Friendly service, very upfront and honest. Was in and out quickly and charged what was estimated (a little less, in fact). If/when I need a pick-up truck again, this will be my first pick!

First the operator was so annoying. Constantly trying to up sell more product and services. I informed them up front we just needed a truck to move a trailer. Though that didn't stop her from trying to sell me more. Really come on and listen to the customer. Once we arrived to the locations to get clear directions on which building to enter, we encountered a very rude person on the other end. Once we got to the correct office, he did apologize. Though between the operator and the office we picked up the vehicle, chance are slim we will use U-haul again unless we are desperate.

Helpful service, easy drop off, the informal manner of U-Haul dealers makes things easy and quick for one way haul.

The location was hard to find. I went to the other end of Prado where the U Hauls are very visible. The agent there told me that address is Elks Lane and he told me it happens about 3 times a day. Maybe add a note that says your location is past Serra Meadows on the right hand side. Everything went well after I got to the right place. Thank you.

I received an email confirmation from one site and a voicemail confirmation from another. I returned the call to the voicemail site to find out which I needed to go to, this was SLO Mini Storage. I was told to go to the other site which was a mile up the road, so upon arrival to San Luis Obispo I went to the Prado/ Elks Ln. Site. After waiting 15 minutes or so in this train wreck of an office I talked to the person on duty, he told me to go to SLO Mini Storage, that U-Haul had everything confused again. I went to SLO mini storage a UHaul Employee was there trying to pick up a truck to relocate, he said he was there 15 minutes already and saw nobody. The office was wide open but nobody was around. Eventually the Supervisor of the UHaul Employee showed up and he, as I had done, called that locations number only to ring in the office. He then called his corporate office in California to find out what was going on. After close to 40 minutes at this site a gentleman showed up to help us, with no real explanation as to why we were all waiting. Not even a note on the window with an estimated time of return . Once he was there he got us on our way quick enough. All in all it took me 1.5 hours out of a very limited schedule, while people were waiting for me, to pick up a truck. The last time I used U-Haul on Suburban in SLO. It took 10 minutes in and out. I even call Ed them while I was waiting to see if they had anything available. Both sites put the blame on U Haul, though once I had help it didn't seem to be a real problem. I will never use the computerized reservation system again, I even did the pre check in to avoid any wait once I arrived. In the future if The Suburban location doesn't have a truck, I will use another service available in the area. The truck rental should have been the easiest part of my move that day and ended up just the opposite. Brett Bicksler

Employee was ten minutes late opening location. Computer systems were not working (Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 9am Pacific) and he said there was nothing he could do after making a phone call. He suggested we go home a "take a nap." However, the person he called *could* check out equipment from his location. He refused to work with this person to get us checked out. He gave us his number and we had to call him ourselves rather than "taking his recommended nap!!!!" He was very lazy, unmotivated to help his customers...

My experience at the local location (SLO Mini Storage) was just fine. No complaint. My experience with corporate U-Haul and your website was awful. I chose to have a 10' truck for pickup at 0900 at the Prado Road location. I got a message from you saying you had changed my location. Then I got a call from the new location that they would be happy to deliver a pickup truck to me at 4:30PM on that day - far cry from 0900 with a 10-footer, wouldn't you say?. I had to go to the Prado location to get them to communicate with you to get this straightened out, which they did quite well. Why can't corporate U-Haul be as helpful, accommodating, and professional as your lodcal dealers (or at least some of them). If I use U-Haul agan it will be because I support good local business people like the SLO Mini Storage dealer. Incidentally, why do you undercut your local dealers on moving supply prices? These are the people who make your business. Shouldn't you be supporting them? I know that this review is probably a waste of time, since, , you use these things merely to pretend you care.
