Troy JOverall my experience was excellent with the U-Haul boxes! From the start of Redmond Oregon to the delivery to Gearhart Oregon! The boxes arrived on the designated date and undamaged! The customer service was excellent at these locations and I would not hesitate to use U-Haul again!

CRAIG DFirst of all, just to let you know the equipment was old, dilapidated, frayed straps, holes punched into the fenders, etc. where I rented the trailer dolly I told him beforehand that I needed their assistance and if they would load my car for me. Well, they did that, but as it turns out one strap was so loose that within 150 miles that strap slid off the wheel and with the relatively smooth road, the strap worked its way under the wheel. The other strap was loose, but at least stayed on the wheel. This was all unbeknownst to me until I got to my first stop at 150 miles and noticed the strap that had fallen off and gone under the wheel. We called your support line and they said they would send somebody out. They would take anywhere from 15 minutes to 90 minutes and would charge me $300. Where did that come from? They also said they did not work with the local store and worked through subcontractors. so we told them to forget it and we went over to the local store which was U-Haul Klamath Falls and they were the greatest people they were courteous they were quick they fix the problem tightened all the straps just to make sure and I was good to go if you wanna rate Klamath Falls I would give them 10 stars out of five. If you wanna rate sage equipment, I would pull their franchise the people that helped me load the car and the trailer and then they installed the straps, I believe at least one of them was in his first or second week of training and didn’t know anything. He had the other person showing him what to do on one wheel, which by the way was the wheel with the strap came off while the other person did the other wheel. But in the end, the other wheel needed about 2 to 3 cranks to tighten it down that did not happen until Klamath Falls. That’s why you would not get a recommendation for me. To summarize, one where was the fine print on the $300 charge to help me with something that was not my fault, two inexperienced help when it came to strapping down the car.

DEREK BBest pick up ever for us. We have used several trailers over the years and this pick up was the best. The trailer was pulled up to the front on a flat pad and on a floor jack so it could be lowered on to the hitch. No lifting or positioning required. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Best of all they were expecting me. I felt like a neighbor.

MACK MI cannot say enough about how above and beyond Sage went to assist me. I asked for a truck that was too large and they kindly let me downsize to a 20 foot truck...they got me an auto transport with some difficulty, but nevertheless it was there when I needed it. I will use Sage again when I move back to Oregon. Thank you so much.

CAMERON SThis U-Haul rental location saved the day for my son’s move. I had originally set up an appointment to rent from the U-Haul on NW 6th in Redmond which we really like from past rentals. I later got a call or message asking if I could rent from a new U-Haul place on B Avenue in Terrebonne. I was told we’d get $100 off the rental and some extra miles, and I agreed. My son called ahead to insure they were open (due to snow) and that they had to 20ft truck, we needed. We arrived approx. 10:30 or 11 AM and the employee was friendly. He was aware that we were supposed to get a discount and extra miles. We waited for about 45 minutes as the employee seemed to be having ongoing problems in processing the rental. The truck was covered in snow, which my son and I cleared off, as the employee continued to work on the computer for the rental. After about an hour of waiting and ongoing issues, my son and I told the employee we’d go across the street to eat lunch and then we’d return. We returned about 45 minutes later and he still seemed to have issues with the processing. He eventually said it was all ready and that the contract or receipts was sent via email. I asked for a printed copy which he gave me. I looked and saw that it was “discounted” to $475 from $574, however, I had originally been told by the U-Haul on 6th street that my price would be $361. The employee called the off-site manager at least a couple of times seeking guidance, which I appreciated. It sounded like there were “glitches” or software issues when it came to totalling the bill. The bill also showed my name (Joseph) with an address of 400 Wall St. in Meridian. Strangely, I have no idea what that address is and it has never been my address. The bill showed: “Equipment Substitution: ($114.00) , which brought the bill to $475. After about 2 hours of waiting, with no other customers on site, my son and I were running out of moving time and we had coordinated our schedules with others as well, for the move. The employee again called his manager and I told the employee that we’d need to cancel this rental if it couldn’t be resolved within a few minutes and he agreed to cancel the rental. I also saw that I had gotten some emails from U-Haul that had Spanish writing in the subject line, “Su Contractor De alquiler Con U-Haul”. All other U-Haul emails were in English. My son and I then went to the Railroad Ave. U-Haul, but we later decided to rent from Sage Rental, after my son spoke to the woman on the phone…she sounded very helpful. When we arrived she was friendly and she was aware of our prior rental issue. She gave us the invoice which showed higher than $361, but she assured us that her manager would render a discount. She gave us her card and told us to contact her if we did not get the discount. When we first arrived, I also saw that she was washing the truck and getting it ready for us, which we really appreciated. Last that evening, I got an email showing a $114 discount from the manager, Michael Hinckley, which brought our total to $344…a bit less than the original $361. So we did appreciate that. On a side note, my son had worked a night shift the night before and we were all very tired with the waiting, so my son was a bit “grumpy” in voicing his frustration to the original employee. For that I’m sorry. We also appreciated the fact that our rental truck was topped off with fuel, whereas the first place had about half a tank. As a renter, I had having to judge how much gas I need to fill on a long road trip and I usually end up adding more gas than necessary just to be safe in avoiding extra charges. I’d rather just top it off at the end. Thank you, Joe
JOSEPH GReserved a U-Haul in Powell butte and then was moved to Redmond which is a much further away location because the truck I rented left, was then charged the extra mileage, reserved moving blankets which I was charged for but were not in the truck, was charged for two days even though I returned the truck 18 hours early and when I called another location to see if I could drop the truck off closer to Bend because it was a blizzard I was told it would be an additional $500 so I braved the blizzard and got the truck back to Redmond. Didn’t stop to fuel the truck up even though it was only 1/4 tank low and was charged for extra fuel but all the while could not get ahold of anyone at Sage Equipment to explain the circumstances even though I was calling during business hours. I could not be more dissatisfied with my experience and would love reimbursement on any level for what I’ve gone through. Will not be recommending nor using U-Haul again.

Lorraine CThe business we finally rented from in the end at Sage(Katie) and Anna who took my initial order at Ironside storage in Redmond were great! Both went above and beyond when our rental process went awful. The issue- we were moving to a unit at Ironside storage so selected there for pick-up/drop-off. It was changed without our consent. We understood it was because of potential availability issues-fine, but what happened in the end after we got it set to the correct place was another company had gone in and switched it to themselves without our knowledge or your corporate consent. it was ABC construction I believe on first Street in Redmond Oregon. When we showed up 10 to 15 minutes early the office was closed. We called their number and left a voicemail. We waited until a quarter after noon (over 1/2 hour later) and still no one showed up. In addition to that, they never even returned my call!!!. . So ABC construction or whoever they are in Redmond should not be allowed to rent trucks or to go in and arbitrarily move anyone’s rental location to themselves-please revoke their access to do this to anyone else! I called Ironside Storage and Anna resolved it with Mike(corporate)and got us a truck after the whole fiasco! It was a horrible unnecessary waste of time running around and sitting in a running car in the heat- but Anna at Ironside and Katie at Sage were professional and great.
TERESA HHave standardized dimensions for inside of trailers. The inside length was different depending the uhaul resource. The staff at sage (who were awesome and patient with me) had to measure the exact inside dimensions to male sure the " 6' × 12' '" trailer would work

When I put the address on my navigation it directed me to the left of the entrance and I drove behind the building to the address. It was easy to sign in and make the reservation for my morning pickup.
