I declined the insurance since I am covered with both my credit card and personal auto insurance. When I was checking out I was charged for the insurance and the clerk told me she couldn’t reverses it.

RAYMUND GThere were no utility dollies at the Manhattanville U-Haul location when I picked up my rental van, which was incredibly inconvenient as I was moving into a 6-story walk-up. Also dangerous for my back. I called U-Haul customer service to see if I could rent a dolly from another U-Haul location in Manhattan, and customer service transferred me to the wrong numbers twice, including to a random woman who doesn't work for U-Haul - she said "yeah I get calls all of the time from people thinking I work from U-haul." Also, the website wouldn't let me log in that day (it wouldn't send me the one-time code even though I entered my phone number correctly) and the app kept crashing. I ended up renting a dolly from Lowe's. I'm amazed I was able to move in despite all of the obstacles that U-Haul presented me.

Antoine CLocation discourages one way trips, although having multiple trucks for use, none were scheduled for my one way trip. There was NO EQUIPMENT PADS OR UTILITY DOLLIES available although I paid for them. This may be a corporate issue, if that’s the case ignore my complaint for this specific location. However, no truck that was sent shouldn’t have any equipment readily available if another team drops the ball massively.

Robert EI submitted an order for a cargo van with blankets and a furniture dolly. However, the location was unable to provide a cargo van (only had a 10 footer) and also did not have any dollies of any kind available. UHaul should not have let me reserve those things if they weren't available at that location. Additionally, there were no blankets. Nevertheless, the service rep was professional and the location was convenient.

JOHN Wwait time to be helped took over 30 minutes as there was 1 customer in front of me and they had some issues/concerns. Also, two out of 3 times the equipment i reserved wasn't returned on time, and forced me to take a larger truck.
CHRISTOPHER RThey don't pick up the phone or their number doesn't work. The agent at the location was efficient; pick-up was pretty was simple. Mobile checkout was easy as well but a little tedious because you have to take pictures of everything. And because the Uhaul location was at a gas station, it was super convenient to fill up the tank before returning the car.

MALICK NI reserved a van. my reservation was relocated specifically to a new location so that I could get a van. i spoke to someone on the phone at length to confirm all of this. I went across the city to this location to be given a 10’ packer truck instead which was a major issue for my plans. the truck was old and in poor condition. the gas was also much less than shown on the reservation. this was an extremely disappointing experience.

Charles CThere's always a long line inside. I usually try to complete my booking online but when there's an issue or I have an inquiry, you have to go inside and wait online which can take on average, 15 - 30 minutes to speak to a representative. That's valuable time going to waste.
