Larry SmithDrop off location spider invested. Charged a 25 dollar cleaning fee for a broken coat hanger in the truck, on top of 25 dollars for four gallons of gas. I turned the truck in a day early as well. I am disgusted with the costumer care.
chandra SaundersStateline was not the location I was initially given. I was instructed to return my rental to a different location in Elizabeth City. When I wento the location within the time frames specified, there was noone there to take the rental. I called U-haul and they sent me a link detailing how to return a motorized vehicle. I had not rented a truck so the video was pointless. I knew that Stateline was a U-haul location and requested permission to return the trailer there. Permission was granted however when I got there the person in charge stated that I needed to pay an additional fee. I fortunately had my paperwork showing that I had paid in full and the rental was not late. He called U-haul which could not explain why the charge was showing but confirmed that I didn't owe anything. It took them and me 30 minutes to agree that I didn't owe anything although the additional charge hdn't been removed. Stateline took posession of the trailer and I left, leaving them to work it out. I still haven't been informed why.

AVIS BURTONMain issue: Inside of truck smelled of urine. When I picked up truck at 9am to move family's furniture to Raleigh Durham I noticed a smell. Later that evening when I was placing stuff inside cab the smell was stronger and that's when I found out it was urine. I have a blue light flash light that detects urine and I found urine all over the floor inside the cab. I took images with my phone and spent approx 1 hr using an enzyme cleaner to clean as much as possible. Also, the floor board just inside the engine compartment inside cab was wet and I didn't notice this until later that evening while I was cleaning. Also, there were so many bugs on the windshield that it was rather annoying so I had to clean that as well.

Marnie GallopCustomer lives in Virginia and was told to pick up transport trailer from NC. That’s poor customer service, U Haul should coordinate with pick up side in VA or at least give the customer a discount, since he has to drive to NC to pick up the transport trailer.

Anna BrickeyThe guy that was there was only filling in for someone that was sick and he told me that he could not check the trailer in and that whenever the guy felt better and comes back to work that he will check it in. I called this location and left several voice mails the day I rented the trailer to see what the check in process was because I wanted to return it the same day that I got it and no one answered and to top it all off the drop off app that u-haul has wasn't working correctly and would not let me check it in and Tuesday when I called the customer service number I was on hold for 36 minutes and the phone system said it was having issues and hung up on me. Overall the phone service and check in process was terrible and makes it kinda iffy for me to want to rent from u-haul again.

Harriet CokerI have always dealt with UHAUL for my moving needs and never experienced any issues. Usually upon picking up the vehicle or trailer I or my husband show I.D., asked about insurance, view the item, are told the rules, regulations, etc., and I’m out the door. I ordered with this particular location and the attending person gave my husband hell. He told us that we had to rent the signal light pieces for the trailer which had never been asked for before even though we had our tow kit. He continuously asked for references; numbers for other persons associated with us. My husband actually had the mindset to just purchase the light bolt for $12 at an auto store for the trailer instead of renting it for an extra $25. The attending individual questioned my husband so much to the point that I told my husband on speakerphone that if the attending person where to have him call me one more time regarding a simple pickup that there would be trouble! After that, the trailer was released. I really need to move my son that day who is in the military and depending on his orders, has to move his stuff, although minimal at a drop of a hat. This location frustrated me and my husband so bad that we will not do business with them ever again.

Danny SawyerOriginally, the online order identified a different location. Upon arrival, it was evident the location did not have the requested trailer. A call to U-haul 800 Number led me to a pleasant call taker. After a few inquires, she was able to identify a trailer, although much larger than needed, that I was able to use for the short time line.
