I rented a Uhaul on January 22nd for February 10th. I called the week of to inquire and ensure that the location had the vehicle I would be using. I was dismissed on the phone saying that if I reserved online and it said it was available, it was available. Well, that wasn't true. I arrived at 8:00 on February 10th only to discover that they didn't have the vehicle that I reserved. The location called corporate office to say that a location 25 minutes away had one. They would only lower the mileage by a little bit even though I would be driving to get it. At the end of it, the location had a smaller uhaul that I could switch my reservation, but they had the most difficult time locating a key. Finally found the key and I was able to leave an hour after arriving. The staff was as nice as they could be, but I was disappointed at the fact that I tried multiple things to ensure that I would have my rental at the correct location and time. Very disappointing experience with this uhaul.

I was unable to access the UHAUL app during my check-in (minimal cell service in the area). I left the trailer where they suggested - and did my "close-out" from my house (therefore, I wasn't able to do a live photo of the trailer). I also did not receive an online receipt. Thanks- Joel

Moving is never easy, but when you rent a vehicle to move you shouldn’t have to clean an inch of dog hair out of the vehicle along with food and funk all over the seats! We had to drive an hour out of our way to pick the truck up also, so making sure a truck is in the area you live in would be nice especially if you reserved it weeks before!

The problem with the company we had made a reservation for May 28 with a week in advance and the day before they called us that they do not have a 26 ”truck then they remove the reservation By May 31 when we go they do not have a truck and that the day before they had called us that it was ready they told us that they could not do anything for us this was in Phenix City we had to call customer service to find an urgent truck now that we had made two reservations and the company was bad, we had to travel an hour to this town to find a truck smaller than 20 ”because they did not have more we had to vote for belongings. The problem was not the location where we picked up the truck, the problem was the first location where we booked in Phenix City. They did that to us twice. I'm sorry but we had a lot of bad times with this company

Kathy KnightEquipment was clean but windshield wiper blades were dried out and could not remove rainwater thoroughly during rainstorm. Visibility was terrible and driving was dangerous during rain that fortunately was only about 20 minutes that seemed a lot longer. Rented 4 dz blankets but only received 46. Could not easily determine quantity received because they were not packaged or folded. Just a bunch dumped in truck and about 4-5 were dirty + one was a baby version of the standard blanket - 1/2 size and thinner material. Discovered shortage during truck loading and did not have time for a 30 mile round trip to source for shortage.

Never got the overcharge but did get MORE CHARGES ON MY CREDIT CARD... WOW, WHAT THEIVES! Talked to the corporate office once more and got all kinds of, we'll call you back and take care of the problem, promise... YEAH RIGHT!

He had a helper/employee standing next to me when I parked the truck next to another 26 footer, yet he asked me to move the truck and park it in front of their front door. When I said I shouldn't be moving vehicles on their property, he got ill and charged me 25 dollars to fold 6 blankets that I didn't even rent. As a Uhaul dealer I know what a clean Uhaul looks like. It was not in need of cleaning.

DON COFFEYPick up truck on Saturday August 4th at 8:30 AM. I dropped of the truck at 8:00AM on Sunday August 5th. The location was closed. I left a copy of my contract and the truck key in the drop box. Received an email for an addition charge of $38.00 for another day and $28.00 insurance. As far as I know there is still 24 hours in a day. Unfair that I was charged for another day when the drop off location was closed. Also I had half a tank more gas in truck then when I picked it up. Never will use UHaul again.

I was not happy about having to drive an hour our of my way to get the equipment I requested. Also, not happy I was still charged full price after a price match was made and was not given a military discount.

EDERETT STEEDIt took over an hour with paper work! I watched him fill the application out and noticed it was not "user friendly". Not good when a company has part time help and during the holidays this happens. The owner came in after a second phone call for help and was not happy. I was truly sorry for the employee and also sorry I inconvenienced the owner I dropped by the next morning due to the chains dragging and lights not working. The light issue was on my vehicle which we were not aware of. My daughter and I were able to handle this via phone with her husband. The owner told his employees not to assist The business was slow and I now realize why. I hope he nor his family ever need assistance on the highway and are treated in this manner. I am sorry we inconvenienced his 2 days. This was a bad experience and not necessary. If the owner did not want to assist us I would have appreciated him being kind enough to say that he could not help due to policy or whatever. We are two women with a 2 year old and 2 month old child.
barbara mcdonaldMy location was changed to 30 miles further from my house. This is a busy hardware with one cash register. My transaction took over an hour and was interrupted by customers buying hardware supplies. Wires for trailer were damaged and needed to be repaired before leaving. Staff was kind and helpful, just would not use again as to far away and to time consuming.
