They should be more upfront with prices and and information I sent my family to pick up our truck and they basically wouldn’t give him the truck if he didn’t add insurance even though I declined the insurance on the reservation the guy I spoke to was very rude and brushed me off when I ask him to break down and explain the pricing

Laura SWhen I found the U-Haul truck I was using, both the driver and passenger doors were left unlocked meaning passerby’s were able to camp out inside…and it looked like it. Filled with half consumed food and drink packaging, dirty forks, plastic bags, etc. I spent 30 minutes getting everything out. Additionally, the truck bed still had several items inside. This usual was either not cleaned between users or was allowed to be made dirty by non-users. Lastly, it was hard to find a place to park it. There were no designated drop off points so I added a mile and a half just circling to find a spot. Not convenient at all

JUAN CCustomer Service is lacking. You walk into a deli where the cashier calls someone from the back who makes us wait so we go into the back and we find Cindy who seems annoyed that we went to find her. Cindy seemed generally annoyed that she had to take care of us. Why?
EVAN KParking situation is chaotic and cramped, check in took way too long (almost 45 minutes), rental dolly wasn’t placed in van, only one attendant for UHaul is overworked so there is a long wait.

GERSON EThe vehicle had a very strong smell of urine. The passenger door was malfunctioning. The reservation was placed under another's name by Ms. Rosales in spite of my attempt to correct it at the time of booking. The vehicle was not inspected at point of pick up. The telephone number used to make reservation was unknown to agent and was from a different area code. Poor logistics. Very unprofessional. Agent took pictures of both sides of my driver's license with his personal cell phone. Vehicle odometer was not displayed.
MICHAEL SI declined the insurance since I am covered with both my credit card and personal auto insurance. When I was checking out I was charged for the insurance and the clerk told me she couldn’t reverses it.

RAYMUND GThere were no utility dollies at the Manhattanville U-Haul location when I picked up my rental van, which was incredibly inconvenient as I was moving into a 6-story walk-up. Also dangerous for my back. I called U-Haul customer service to see if I could rent a dolly from another U-Haul location in Manhattan, and customer service transferred me to the wrong numbers twice, including to a random woman who doesn't work for U-Haul - she said "yeah I get calls all of the time from people thinking I work from U-haul." Also, the website wouldn't let me log in that day (it wouldn't send me the one-time code even though I entered my phone number correctly) and the app kept crashing. I ended up renting a dolly from Lowe's. I'm amazed I was able to move in despite all of the obstacles that U-Haul presented me.

Antoine CLocation discourages one way trips, although having multiple trucks for use, none were scheduled for my one way trip. There was NO EQUIPMENT PADS OR UTILITY DOLLIES available although I paid for them. This may be a corporate issue, if that’s the case ignore my complaint for this specific location. However, no truck that was sent shouldn’t have any equipment readily available if another team drops the ball massively.

Robert EI submitted an order for a cargo van with blankets and a furniture dolly. However, the location was unable to provide a cargo van (only had a 10 footer) and also did not have any dollies of any kind available. UHaul should not have let me reserve those things if they weren't available at that location. Additionally, there were no blankets. Nevertheless, the service rep was professional and the location was convenient.

JOHN Wwait time to be helped took over 30 minutes as there was 1 customer in front of me and they had some issues/concerns. Also, two out of 3 times the equipment i reserved wasn't returned on time, and forced me to take a larger truck.
CHRISTOPHER RThey don't pick up the phone or their number doesn't work. The agent at the location was efficient; pick-up was pretty was simple. Mobile checkout was easy as well but a little tedious because you have to take pictures of everything. And because the Uhaul location was at a gas station, it was super convenient to fill up the tank before returning the car.
JOANNE JI got charged more than what I was expecting and then the quotes keep changing. They said I was good. Then charges me 20 for gas after.
