Cory GIt was an older truck but for my local move it fit the bill.
George T1. I arrived to rent a uhaul and a dolly 2. I said four times “I’m moving a washer and dryer and I only need a truck and a dolly to move it quickly before 11 am because I already gave my keys to my office manager” I had my son with me and he too heard me repeatedly say it. Check the cameras! I said I need a dolly!!! I drive away in the truck and arrive at my house and there is no dolly. I called and they claim they didn’t hear me say I needed a dolly. They told me to rerun to get one and that means more money using miles and it’s a thirty minute drive so I would have lost my washer and dryer from being locked out as I stated I only had until 11am. I had to move the washer and dryer by lifting them and I BROKE MY FINGER! I turned the truck on to take them to my storage unit and the engine light came on which then caused me unnecessary stress. I want a full reimbursement. Seriously this is the worse experience I have ever had and when I returned the truck and told them I broke my fucking finger they were not sympathetic at all and just said “oh well we didn’t hear you say you need a dolly”. I literally walked in the door saying I’m in a hurry and I need to move a washer and dryer and I need a truck and a dolly. I explained everything and didn’t need to but I did and I said four time I need a dolly!!!!!.

Kennneth NThey told me the gas was full, I drove 27 miles and went to top the gas off. I let the pump run and it filled over 12 gallons. I ended up paying $40 in gas and they charged me an extra 10 dollars for driving 7 miles more than I actually drove. Make sure you look at the gas gauge when renting from this place.

Keith TCheck in was very slow for me and another customer. Vehicle was clean but very tired. Check engine light was on, tire monitoring system needed attention,and driver’s visor was broken and flopping around. As noted above the vehicle was very tired!
GORDON FIt took almost forty minutes to get the U-Haul because something with the system. I beat the movers by not even 5 minutes. Cut it way to close

TIMOTHY MUHaul has a required minimal amount of gas in the truck for drop off. The problem is the drop off person makes a personal judgment on the amount of gas in the truck from a non digital, non needle metered truck gauge then writes a line on a piece of paper indicating how much gas is in the truck which is totally subjective. Immediately before drop off, I filled the truck to the level I had received it at, upon arrival the drop of person said it was short and I would be penalized. We had a argument as I showed him the pick up contract papers, written gas gauge amount and the gauge on the truck. He would not discuss it so, I drove back and put in $10 extra dollars so I wouldn't be penalized a significantly higher fee. A very subjective process.

John HThe customer service at pick up was great! The young girl that helped me was very sweet but the drop-off was alittle strange. I filled up the gas about 5 minutes before I dropped it off and it was full to the top. Then I realized that when I picked up the fuel tank looked full (because the lines are a little confusing if you don't drive a u-haul everyday) but was actually not and about a 20 dollar difference. I actually took a picture of the dash when I picked it up and that was the only thing that validated my story. Ultimately the guys told me there is nothing they can do because they aren't technically "U-haul" and they don't do any comp services for that stuff and that I would have to contact corporate. They both did agree that it wasn't close full when they saw the picture, so I was just confused how they didn't catch that when they checked the fuel and mileage when I picked up. Other than that, it was a smooth enjoyable process. My goal was to support small local business during my move. I guess I was just hoping for more transparency or honesty in doing that. Not the typical shrug of the shoulders that you get from bigger shops and having to spend more time dealing with corporate over 20 dollars when something happens during a move that is already costing me thousands!

The day we picked up the van was sunny and clear HOWEVER- the next day it rain most of the day of our travel, the van body leaked rain from both sides of the van body. Schwartz said it was UHAUL job to handle the compensation to our bill. REF # 5789687 as of this time of writing has not been addressed. Schwartz team confirmed it leaked at my call. IT took days to dry out furniture and clothing. 2011 UNIT has 152218 miles time to replace vehicle, mileage was one of the worst I've driven.......................

GARY SI was checking in and speaking with a woman behind the counter when another associate walked up and asked “You’re not leaving your car here are you?” I said I was as I was only using the U-Haul for 2 hours. He said he doesn’t have any parking and I could leave it at a grocery store or at a boat dock, both places this business didn’t own. Once I got into the U-Haul, it was dirty, worn out, stained, smelled like exhaust fumes. As I was driving it, the truck continued to backfire, make a sputtering noise and was overall embarrassing to drive. K will never use this location again! I’ve never had a bad experience with U-Haul until today.

ARTHUR LWhy does U-Haul have new trucks without Cruise Control. Made the 4 hour trip painful for my right leg. Had to constantly monitor my speed and not keep my eyes on the road. I found that often I was going over the speed limit.
