Have online and telephone recognition that this is not a site that a customer will deal with a real person. That it is a U-Haul app site only. Rental truck had effectively no suspension, pulled to the right, engine revved strangely with little to no change of speed, noise in the cab was very loud (road noise, engine noise, traffic noise, etc) Equipment requested was not in the truck and was not notified by the person on the phone that the requested equipment was not available at the site. The originally agreed upon pickup location was not where the truck was picked up. It was changed afterwards to South Branch Garage. U-haul needs to also email customers not just text/phone them.Lori C.

Y0u can make sure there is a functioning padlock on the truck and key is in the back of the truck not in drop off box. It was ridiculous and exhausting experience being stuck at the location trying to open the padlock and not finding the key in the back of the truck. I don't recommend uhaul to anyone and will not use it again. It was waste of my time and money as I missed my pickup and was late moving out. I would keep the truck for 24 hours but ended up returning in 5-6 hours. You should improve your service to keep customers. Also call centre workers told me that a manager would call me. Nobody called whatsoever. It is difficult to think uhaul is a big company and working professional manner. Again you lost a customer and I will post this on Google review as well. We returned the truck same day to the end location and was closed at 4pm then get told after by customer service that they no longer accept equipment at the location and the deposit I gave in cash cannot be refunded a regional manager by the name of Steven Smithers said that I have to now wait 2 weeks for a cheque to be mailed to me...Money I needed for the first months rent in my new place, none of which was explained to me when I rented the truck, I asked for a etransfer and he said that isn't possible. This is horrible customer service, very misleading. Consumers be aware!Jason C.

The safety chains were not put on properly. I understand they are supposed to be twisted so the excess chain does not drag on the ground. This was not done, so one of the chains broke due to friction on the road and the other was close to breaking. Fortunately I had purchased the $50 insurance plan and was able to go to a UHaul garage in St-Basile, NB to get the chains replaced. Fortunately it didn't take long, but it does create a safety hazard if the chains are not put on properly.William C.

Friendly and helpful people where we picked up. They attached the trailer for me. My problem with the trailer was that it was not watertight. Water not only came in around the door, but also through the roof. Do you track these issues?william C.

The South Branch Garage was the pickup spot. Very polite and customer friendly. Did a tire change upon inspection when the truck was returned by the previous renter. Special Kudos to the 2nd Street East location in Cornwall, as if it were not for Wanda and Patty there, we would not have had a truck at all. Head Office arbitrarily cancelled our reservation and confirmation number, although the system twice accepted our reservation request through their location. Wanda pursued the matter with HQ and we got our truck 'at the last minute' so to speak. No Kudos to the Seaway City U-Haul Storage location who informed us a few days before we needed it that we did not have it and advised that somebody made a mistake and it wasn't them (or 'us' as they put it) and dropped the matter with a too bad so sad attitude. Kudos to U-Haul overall for having the best truck rental rate, best included mileage policy and one way accommodation. Requested 15 footer and with none available was upgraded to 20 footer at no extra charge as per U-Haul policy. Thank you. No doubt three reasons why U-Haul is #1. Always use you 'guys and gals' including move my family to Saskatchewan in 1983 and back to Ontario in 1985. By the way, South Branch mentioned their might be some rebate amount if we dropped the truck off before the three day use limit. We drove up Friday and dropped the truck off in Guelph 199 Richmond Rd., shortly after hours (just after 9 pm) same day, though the office there didn't record it until the following morning.
