It is difficult to determine if the equipment is "well maintained". The trailers are stored outside, exposed to the elements. The dealer does not perform the maintenance and has no records of if or when wheel bearings were last inspected, tire pressure checked, etc. It sounds as if equipment is left to run until it breaks while in use, leaving the customer to deal with the consequences.

The 20 ft. Had not arrived when we got to the store. The store associate did the best he could to help us. We ended up taking a 15 ft which was really too dmall. Originally we wanted a truck out of Andover or Newbury. No one ever mentioned there was a larger truck coming into Newbury which would have been much easier than the one we ended up with.

he was a good sales person.. yet I had to spend an additional $5.00 after buying a new hitch on the way to the store.. as was not told the ones with the grove on the end would not work for U Haul.. kinda important there.. trailer was a bit dirty.. old pizza and all.. not too bad.. yet when ya sliding in upholstered furniture that can make a difference on staining stuff.. which it did with my couch,, was in a hurry and did not have time to preclean before use.

The vehicle did have some sticky spots on the console and the floor, like a soda pop spill, and the previous user was a smoker because the inside windshield had a thick film that was a bother to clean, more so because we were on the road and had to purchase supplies to clean the windshield thoroughly.

The last few times we've needed a car hauler they have been very hard to find in our local area. Sears of Newport has been wonderful the last two times my family has rented from Uhaul. They are by far our favorite location that any of us have used for our Uhaul needs.

Sears of Claremont not a good experience renting a uhaul. They never asked me if I wanted or did not want insurance just added it without my consent and gave me a story on why he did not ask me. Unprofessional and I spent a lot in rental.

Have the associate verify the mileage. There was a big discrepancy with the mileage when I dropped it off. They ended up correcting the issue and was aware of it so that was much appreciated. I feel that that situation could have been avoided.

I'd be happy to recommend your location and use it again. However, with my dolly not being available (after I paid for it) and a warning light be ON in the cab the entire trip to NYC and back (making it so I couldn't see or read the odometer), plus the used Kleenex in the bin in the center console were all turn-offs. My comments are not meant to be vindictive. If nobody mentions these little details, things don't get better or improved. I'll use U-Haul again for my next move, and appreciate their detail to following-up with customers who seemed to have a less than excellent experience.

Service expert was very friendly, knowledgable, and quick. Truck was new, clean, and there at the pickup time.

Problems with the internet at the pickup location caused a lengthy delay in processing the contract (45 minutes). Same issue when returning the car dolly. I had to call customer service to get a receipt printed showing I returned the equipment..

The Young man there did not know how to check in a vehicle. Had to call store manager or someone. Tried to charge me a late charge on a truck that I did not have for 24 hours. Told me that I did not drop it off during business hours the day before. The vehicle was there overnight and there was NO drop box. Paper work gave me until 8am the next day. Told me "It was in the paper work".

The truck I rented reeked of cigarette smoke which was bothersome to us as non-smokers. You would be wise to establish a strict NO SMOKING policy for your vehicles and if a renter does smoke in the vehicle have it properly deodorized before renting it again.
