This location was chosen by us as it is listed as a 24 hour drop off location. When we arrived yesterday (Saturday) afternoon we found the gate was locked and another uhaul truck parked in the short driveway at the gate from another reservation. We found that the location does not open again until Monday at 9- our reservation ends Sunday at 7. This was a huge inconvenience.Jonathan M.

Facility was closed at 2:00PM on a Saturday, gate locked, absolutely no place to park vehicle safely on the local, narrow road the facility is located on. Tried calling the facility phone number, voice mailbox full. Facility difficult to get to especially trying to navigate the 26' truck I was dropping off. Choose a different location.THEODORE H.
Staff was helpful but location was closed on the day of drop-off. The truck needed to be parked on the side of the road because the lot is closed when the shop is not open. Directions given to location wound all through a residential neighborhood only to be told to drive all around the other half of the neighborhood to turn around and Park on the other side of town at the school. Place was closed, gate was pad locked with a sign do not block gate. Using the web to do a self return was a joke. I finally called the 800 number to assist with the return. Gate was locked and no one was there 15 min. prior to scheduled pick up time. Tried to call and no answer and voice mail full. I got a call at 10:00 that they were there, but had to wait for someone to bring key to open gate. They didn't have the moving pads as ordered. Gave us 4 dirty ones, not the dozen that were ordered and did not correct the order in the system. It took over an hour from scheduled pick up time to actually leave with the truck.Deborah R.

The owner Ryan arrived at 915am to open his shop, which was 15 mins after our scheduled reservation pickup time. He overslept. The interior of the F150 pickup truck was filthy and disgusting. The exterior and bed were also dirty. It hadn't been cleaned after the last renter returned it the day before. Ryan didn't have a shop vacuum, and there were crumbs and food on the seat. The interior and windows were grimy and dusty. I told Ryan that I would have to clean and vacuum the truck, to which he just shrugged. I took the vehicle to a car wash and vacuumed the interior. I then had to take it back home to clean all interior surfaces and then disinfect with Lysol. This delayed our use of the vehicle by more than 1 hr, cost me mileage and $1.25 for the vacuum. When I returned the truck at 6pm, Ryan's sister, who is "in charge" of the rentals, confirmed they don't vacuum vehicles. She then told me the F150 pickup truck had recently been stolen for 2 weeks by a customer, and she was "waiting for U-Haul to send someone to detail the vehicle". She acknowledged it was dirty, and said their COVID-19 disinfecting process involves "spraying Lysol" over the dirty interior surfaces. We're shocked to learn that during a Pandemic, a U-Haul neighborhood dealer is renting a filthy vehicle that had "been stolen" , is not cleaning and properly disinfecting vehicle interiors or windows, and doesn't own a vacuum.Kris V.

The location allowed pick up via mobile per the web site. I was called and told that the truck wouldn't be available until, 0900 that next morning. Ok, no sweat. When we arrived at 0900 the location was still closed. It opened at 0910. Following this, there was a near 1.5 hour wait to get the vehicle, which had water in the back of it. Furniture pads were on the floor and wet. Due to this, the help I had hired, I had to pay them both another 1.5 hours, totaling more that $150 on my end, and had to reschedule the help on the other end which cost $125. Ryno the owner did do all he could however was assisting several other customers at once. The lady who was supposed to be helping him was late and the root cause of the whole debacle.Garret M.

They could Open on time. They could Have a staff member present who can do the rentals (3 staff present, but the ONLY person who could help me had â€œgone to the grocery storeâ€). Upon her return, there was no â€œthank you for waitingâ€ no â€œI'll be right with youâ€, nothing. Then when I told her that I had been there at 8:30, the posted opening time, she said she had sent me a text about that. Then I said I did not receive a text, and she looked at her phone and said that she had sent it to a wrong phone number. Still no apology, no nothing! Then when I checked it back in she didn't look inside the trailer at all. She rented it later that same day and had never looked inside it. I know this because I left some bungee cords and blankets inside and when I called back about picking them up she said the trailer was on a one way to Wilmington and she said that she used to look inside the trailers and trucks, but she didn't do that anymore. If that dealer was any less open for business, they would be totally out of business. I've never experienced such and I've rented from u-haul many time over the last 40 years. I'll rent from you again, but NEVER at that location! And, that has nothing to do with the loss of bungees and blankets, that was already a fact before I even returned the trailer.Danny S.

The salesperson was not specific on where to drop off the U-Haul the next morning. She stated to drop it off anywhere in our area, to look up the nearest U-Haul location and drop it there. Received a phone call later that evening that stated a specific location that it needed to be dropped off at. The issue is that the location was NOT clear on the voicemail and all we got was "garage" something. Had to assume the location we dropped off at was the correct one. Before dropping it off at the "garage" we had already looked up another location that accepted U-Haul and instructions were to close the gate after parking, there was not a gate at this location to close (looked old and deserted) so went on a hunt to find something with the name of "garage" in it in our area to finally drop off the U-haul.mark Y.
The driver side windshield wiper had not been checked and was useless. We had to stop for the night that was not planned due to rain and no place to replace wiper blade. Hotel cost $150.00. Very upset over this cost and delay.Sharon B.
Was asked to pick it up day early because they didn't want to come in on a Saturday. Then had to wait for a long time once we got there to get the truck. Got it home and started to load it the next morning and it didn't have the hand truck or furniture pads I ordered. Then the lady from the rental place called me and said I had been given the wrong truck and when asked about the hand truck and furniture pads she said they hadn't came in yet.... but didn't offer to get me a replacement... And then said she'd refund the cost of the rental equipment I didn't get but that it would take 3-5 days. Was very disappointed and won't use Uhaul again.Stephanie W.

There was no one in the office, had to go find someone. The staff was friendly, just slightly unavailable. While it is a mechanics shop, it was fairly junky overall. The drive leading to parking area for truck required a 4 wheel drive as it had huge ruts and dips in it. This area was pretty junky as well.Lisa M.

He could not give me directions to the Rynos location, I had to find it myself because no one answered the phone when I called. I got the truck late, it smelled badly and was very used. We have used U-Haul many times without incident. Our original reservation in Maggie Valley N.C. was canceled by U-Haul at 4AM the morning of our pick up. We were NOT notified! We arrived to pick up the trailer. They did not have one available nor were any available in the immediate area. We had scheduled moving help to arrive within the hour. After what seemed like hours on "hold", corporate U-Haul did find a trailer in a nearby town. This U-Haul dealer worked hard to help our situation. Needless to say, we were stressed by this inconsiderate action by the U-Haul scheduling system. Of course the local dealer could not compensate us for our time and stress but I believe U-Haul should apologize to us.Lawrence A.

I scheduled to pick up in Waynesville but had to go to Canton to get the trailer ( 25 min one direction out of the way). When I got there the person that did Uhaul rental was not there. The guy in the shop tried to help me. I hooked up to the trailer and walked around it checking the tires. One was flat. I took it to the office and they started working on it. I went in to do the paper work and I asked if I had trouble who do I call. He said there is a phone number in the contract but he didnt know where it was. He gave me his business card and said to call if I had trouble. When I came out from doing the paper work they were finishing up with the tire. I made it about 25 miles and that tire blew out.Nathan C.
