I had requested a 26' truck and full size auto transport trailer weeks in advance at Bob and Bev's in Indiana Pa. There are 4 U-haul dealers in Indiana. I was told when my pick up date came, the equipment would be at one of those 4 dealers. The night before I'm due to pick it up, I'm informed that I would need to travel 25 miles to Leechburg Pa to pick up my truck. I'm paying 3 men a total of $49 / hour to sit and wait for me to bring back the truck. Never again.Dennis B.

The uHaul company reserved a uit for me at one location. They then changed that location via email after the phone call set up the pick up. The change of location was out of the way and resulted in less time with the trailer. Customer Service would not help in any way. Uhaul has treated me horribly every time I rented from them and I believe I have finally rented here my last timeAdam B.

The time that I was given over the phone to rent the u-haul was 11:30 to 11:30 the next day. When I went to pick up the u-haul Shearer's garage informed me that it had to be return by 8:00a.m. the next day. So I did not get to rent the truck for the 24 hours that I was told by the person that works for u-haul. Very disappointed and very rushed! Pick up location did not have packing materials that were ordered when making reservations for Uhaul. (They do not keep ANY on site.) It is not their fault, though ... U-Haul relocated my equipment order to Shearer Garage (basically, it's JUST a garage), but kept the packing materials order at the originally reserved location. (Why would U-Haul do this? The wrong truck and location was not given to me as requested. I wanted the branch in Ford City, they gave me another location another 15 miles out of the way. I was then charged for the extra milage where if I had received the truck 20 foot truck instead of the 26 foot truck I would have paid less for gas and travel milage would of been less. Overall the next time I use a storage moving place U-haul will be last on my list. Very disappointed also with the treatment from the vacility.AARON M.

Trailer had to be "transferred in" from another location so I could pick up on a Saturday. Computerized paperwork wasn't done when we arrived so we waited for a half hour while it was completed. Finally, when paperwork was completed, we hooked up our tow dolly to find out that our wiring (done by UHaul in Jacksonville only 4 days earlier) wasn't done correctly and the trailer lights wouldn't work correctly. We were told that they could fix it but, "[their] lift is tied up". Indeed there was a big rusty cadillac up on the lift and it didn't have a wheel on it. Rather than put the wheel back on and fix our wiring, they said "your best bet is going to be to go to Holiday Park and get the wiring redone... we'd do it, but we just can't". Holiday Park is a half hour away. Ultimately, they couldn't fix our wiring either, but if given the choice between Holiday Park and Shearer's again, I'd definitely just go to Holiday Park first. Shearers is great if you want to sit on a stool, spit tobacco on the floor and talk to hillbillies, but if you want service, pick another location.EDWARD W.

Turn in was fairly painless. My main complaint is with the corporate Uhaul operation and their website. They selected a pickup location that was 20 miles from my home. Second, the pickup date was a day when the company was NOT OPEN. Thus, I had to make two trips, one to sign the paperwork, and one to pick up the vehicle. Additionally, there was a Uhaul location less than 5 minutes from my house - however, I still had to drive 30+ minutes to the other location. I requested 36 furniture pads for my move. Again, my location for pickup was selected for me and the location only had 10 pads - which corporate was able to view through their website. To cap everything off, when I called to find the location where I had to turn the vehicle in, they sent me to a place that NO LONGER DEALS WITH UHAUL. So, to recap - I had a pretty good experience with the individual operators. They went out of their way to help me, especially since "Big Uhaul" is so amazingly incompetent. Which brings me to the final point - Corporate Uhaul and their website pretty much stink. Extremely disappointed with their service and lack of concern for the customer. I'm in the military, and thus I move every 18-24 months, often across the country. I plan to contact another company (Penske? Ryder? Budget?) and deal with them. Additionally, I plan to tell all of my co-workers about my horrible experience with Uhaul and will hopefully steer them away from your service.Michael H.
