The check in and out process was horrible. Mainly because we didn't get strong enough phone service where we had to pick the truck up. When my husband called the storage place to ask for help and clarification, the gentleman who answered was rude and hung up on him. When he called during the return (which took about an hour) the representative told us if we did not return the truck online there would be a $20 convenience fee. I understand that's policy, but we can't control if we have internet service or not. We had 2 crying babies in the car with us after a long stressful day of moving and shouldn't have had to go through so much just to return the truck.Jose N.
The online app is good but the service in the area is not good for AT&T so it kept saying no connection tap to reload and a process that usually would take 3 min. Actually took 45 waiting for bars on my phone. If they had a hotspot you could use or WiFi from the building that would be amazingLindsay T.

This location had minimal items associated with a move to purchase or rent, the truck was in need of a cleaning inside the cab and box. The windshield wiper blades were torn and needed to be replaced.William I.

Complaint about the truck, the windshield needed cleaning, I had to clean 1/2 of it as best I could on the road with what I could find. There was no windshield washer fluid and both wipers are in need of replacing. I didn't find out until it started to rain. Also the original pick up location was suppose to be in Lapeer Mi when I sent in the reservation, BUT it was changed the next day. The equipment should have been where it was reserved from. At least the company gave me extra mileage to compensate when I asked.John W.

U haul system was down and it took forever. Lady was very nice and opened early for me. When I got to San Antonio I found out that my contract and the trailer Vin did not match. They only had one 4Ã—8 trailer so I'm not sure how that happened. The guy in Texas fixed it all for me. The lady in Michigan was super nice and she appologixed for the wait.CARRIE M.

There was nothing wrong with the trailer. The business was scheduled to open at 10am. Two days before my scheduled pick up date, I changed my pick up time from noon to 10am. We arrived early, at 1005am I called to see when someone was going to open the doors. She said there were no scheduled pick ups that day. I told her I had an appointment. She said she was 10 minutes away. 45 minutes later she finally arrived. Then proceeded to wait on someone else before me. If youre scheduled to open at 10am, you should be there at that time. I also never received any paperwork for the rental except for my paid receipt. I will never go to rent from this business again. Worst service ever.Gina I.

When I rented this it was originally for 1 day. I called the next day to extend it for a day, they(father) called back because they never answer their phone and said that was fine. Then called and said it wasn't fine(father) and they needed it back that night after I had left for work already. I called them(daughter) back to discuss it and said I would try to go above and beyond the to make sure it was back, she said no I'm already on the phone taking care of it to bring it back when I needed to. When I dropped it off the father yelled at me telling me I really screwed him by not bringing it back, said he had to drive all the way to caro to pick up another truck for a different customer, even after I told him I talked to his daughter and she said it was fine. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH UHAUL AGAIN, I am not a child and do not do business with people who treat me as such! This is the second time I have had a bad experience with this rental location.CHRIS F.
Front tire was out of balance and shook the truck terribly. Not only was this uncomfortable to ride in but it affected our load of furniture and caused some damage. It rained and the roof leaked on our load. The inside of the truck cup holders were caked with previous drinks and snacks and this caused a very unpleasant odor. Passenger seatbelt would tighten (a ratchet effect) with the bumps and the shaking from the front tire to the point a person could not breathe. The only way to loosen the belt was to disconnect it and start over. This had to be done every several miles of a 1200 mile trip. The gas mileage was not anywhere close to the10mpg as advertised( the wheel alignment may have been the cause). We paid more for U-haul over your competitors because we thought the quality would be worth it. With the poor experience we had we would not use U-haul again for half the price.RAYMOND D.

proper tread on the tires. Lights that work. The costumer should not be having to repair lights when they did not work from pick up. Law states a trailer tire must have 2/23 tread depth. One tire was a slick. During winter to top it off. Was issued the wrong dolley.Michael A.

The man from Safe & Secure was wonderful; I wish the entrance was better marked. However, I was not please that UHaul changed my reservation at the last minute without some much as an email; the location got switched from less than 1 mile from my house to 20 miles away and from a 10' truck to a 20' truck. Thankfully, I was able to change the truck size back.LESLIE T.

We utilized the online service to set up our reservation. Even though we had a confirmation in hand for a 20' truck, the location only had a 14' one. My husband and I were extremely upset and didn't want to drive farther to pick up at another location. Safe and a secure storage was great and the owner was awesome, however I would never utilize the online U-Haul site or U-Haul again.BRETT C.
