U-Haul can improve coordination between locations to ensure all reserved equipment is available as promised.
Marc SI will keep my review short. In this competitive rental business where you use mileage charges to recoupe the actual cost of the rental. The last thing a customer wants is dishonesty. Walked into your establishment looking for a truck I was told you are sold out by the counter staff, called my brother he made a reservation online and I walked back to the same counter to get a truck where I was told 2 mins before there are no trucks. Train counter staff and be ready to take on business in this competitive slow period for most business. Customer service is everything. Get better. I know rating means the world. I won’t give you poor even though it was poor..

VINCENZO MI dropped off the truck on time. Next day i was called and asked if i will be returning the truck I was stunned and they mentioned they couldn’t find the truck. The day after that i was asked to show proof I returned the truck and they advised they will be checking the camera on site. I provided pictures and followed up many times. Only to charged again. My card was hit many times for double or 3x the amount I really owed.

Overall I was unable to pick up the truck at the original time because going through mobile app was a hassle. The shop was opened early and the representative was very kind and helpful.

SINISA MI was promised with a truck through a phone call. And then I wanted to make double sure because to have a moving truck that day was so important to me, I visited two days before to the location and confirmed with the person there. But on that day which was a holiday, no one was at the office. I tried online check to pick up the key from lock box but there was an error. I called the number the person gave two days ago, which was head office the lady said there is no key available in the key boxes. She told me to go to Brampton or East end of Scarborough to pick up a truck I booked. I called again to Brampton location and they said they have truck which was 30min more than 40km away. They said they will charge less per km. I prayed and after the person I talked two days ago drove into parking lot. I turned off my car and ran to his office and told him the ordeal I went through. He said U-Haul computer system failed and gave my truck to someone else. That's it. It was a horrible experience. Because he showed up miraculously and gave me the truck ,I gave below average review. Otherwise... this could have been one of the worst experience I ever had in my life. I have used UHaul several times and I usually liked the service but... I will recommend renting a truck on a non-holiday time. Thank God who answered my prayer. We were able to finishing the moving that night.

Stewart HTruck needs to be cleaned better between rentals - check the condition of the cupholder on this truck as an example. The cabin smelled of smoke / weed? When truck accelerated seemed to be struggling and not shifting properly. Using online rental is fine prior to rental but when at the counter entire rest of the process should be handled by an employee. The person at the counter for this rental was most helpful in this regard and I would not have been able to complete the rental process without him as my phone was not working to do so.

Thakur SI experienced an issue with the ignition of a 26' truck when I stopped at a gas station on the way back to the drop-off location. I’ve been waiting for over an hour for U-Haul Roadside Assistance to arrive and boost the battery. In my opinion, the truck should be properly checked and maintained before being rented to customers, as issues like this can severely impact moving plans and arrangements.

Feilong ZI made my reservation on Saturday, November 2 for a 15' truck through the U-Haul 24/7 truckshare program. I deliberately selected my pick-up location at 2300 John St, Unit 5, in Thornhill, Ontario, as this was only 1.5 kms from my house and less than 2 kms from the place where I was going to pick up the cargo. This was done deliberately to minimize fuel consumption both my for my own vehicle getting to the U-Haul location, as well as fuel consumption and mileage for the U-Haul truck. I have rented trucks through the Truckshare program before and they have always been successful. On Sunday, November 3, I received a call from a U-Haul representative advising me there were no trucks available at my location and I was told the closest possible location was at 100 Steeles Avenue West in Vaughan. This is about 10 kms from my residence, and in the OPPOSITE direction of where I needed to go to pick up and drop off my cargo. While this was far from ideal, I tried to be reasonable about this and agreed to the change and asked the U-Haul representative to check and confirm that I can still use the mobile check-in at the new location, since I needed the truck at 7:30am and was on a time limit. The representative confirmed that I could do the mobile check in. When I arrived at the new location at 100 Steeles Avenue West in Vaughan at 7:25am, my app said I had to call U-Haul. I spoke with a new representative who advised me that mobile check in was not possible at this location, despite what the previous representative had confirmed, and that I would have to wait until 9:00 am to check in. This was not acceptable as I was on a tight timeline and getting the truck after 8:30am would have meant significant traffic delays. The representative then re-routed me yet to a THIRD pick up location, at 8635 Keele Street, Unit 1 in Concord. This location was ANOTHER 10 kms away, bringing my total driving from my residence to 20 kms, just to pick up the truck, that was supposed to originally be a 3 minute ride away from me. By the time I arrived at the third pick up location and was able to retrieve the truck, it was already 8:30am. That meant I was late to picking up my cargo and set the remainder of my day to be significantly delayed, due to very significant traffic (which i was planning to avoid by picking up my truck at 7:30am promptly and at a spot that would have minimized the amount of driving in the truck) Not only was I delayed and had to reschedule several parts of my day because of this, but I had to drive about 20 km each way (40km total) in my own vehicle to get to the truck, instead of the original 1.5kms planned, AS WELL AS, driving that same distance in the truck back to the spot where I picked up my cargo, when I had originally deliberately selected a truck pick up location as close as possible to the cargo pick up spot, so I wouldn't have to drive far.
