I gave this location a great rating because of the staff there, but my reservation was supposed to be picking up a vehicle in my city, and this location was 35-40 minutes away from where I was. The extra cost in gas on top of the time it took to go all that way to pick up the truck and come back. I only had a few hours notice to rework my plan. This was not fair by UHaul, and ended up costing me more because of their location change last minute.Kristopher D.

I reserved a 15' foot truck and trailer over a month before my move. The frustration of acquiring the equipment on that day was overwhelming. Luckily this location looked out for me, eventhough I had to drive over an hour to get the equipment.Stacey B.

I would suggest you pickup/drop off where there is a staffed office open. For me, the Truck Share 24/7 seemed like a great idea, but if you are not tech savvy and able to trouble shoot internet connection problems, don't use this feature.Julie W.

Mileage charges are wrong. No dollies on truck but I was chargedKrystal H.
The location was 65 miles one-way from the house in Suffolk. It took a total of 3 hours round trip to get this vehicle. This 130-mile trip added an additional 3 hours to my trip back to Georgia, which was 10.5 hours. Background On Wednesday, July 14th, I called the Chesapeake facility where I had scheduled the original pickup. She told me they would not have any inventory on the weekend. She put me in touch with the Regional Manager whom I talked with on the 15th. He assured me there would be a truck at a nearby location, or he would contact me. Friday night, I get a text message while driving up from Georgia that my reservation was ready. When I look at it, I discover it is in Naggs Head, 65 miles from the desired location. I called customer service around 7:15 AM, and the lady told me that's the best U-Haul could do. Then she proceeded to tell me if I can't get to the facility by 8:40, someone could book the truck. I told her I was 1.5 hours away. She said the facility was closed, and I would need a remote pickup. Luckily, when I got there, the facility was open. The people at this location were very nice and took care of me.Charles J.

The dolly I ordered wasnt in the truck. The site was rural with poor cellular service - it took an hour to get the "virtual login" to work. Very frustrating. Didn't have any contact with the faculty, my issues were with the virtual system.Mark S.

Have employees know exactly the hours of the other locations before telling the customer that the pickup is open when in fact it was closed. After driving from Florida to p/u a trucking NC only to be told thr location was closed, I went ballistic. To tell me I didnt have as truck after I made the reservation was incompetent on y'alls end. By the point I was already in SC. This is unacceptable. Fortunately the guy in NC opened up his store just to accommodate me. In end did get truck but after yall gave me a heart attack.Tracy W.

I reported the leaky cab to this location this morning. This rep, "Jonathan", was extremely helpful, especially in light of not having correct information from Uhaul for their location's drop-off procedure. Customer service rep (on the phone) "Travis" needs some serious training. Very little of the info he told me was accurate, the rate had to be adjusted after listening to my phone call to book the truck, and it went on and on with problems. I would have called back today, but don't have 25-35 minutes to do so while at work. And all of this resulted in my getting 2 hours of sleep last night to work all day today.
