Someone should check trucks between use. There was candy wrappers left in truck, tire pressure was way out of what 20psi difference, and oil maintenance was required.

Good Morning, The trucks wheel alinement was extremely bad and could have cause a major problem. It was not checked at all before it was given to us nor was it cleaned. Probably because the agent was late himself and had to be called by the older lady attending the counter. We cleaned it ourselves before use and left the cleaning materials upon return. The drivers side rear view mirror was struck while parked and we had to park on the sidewalk to avoid further damage. I hope the issue can be resolved without these extreme charges on my account due to such hazardous conditions the truck was given to us.

I was charged twice the advertised price, and I'd like to know why. I will submit a claim with my credit card co. to not pay the arbitrary charges. It's good to begin business being honest; don't advertise a price and then charge your customers double that amount. Really ridiculous and not a good way to do business!

This location is easy to get to. Wonderful Service!! I will suggest that you make your reservation online, that makes it much easier when you come to pick up your truck. I didn't need any extra equipment so that's what made it much easier for me too. This was a very smooth transition, I made it back a half hour earlier as well. Thank you for making this very easy for me!!!

Absolutely terrible experience, truck wasn’t clean. Did not get the desired truck size and somehow it was more expensive . And not to mention the cost for the gas was absolutely ridiculous. I should’ve stuck with Penske. Will never be using U-Haul again.

Personnel in this location were very helpful. Was charged additional fees by the U-haul company after explain clearly that the fees were already paid for. Didn’t stop them from charging me a second time. This happens every time I rent with U-Haul. Extra fee hidden everywhere. Definitely learned my lesson this time and will be renting with another company next time.

The location has three things going for it: location, location, and location. This means little effort is needed for anything else. In particular, the truck's service deterrent system was lit and beeping throughout my rental. The truck itself has no shock absorption, and the engine sounds like it has never been serviced. The location is very busy, so there was a long line to return the car (and becasue the service deterrent system message was on instead of the odometer, I could not take the dashboard photo for mobile check out The staff was very courteous. It is not their fault

The location is very convenient and the staff was friendly. It was difficult to find a place to park the vehicle upon drop-off and to navigate the tiny gas station filling area. If there was anything to do I'd reserve more spots on the parking strip across the street for storing the UHaul vehicles.

Staff were responsive and helpful when we were running late for pick up. But location didn't have the utility dollies that I'd requested which really slowed things down for us and made things difficult when moving heavy items, and which I still got charged for.

The location was small and crowded but I guess being on Manhattan that is to be expected. The problem was that the truck was delivered with only a quarter tank of gas so I had to navigate the crowded gas station immediately before I could comfortably set off on my move.

I would not recommend Uhaul for your Moving experience. I flew into NYC on a tight schedule to pick up a confirmed U-Haul truck at the Bronx location (383 Grand Concourse) for a Monday 7 AM rental. I had spoken with a representative who assured me trucks were available. However, I was later contacted by dispatch and told—falsely—that no trucks were available in the Bronx and I’d need to go to a Manhattan location (Shell Gas Station, 3260 Broadway). This was incredibly frustrating as I had seen multiple trucks parked at both locations. I even took photos between 9:30–11:00 AM to document that the trucks were not being moved. Despite my urgent need, especially as I was returning to Florida for a family funeral, I was told trucks wouldn’t be available until noon, contradicting the original confirmation. When I finally picked up the truck, the staff at the Shell location provided poor customer service—handing me keys with no walk-through, just telling me to download the app. After a long trip, the drop-off location was incorrect, and once again, I had to handle the inspection myself while the staff refused to assist. Now I’m being charged extra despite the truck being returned clean and refueled, with two witnesses and photos to confirm this. This entire experience felt like a tactic of misinformation and falsification, which is deeply concerning and unacceptable. I will be seeking legal advice and do not recommend U-Haul for any moving needs.

This was the second location that I visited. The first location in the Bronx told me at the start time of my reservation that they did not have a truck available for me, which was a major stressor. This 3260 Broadway location did have a truck and was able to get me into it last minute, which was great. They did not have any of the equipment I had ordered, which I suppose is understandable, but I did have to drive to another location in the Bronx afterward to get that equipment. All in all, 3 U-Haul locations delayed our move but ultimately got us where we needed to go. This 3260 Broadway location was the best of them all.

Van was practically new (less than 2000 mileage) and clean. The problem was the tires - as soon as I got out on the highway a message on dashboard said left rear tire was under-inflated. This should have been noticed before I was given the keys. I eventually got to a service station and tried to inflate it. When I got to my destination I parked and loaded van. Next morning I came out to find tire completely flat. Fortunately your Roadside Assistance connected sent Charles from Dutchess Tire Center and replaced tire. He was great! Took about 2 hours because he had a long way to travel to us.

Make sure to have the staff to check the vehicle with you. The mirror on the truck is used was very loose and as I drove i had to keep stopping to adjust the mirror. As I hit bumps along the road the mirror moved. No ther issues to report. Aslo if you can schedule the vehicle for the day to avoid paying $41.00 additional for anytime over your scheduled time.

Not really sure. Booking my rental online was really easy. Using the app after getting the keys to verify the condition of the truck, as well as checking it back in for drop off was convenient for bing such a busy location. There is not much room for the U-Haul office that is shared inside of the Shell station, however I’m not sure how that could be improved.

Super easy to rent, perfect location for me, and great prices and availability last minute. Would be great if you could vacuum out/ clean up the trucks - it was pretty dirty and gritty and sticky in there.

This location opens at 9:00 A.M. but on the U-Haul app you are able to make a reservation for earlier than that. I had to wait around for 45 minutes for the location to open in order to get my key. The app should reflect the actual business hours of this location.

When I dropped off the vehicle I asked the attendant to confirm the vehicle was in good condition which he did. Several hours later I was hit with a $120 “missing item” fee. Why did he not let me know while I was literally standing next to truck for 20 minutes ? Had he told me I would have explained I never received the hand truck and it would have saved me from spending 20 minutes with customer service trying to get a refund.
