Uhauls are obviously not sanitized much less cleaned between users. Ver dusty and sticky drips in the tray. Floorboard dirty.

I picked up the truck but there was not a hand dolly nor the blankets in the truck. The location was closed so I did the p/up via mobile app. I called the 1-800 number and was instructed to p/up the equipment at another location 45minutes away and told there was no charge for the blankets nor the hand dolly but I still see the charges on my bill. PLEASE ISSUE MY CREDIT.

We have been using the storage facility for over 30 years. For the longest time, it was well-kept, clean, and the office staff was wonderful. Over the last few years, it has gone down considerably. There is no one ever in the office, trash, and weeds are everywhere When I went to clean out my unit I couldn’t get out because the keypad was missing. There was no sign to tell you that you had to come forward to almost touching the gate for it to open. I called to say that my last day would be June 30 and I still am getting a bill for late payment.

I have often rented and/or returned U-Haul trucks and auto-transports from/to Shalimar Storage, and there’s really just one reason, and that is Judith Ju, who has got to be one of the best customer service people of all time. What a terrific help she has been on so many occasions. Her knowledge and expertise are exemplary, and her service professionalism is beyond comparison, and that’s coming from the four decade luxury hospitality veteran that I am. She is delightful and friendly and has made the difference every time. I cannot say enough good things about her, and how I actually look forward to renting from U-Haul because it means seeing and talking with her again!

The mechanics of the vehicle was not good. The steering wheel was out of tune. I had turn the steering wheel too much to keep the truck straight on the road. I was not happy with the vehicle. Plus it smelled really old.

First of all, this location is a PIG PEN. Dirt lot, not attended, shabby business location. UHaul should be ashamed to call this dump their own. And, I found out online that they tacked on a $25 charge for folding the blankets I paid to rent. So, even though I PAID extra to rent the blankets, I'm supposed to fold them too?! A rip off. Never again UHaul.

Not the location or the rep’s fault. She was great. The truck, on the other hand, reeked of what smelled like cat urine. We tried to clean the truck’s interior and air it out to no avail. There were no other trucks in our immediate area available in that size, so we had to suck it up for a week. Other than that, the rest was a good experience and your rep does you a good service when she works.

Correct odometer reading- was charged additional 191$ by error- I wasn’t able to change the odometer reading on the app- was erroneously charged more miles that were NOT driven!

The lady at the front desk to this was very helpful. I was not able to rent a place that was a U-Haul provider as the one in Panama City was completely full. I tried to rent one where I turned in the U-Haul and I had to pay full price. There was no offer of a free month like on the website and the location in Panama City was completely full.

The facilities were reasonably priced but are in need of upgrades. The doors on one of the units was in bad condition and hard to open. There also appeared to be excessive moisture which caused mold and mildew in my belongings. There also were scores of insects in the buildings. A major problem with storage is that boats, trailers and vehicles are parked where a turn radius is needed for larger trucks to make the turns between buildings. When asked about this the manager becomes very belligerent and defensive saying the larger trucks including the large U-Hauls shouldn’t be using the storage. It appears that these vehicles are placed there purposely as obstacles to discourage larger trucks from using the storage facilities. Why then, would people with large moves want to store there? It appears that the If the boats and trailers were relocated to better areas there would be no problems. Generally, she is nice but because her attitude toward customers over this issue is unacceptable, I can’t recommend her Shalimar for storage. As far as the U-Haul services go it seems to be okay although they don’t rent or accept trailers which is inconvenient. There are better facilities for these services and In sure more are coming with the extreme growth in the area.
