Maria CI rented an appliance dolly but when I arrived I was told there was no appliance dolly. Which complicated my day greatly as I had to run around searching for one. I also made the reservation at 6am, but they had my pickup scheduled at 6pm. Thankfully i didn’t arrive until after they opened to pickup the van, I would have had some major problems if I got there at 6am and couldn’t pickup the van

RODNEY BOverall experience was wonderful -- would highly recommend! My only and extremely minor complaint is that when I filled up the truck before returning it, it took more gas than I would have expected given that I actually did not drive it very far. I suspect the last customer might not have filled the truck before returning it.

TIMOTHY BThe vehicle, a 15' box truck, was filthy and in poor condition. I had to use a ladder to clean the windows and scrape the dead bugs off. Moreover, the engine blew up (probably threw a rod) some 7-10 miles from the return location on Prado Road. After being stranded on the side of a busy freeway for almost 45 minutes with no return call from the agent, I got a ride to the reurn location to return the keys and describe what happened. Instead what I received was an accusatory conversation with both( Paul ?) and the U-Haul rep on the phone. The opening remark was how I could be liable for "abandoning the vehicle" etc. The conversation ended after I said I would seek a legal remedy and the U-Haul rep said, "now that you have threatened to sue I can't speaak with you..." I walked away at that point. Later I did speak with a U-Haul roadside assistance person who was very polite and professional and we cleared it up. In conclusion it is unlikely I would ever rent from U-Haul again as I prefer Budget Truck Rental. Moreover, SLO Mini Storage should be reviewed for it's lack of professional service and poor maintenance of the vehicles in its fleet.

Murray GGlad to have been able to get a small truck for the bit of time I needed it, that morning, so last minute. First time for all the added do it yourself online check in with the vehicle photos .. which was not fully self explanatory in how to do it ... but eventually got it. Still prefer interactions with a human being person, but it seems the way of the world to automate and do more do it yourself .. I did quickly get a question handled re why a dashboard light was on, from the one fellow working this location. He was never impatient, was responsive, incl on my check in, right there.

John CCab smelled like cigarettes and the tank was less lab 1/4 when I got it.
STAILEE SWindshields are always filthy, and I have to spend 20 minutes cleaning them before it's safe to drive.

JOHN OTo clarify with the customer that when a Truck vs. a Van is requested, the Rep clarify the difference between a Van and a Truck. This happened to me although it wasn’t significant - we adapted and overcame 😊

ELIJAH CI received the truck with just 1/4 tank of gas so I had to stop early in my trip to refuel. I returned it with a 1/2 a tank which was not acknowledged yet I was charged for going 7 miles over the alloted mileage. Not great customer care by U=Haul.
MAUREEN OGreat customer service. I wish the trucks had cruise control however. My ankle was killing me. Maybe it was me, but I could not activate cruise control. Other than that, everything went well.

BARBARA WYour advertising states that I could rent this vehicle for only $19.95 per day. I expected to pay that amount plus minor fees, not more that $40. I ended up paying over twice that. all the fees and unstated charges made the rental very much more than i expeced to pay! I consider this as deceptive advertising and I recomend that this practice stop! I will probably not be renting fropm U-Hauil again!
