All went well, except for the return location. The location U-Hail sent me, Santa Fe Diner & Truck Stop, 1766 Hwy 1, San Antonio, NM 87832 is WRONG! The Santa Fe Diner is some 25 miles SOUTH of San Antonio, NM. When I found 1766 Hwy 1, San Antonio NM, it was right where Google map said it would be. But it's just a private residence. It took several calls to get a number to the Santa Fe Diner, which was 25 miles farther south. All this took an extra hour, making us late on the return. For Pete's sake, do a better job with return locations. Rather than some random house 25 miles away, it would have been MUCH better to describe return location as "Santa Fe Diner & Truck Stop, just off exit 115 on I-25." Being sent on a wild goose chase was just incredible.

Location needs better computers. There is interference with Albuquerque location apparently in this location. It is a quick shop so there are tons of interruptions. They need more help! This is not the first time we've had problems here. And it is not the personnel... they are nice enough... it is there computers!

The paperwork process took 40 minutes! There must be a faster way, or the employee must know what they are doing to make this more efficient. I was however very appreciative for the employee making sure the trailer was hooked up properly.

Boat trailers have a built in jack to raise and lower the tongue - would be very helpful to add this to trailers as large as the one I rented

First of all we got the uhaul dirty muddy on the outside so didn't bother letting the lady know about it because didn't think that mattered. When I rented the usual she said nothing about washing it b for we took it back so when we took it back to return it the man that was working wanted to charge us 25$ cleaning fee he said it was returned dirty on the outside so then I told him that we got it like that because we only had it for like an HR or so. N it was really dryed up mud

keep better track of the mileage of each vehical, we were charged for driving 57 miles when we barely drove a total of 15. the manager also said that she "can't do anything with this shit" over the phone to me (a person that she knew was a valid paying customer). i will not be using uhall in the foreseeable future.

Good Morning, I picked up the Uhaul, never received a walk around the truck etc. After loading it up, I got on the road and within five miles of leaving Socorro, NM where I picked up the Uhaul a tire blew out. This is a huge safety concern! Thankfully the gentleman who was contracted to make the repairs for Socorro was driving by, however my family member in another vehicle first had to drive back to town to the Uhaul location as we were not able to get through to Uhaul directly or the Chevron service center where it was picked up by phone. Both attempts on two separate calls kept us on hold for approximately 20 minutes. There was damage to the vehicle behind where the tire blew out, put us behind schedule and really the inconvenience of picking up a truck which was not thoroughly checked after the previous return, or even briefly looked over really compromised my safety. I have dropped of the vehicle at the set location and let them know of my experience and to please check the vehicle before it is picked up again. I have pictures of the damage as well. I would like to have the rental costs to use this vehicle reimbursed please. I was under the impression that I was going to be picking up a safe vehicle and the unnecessary risk I was put in is not something I feel that I should have to pay for. When checking in the vehicle the person at the location had never checked in a vehicle before. The process could be a little more straight forward and feel more "complete" after the rental. The primary person was great to deal with when checking out the vehicle. The vehicle itself was in great condition!

The person in charge of rentals was not at the location when we arrived for rental. The personal working at the Chevron had to call her and said she was on her way. We waited 45 minutes for her to arrive. She was not the least bit enthusiastic about providing service much less quality customer service.Unfortunately we were less than pleased. She was an awesome lady friendly and talkative, however her computer was broken (I guess) and it took about an hour to get out of there. I have rented many times and it takes 15 minutes usually. I am not upset.

Trailer had definitely seen better days, I knew how to hook up etc. but the attendant admitted they were not very good at it, so if you are a novice, probably should go elsewhere.

When I dropped off the trailer, I was told "thank you", was given no receipt, and was told that I should unhook it myself and leave it anywhere in the lot. While attempting to unhook and move the trailer myself, it was hit by a gust of wind, which pulled the trailer out of my hands, and the trailer began rolling down the sloped lot into the parking lot of an adjacent business, which was full of cars. I was able to catch it but sustained bruised knees and scraped fingers in the process. All the while, the attendant sat inside and did nothing. We had to force her to even come out to inspect the trailer. Very unprofessional. I cannot recommend this location to anyone!

Despite having my name, address, credit card information, and phone number this location threatened to report the truck stolen after their employee forgot to get my signature on the contract. After I returned it, they called again to demand that we bring cash to pay for the truck, insisting the card they had on file "didn't have any money or something". I had to return to the location to give them the same card again, which went through without issue. Presumably they wrote it down incorrectly. When I politely complained about the manner in which we were treated, the owner refused to apologize and tried to blame it on living out of town (I have no idea how this justifies anything). These are small mistakes, but the ATTITUDE with which they were handled was completely unacceptable. The manager of this location should be re-trained. We will not be returning.

Employee couldn't turn on computer. She had to call someone in, we left and returned ~30min later. Our jeep did not have the adapter for the lights. She had us drive ~30 mins out of town to her dads job where he "set up the lights" and charged us $40 on top of that the cabin lights in the jeep no longer turn on.

Location was excellent and did everything in their power to accomodate our needs. I won't say the same about Corporate U-Haul, their website, or their CSR's. I ordered a 26' trailer on-line, got a confirmation, and was then told they couldn't get me the right size truck at my location. This was with 6 days notice. Had to wait til 2 days prior to pick-up only to find all they had was a 14' truck. The location here in Socorro provided great service. Next time I'll just go to the local dealer and rent it rather than on-line. And apparently U-Haul doesn't want you to talk directly to the local dealers because the phone numbers on their website go straight to the U-Haul reservation system.

I had reserved a 17ft truck 8 days prior to this incident. I was told by voice-mail that they wouldn't have the truck I reserved. I called the number that I was told to call about this matter, only to find out that the contact number I was given was disconnected. I eventually found a working number, and waited for five and a half minutes for Nathan, the customer service representative to tell me that there was nothing he could do. It seemed to me that he kept pushing for me to cancel the reservation instead of trying to resolve the situation amicably. I have rarely been treated with such disrespect, and I have no intention with doing business with this company again.

The person at this location was an idiot. There were four available dollies, however the "computer" was assigning me a dolly with a different number (that was present at this location). This took over an hour to figure out and he had to call in another person to help. Very frustrating.

Person in charge of returns was not there when I arrived to return the truck earlier. Made me wait for 45min, then someone informed me the person would be there in about one more hour. Had to go back again later, and wasted a lot of my time. I do not recommend this location.

The truck should have at least had the windows cleaned. Glass was dirty inside and out. Floor should have been wiped down (mud and dust). Cargo area, door panels, dash, headliner, and seats were clean. Truck's differential whined excessively at speeds above 40 MPH - loud enough that a conversation had to be yelled out. I believe the differential was low on oil, had the wrong oil in it, or had worn out gears. This condition was mentioned to the return location.

I tried to rent a trailer at Augie Boys in Belen NM but they wanted money above the uhaul contract, the trailer had to stay in town and had to be turned back only to them ,all things contrary to what I had known about uhaul. they were rude and threatening and it was an awful experience.
