I had called and scheduled with a local U-Haul location a few blocks from my house a week prior to pickup, dropped by the location to confirm the day before, all good he even showed me the trailer. Later that afternoon I received a call from U-Haul telling me I needed to go 25 minutes down the road to pickup my trailer in Mebane. Why? The Mebane location was a challenge to find, Google directions take you to a residential area, very smal low to the groundl U-Haul sign on the main road and only had a single person who was unable to help with lifting and mounting the heavy trailer onto my hitch. Very customer focused and very nice, but wasn't prepared to do that myself.ROBERT D.

$20 fee if you return the vehicle after closing and DON'T go to their link to log it....even though they obviously see it along with the keys in the drop-box when they open the next morning. I didn't happen to notice that provision at the end of one of three texts they send you after renting. Weak.KAI E.
It was just a drop off after hours so I didn't really have to deal with any staff. The only thing that could help make it a better location would be to add a sign on the road pointing in the right direction. I was quite concerned that that I was in the right place.AMY W.

The truck we had was a horrible ride. It shook all the way to Florida and back. Definitely needs a service, wheels balanced, etc. It was hard to keep on the road, all bumps just threw the truck all over. It was pretty clean inside minus typical dirt from shoes.KIMBERLY R.

Truck not in great shape, hard to drive speed odometer was off, ramp equipment broken, etc, etc. Promised reserved storage NOT. Had to find storage elsewhere but not at uhaul with 1st free month. I hope I don't move again. Was a headache. People in Mebane, NC were great!SUZANNE T.

I did not receive a single thing I originally selected for my moving day, the location pick up was moved an hour away from my house, my pick up time was pushed to the late afternoon instead of morning, someone picked up my truck by accident so I was stuck with a 10' truck instead of a 15' truck, because of this all the supplies I added on was not in my truck for me to utilize for moving. All of this also resulted in the help I recruited for the original time not being able to show up and help anymore. Every single part of this process was super difficult for my move-in day and I am very unhappy with my overall experience.Marco Antonio E.

Set some sort of professionalism standard. Properly talk through the process with customer. Not smoke cigarettes in the customers face. Properly check the equipment before dispatching it to ensure it matches the information on the contract. Not leave a customer threatening voicemail alerting to report the uhaul stolen because you didn't follow the proper checkout protocols.Shakera S.

The sight is not in a great place for internet connectivity. I kept having to move around to get my photos to load. If there was free wifi that the customers could automatically connect to, that would be helpful for the online drop-off and pick-up.LISA M.

It's hard to find if you are not familiar with the area, you have to turn into the gas station drive to the back. It's got a little bit of lighting in the parking area, and I would not go there alone at night because it's a little secluded to pick up.ANGELA E.
I rented the Uhaul at Woods Farm and Garden, 1.5 miles from my home. I did this to save money on gas and mileage. When I arrived there to pick up the truck. I couldn't check in. After a long convo with the 800 help line I discovered it was at a location 10 miles from my home. Totally INCOVENIENT and added at least $20 to the cost of my rental. I did not pick this up in Melbane, NC , I picked it up in Roxboro NC. There was no one at the location. I called several phone numbers on building. Fortuneatly Melbane location answered. Next day started getting phone calls from Roxoboro about this rental. They called me several times that day before they finally got their act together. then on tuesday I dropped the trailer off in Lake Placid, FL. The guy checked it in and told me it was taken care of. Not So! On sat. started getting calls on this again. I received several calls including that they were going to charge me for more days because they had nothing showing that it was checked in.I had to call my sister in law and get her to go to the place where I turned it in and get the man to get it straight. It seems your company is very unorganized. I did not have a good experience with uhaul. I hope you do not treat all your rentals this way.Danny R.

There was no one even at the pickup site and there were multiple people waiting just as confused as we were. When we reserved our Uhaul online, we were told the location was open 7-5 and we reserved dollys, furniture pads, etc. NONE of the supplies were accessible. The only way we even got the Uhaul was by rebooking it and checking in via mobile... keys were in the open glove box the whole time. What a freaking joke. A woman called me later with an attitude saying it's a mobile only site. How were we supposed to know that?? We had to find dollys and furniture pads at another location and delay our move by hours. Trailer was fine. No one was at the location for pick up or drop off. Called and left voice mail, then got a call back. Person calling was very nice and friendly, but it was a bit unnerving to drop off the trailer with no conformation other than "What is your Name, your done". I would have preferred someone to be there to sign off that i returned the trailer and that it was in good shape.Donnie S.
