I am being charged an extra $75 over what I was qouted and neither the place I picked up nor the place I dropped off can explain why. Neither shows the charge but it is on my bank account.

Linda MostellerThere is so much wrong with the experience we had. From the moment I walked in, and still to this day. I have been charged $800 dollars for a one day rental picking up and dropping off at the same location!!! I have called U-Haul several times to get this matter resolved and have yet to hear back from anyone. This is unacceptable and have been causing my family a headache everyday!! I would not recommend this to anyone! And I have/will tell everyone about my experience. Someone needs to do something….

Sandi RunklesWhen I returned the trailer to the drop off location in Adel they were of no assistance whatsoever, just motioned over to location where trailer needed to be dropped off. The receipt says it was dropped off today, but it was actually dropped off same day as pickup at around 8PM on July 22, 2023 for the record.

DAVID DIAZThe location was a merchant rather than a dealership. They seemed surprised and annoyed by our reservation. The van was filthy. There was dirt and cigarette butts and it smelled like actual livestock had been transported in it. The tank was completely on empty. After leaving the merchant, I viewed my mobile receipt and the rental I'd made for 24 hours was only for 4 and when I called to change it, support charged me for another day. But not before threatening me with "someone reserved it after you, but you can pay more and keep it." So either I was lied to, or Uhaul values my money more than another customer's "reservation." I wouldn't have gone through with this if I wasn't in a dire situation. Horrible experience and I won't be doing business with uhaul anymore, despite doing business with them for years.

Peggy HiersI was somewhat hastily greeted by a gas station attendant who jotted some of my personal information down on a scratch paper that seemed to have other things on it and I wasn’t real positive of how secure that was and I didn’t see him throw it away. Kinda sketchy but I didn’t really have a lot of time to say anything. The attendant was polite and cordial if not just a bit informal.

CHERYL CONNELLThis was probably the worse uhaul experience I have ever had. The guy had me write down what I need while he talked on the phone and ignored my questions. He set up my truck for the wrong pick up time. When I went to go pick it up there was another worker working that had no idea what I was picking up and threw a key at me with an attitude. Basically made me go look for the truck. The back of the truck was filthy and disgusting 🤢. I dropped the truck off 2 1/2 hrs later from pick same day. Next day I get a phone call being accused of still having the truck when I already returned it the previous day. Got over charged $118 dollars later for 2 1/2 hrs and I only drove 28 miles and put gas back in. Worst place to ever rent a uhaul from. Good luck if you decide to get one from shell gas station in ADEL GA right of freeway 75 exit 38. Horrible horrible place.

Aaron KostiukWhile everything went smoothly, when we needed help deciding if we could extend our reservation the operator I spoke with was not very helpful. I also Believe it is excessive to charge a daily rate plus a mileage rate plus gas. Unfortunately, we will likely not be using U-Haul again.

Robert RobinsonThey seemed to not understand how to process my rental. They offered me no service or assistance with finding the trailer I rented. I didn't see it (it was between trucks and wasn't readily visible) until I had hitched a front wheel auto-trailer. I came very close to driving off with the wrong trailer. Also, I believe one of the tires on the trailer wasn't turning properly. Bearing issue? Lube issue? I pull a 20' boat on a breaking trailer. The rented trailer definitely needed some work. Sure I'd recommend this site to a friend. They were the only place around that had what I needed. They told me how to get my pickup time moved up. The person who handled my phone call was great. The person who processed my rental, behind the counter, seemed not to know what he was doing.

Lacee HobbsMake sure whoever drops the Uhaul returns it on a full tank, like you expect the next person to do!!! Don't just hound certain people!!! If I get the vehicle on a quarter tank, that's how I'm returning it don't expect a full tank! And I paid $112 for TWO measly hours!!!

EDWARD ELLISFirst I reserved my truck for a different location. They sent me to Adel location. They do not have internet and they have to get on the phone to verify The reservation. Mean while they are also taking customers for the gas station all while trying to assist you. I was supposed to have a dolly. I had to ask if it was in the truck after an hour of waiting on a reservation that was done days in advance. She has to go to the back of the gas station and removed some crates from the dolly before giving it to me. I’m still waiting on my refund because I’m the mist of them sending me to multiple locations they cancelled the reservation that I paid for. So when I got to adel I had to pay again. So as off today I still have not received my refund.

ROBERT LAWSON1. Horrible service, no one to assist when I returned the vehicle in the evening. 2. Cockroaches were all in thebback of the Uhaul all day. Wow! 3. The Uhaul needs a back up camera. It would've been impossible to back up without someone to guide me. 4. Employees at Shell station need to have more knowledge about the check in and out process.

DEBORAH FLACKRented us a partially broken trailer (lights and tire straps faulty) the attendant did not know how to secure our car to. No one told us the sides of the trailer could fold down, so it was impossible to get in our car the entire trip without climbing in the back window. Needed expert Uhaul people...
