Robert MWent through mobile app for a 7 am pickup. Location called me to inform me that I had to pick up the truck by 4 pm previous day. Asked if it would affect my bill and was informed that it would not if I returned the vehicle within 24 hrs. I did this and was still charged the extra day. Vehicle wasn't swept out upon rental. Uhaul won't be receiving a favorable rating or feedback.
MICHAEL CNext renter was waiting for the truck when we arrived. The next renter came out to the truck while we were gathering our belongings and requested the key. Clerk just verified the next renter had the key and did not offer any receipt of return to me. I had to ask if I was going to see the return on my U-Haul app.
Vickie CWas not explained to me that "Drop off" means that they do not touch the rented materials. So in Portland staff who rented me the vehicle trailer and attached my vehicle, did not share that at the drop-off I would have to remove my vehicle alone and know how to do it alone, and that drop-off personnel are not trained in this manner.
AHMAD JNot helpful, wanted me to wait an hour for brother to return. Left and went shopping, came back and was told to wait for brother to get back. Had to called 800 uhaul number to get it resolved. Brother came back and was helpful in getting trailer off car. NEVER going back to those guys for ANY reason.

Jeffrey TThe problem isn't the location, it's UHaul as a company, but no option was available to rate UHaul, the company. We had our reservation moved from La Grande to Pendleon, then to Hermiston with 41 minutes' notice. Then when I wanted to return the equipment to La Grande, as per our original booking, it took me a lot of effort to make that happen. Without Gavin's help we'd have been further inconvenienced by having to return the equipment to Hermiston. As a company you should have procedures in place to make it a fulfilling customer experience and so that we're not put out by UHaul's rigid policies. I get that from your side the equipment was returned to a different location but that's not an issue I caused and you shouldn't pass the problem onto the customer, you should work to fix the issue. The book "Moments of Truth" from the 1990s is a book UHaul directors should read and apply - it would fix the problem and the sour taste left by renting from UHaul.
CARL WRented unit from 10:30 till 3:30 drove 75 miles and was charged for 102 and that returned at 5pm , and put more gas in then what was provided upon pick up . Very disappointing was expected to get a small van , did not have van had to drive 10ft box van instead . And got over charged unit was dirty .
Alan WShowed up within their working hours, no one answered their front door. I had just filled the truck with gas to 3/4 which is what it was when picked up. I was charged an additional $30 which is completely wrong but had no one to dispute this rip off.

Steffanie PThis is no reflection on the pick-up location in Hermiston, they were great. This review is about U-Haul and the reservation system. I made a 10 foot truck rental to be picked up in Pendleton OR. I received a call from U-Haul the afternoon prior to picking up the rental, saying there was no 10 foot truck available at my preferred location. If this was the case then it should not have been an option to chose when I made the reservation. They then told me there was a truck available at a location approximately 10 miles outside Pendleton at PJ's Truck Repair and that I would have to do a mobile phone check out. When I got to this location I was not able to do the mobile phone check out as PJ's did not set up the rental for this process and they were not open. I then called U-Haul and then had a 15 truck in Hermiston, which was 20 plus mile the opposite direction of Pendleton. This constant mess up on my reservation by U-Haul and its affiliates added time to an already long day driving in hazardous road conditions.

douglas wThe owner of the establishment was absolutely wonderful. Just moved here and still figuring out the area. He helped me get a taxi back home after dropping off the u-haul. This guy was very helpful and made the experience easy and I felt very welcomed.

Thomas SI was supposed to drop the trailer off at a different location but they were closed and there was no way I was going to leave it there without a way to prove it in case it was stolen so I had to take it to another location.

ROBERT FThis is the worst truck I have ever gotten from u-haul. I have rented several times in the past and been very happy but this was not one of those times. The truck leaked and several boxes were soaking wet. It also had no power and would top off at 50 mph on steep hills along with a very bumpy ride.

Ken AThe pickup site was good. The business was cold inside and no heat. After the transaction, I realized I had given my personal card by mistake instead of my company card and went immediately back in. He said I could switch cards when I dropped it off. Wrong. My personal card had already been charged when I dropped off the trailer and could not be changed.
julie jThe uhaul I rented ran good and was somewhat clean. More so my complaints are for paying $224 to rent the uhaul that came with 147 miles from the destination I was leaving from to the uhaul place I was suppose to return it to...I feel like that should have been accounted in for being able to take my stuff to where I was moving to and than dropping it off but the miles weren't so at the end of returning it I was charged an extra $60 on top of what I paid in the beginning and having to fill the tank to get it back to the gas it had in it which was $100.00 so my renting of the uhaul and gas to fill it was $385.00. Talk about burning a whole in your pocket.
