The location was in front of a run down hotel with people walking through a broken fence. I did not feel safe.
Christine LFirst truck we were give had a missing windshield wiper and the glass was scratched. We also ordered in advance moving blankets and only found out at pick up there weren’t any. I would have appreciated a call in advance to allow us to make other plans. There were also a lot of homeless people in the lot… so I felt uneasy returning a truck at night.

Orlando BOutside of some remnants of other renters the u-haul was pretty clean. I appreciated the modern more up to date unit I was able to drive. The loaner representative was friendly though I recommend maybe having someone else with him since it’s two businesses in one to prevent a renter finishing the initial transaction from slow down others trying to get in and out of the gas station and causing additional wait time. It would also be less stress on him as well. Pretty nice location!!

Ingrid MLet’s start with the original pick up sight, U-Haul on fort Stewart was supposed to be open Saturday at 10 am. I had multiple confirmation emails for this location. When I arrive, it’s locked so I wait about 10 minutes and then call the main office where I’m told that location is actually closed. Had a great conversation with a woman I don’t remember her name. She found a U-Haul place that was open but unfortunately I would have to get the 20’ instead of the 26’. Okay, sucks but not the end of the world. I make the drive from Hinesville to Richmond hill to get this truck and it’s a gas station. I was supposed to get a standing dolly and 6 moving blankets but they didn’t have those, luckily they still had the “furniture dolly” so I took that. I’m glad that I was able to get a truck but this never should have happened. If I would’ve known the first place was going to be closed I would’ve picked the truck up on Friday instead.
SHAYLA WYour company said they was going to take off $50 for the original location was a NoGo and i was late getting the truck on time. I hope and pray this old veteran wasn't lied to.

Kathryn HI have used this same location a couple times in the past and it’s very convenient. You can also park your car there while you’re using the truck. The lot is not a typical crowded U-Haul lot but rather is very large. It’s also very convenient because it is run out of a shell gas station, this giving you access to gas, food and truck rental at the same facility. Nice employees at this facility. The U-Haul trucks drive like a van and driving is never fatiguing. Since the last time I rented one, they have added the U-Haul app where you actually take the photos around and in the truck including showing truck condition, mileage and fuel tank level, thus providing photographic evidence of the condition of the truck before and after you rented it.

HOLLY MCharged me for gas when I filled up the tank to full exactly how I received it.
TIERRA HThe truck had a high pitch squeal to it and it was not full when I picked up even though the receipt said it was full. The site also couldn't print me a receipt so I had to look through my email to find it and it was mixed up with another uhaul I had rented earlier. Needless to say I didn't have a great experience with this dealer.

MICHAEL LFirst i was sent to a different location which would have been fine but then i was given a truck 8 times bigger than i ordered then had to pour money into gas then the truck not even having it 30 min the check engine light comes on they sent a mechanic but the entire ride was extremely uncomfortable and difficult to manage

DARRELL HWe reserved (by phone at UHaul main reservation) a truck, furniture dolly and 6 blankets when we made our reservation. When we arrived to pick up the truck we were told they don’t have blankets or dolly’s at this location, which made for a very frustrating experience for us. Probably won’t use UHaul ever again after this experience.
DAVID OCabin floor was a little dirty. but the rest was Excellent.

SHANE PLocation did not have hand truck even though it was confirmed in reservation. Tried to reach the location 10+ times the day of the reservation because I did not receive a call from the dispatcher. Came to find out they turned off their phone just because they felt like it. At check in I saw them ignore 10+ calls. Took 45 minutes to check in and get my truck.
AUSTIN PHave the correct vehicle I reserved and not just whatever is there is there. I reserved a cargo van well over a week in advance and still had to rent a box truck which I didn't reserve because I can't drive one.
Mary CThe door on the unit was so heavy that it was dangerous and had it not been for strong college students we would not have been able to load and unload.
Richard MI could find no signage about key drop off or really anything U-Haul except there were a bunch of trucks already there. Had to go into very busy gas station and wait in line to be told that I needed to get dolly out and put behind store. Then back inside to wait again. It took longer to drop off then pick up.

jenningsv aThe was a 15 Foot truck and this vehicle not only smelled bad it was extremely dirty. The gentleman was very nice and helpful l. But the there was only one person at the location and took longer to get the vehicle.
Lupe ABusiness hour pickup was fine but I had reservation for an early AM pickup and there was no equipment assigned so I ended up needing to wait around an hour and a half until they opened. Very frustrating start to the move.

Charles SHorrible, horrible, horrible. I booked my Savannah to Chicago 10" Uhaul truck on March 12th to move my daughter out of her apartment and back to Chicago. I planned way ahead as we had one-day to pack her up and clean out the apt by 5pm that day. I show up May 31st at the rental at 8810 Abercorn St. (where there was a lot FULL of trucks) only to be told that they had nothing available. That I should have received a call at 5pm the day before to confirm where to get the truck, and sorry that we didn't, but they could not do anything. What?! They gave me a main Uhaul number only to try it three times to be told 1.) there were no truck available, 2.) we could drive 3.5. hours away to pick up a truck, and 3.) that my reservation "wasn't a real reservation. like when you book an airline ticket but you show up and really don't have a seat". Double WTF?! Could NOT believe it. Finally, KIA at the corporate headquarters spent over a half an hour on the phone to find us a truck at a different location 30 minutes away. SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE THIS WOMAN A PROMOTION, A RAISE, OR MAKE HER YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINER. I will NEVER again use Uhaul. Their booking policies, lack of followup, and total lack of interest in solving problems THEY HAVE CREATED has left me stunned. And, yes corporate marketing/customer service/CEO. You will be getting a call from us.
Mike DI’ve rented from Uhal time and time again, the ONLY problem that I have with the GA/Savannah area is that 1.) the person that I talk to on the 1800number was RUDE. 2.) the truck that I had scheduled WAS NOT AT THE LOCATION. 3.) I wasn’t offered an extra day only extra miles. 4.) the person at the pick up location had NO idea what he was doing. I wasn’t rude or anything I just simply let him try to figure it out but it definitely cut into my moving time, he didn’t actually go over the contract just handed me keys and sent me on my way. Hopefully yall actually use this surveys

warren GEquipment I reserved (appliance dolly, furniture dolly, blankets) were not available when I picked it up the truck. I asked what I could do to get some and response was a flippant "you could try another location." Air conditioning in the truck did not work. Features in app to check in truck didn't work and resulted in a charge for after hours drop off at a 24 hour location. I think I'll try Ryder next time.

LUCIEN MThe truck rental was fine, but we ordered 3 dozen furniture pads, which were on the truck but were wet and unusable. They had to be thrown out. So we were stuck without furniture pads and the only thing we were told we could do would be to drive to another U-Haul location that was 45 minutes away to get them! This was a HUGE inconvenience as we had a time sensitive move and people coming to our home to help load the truck. We ended up having to use blankets/bedspreads/anything we could find to wrap our furniture in…and still some things were damaged because we just didn’t have enough. If U-Haul had let us know even the night before this was an issue, we could have made alternative plans. But we were blindsided the morning of the move and it made for a very stressful day! Poorly done U-Haul- you should have helped remedy the situation instead of just recommending we go elsewhere to pick up what we ordered and should have been provided. Now we will go elsewhere for our future moving needs.

Ricky DThere was a huge miscommunication. When I arrived to this location the pickup my rental truck I was told there wasn’t any available. After attempting to contact customer service while waiting there was a truck returned which was smaller than what was requested which meant multiple trips and of course more mileage and gas costs

ROGER OUpload ID once. I had to upload at the pick up location and the storage location.
