You folks really need to amend your litres needed estimates on your contracts - rented a cube van with half a tank in it - suggested amount of fuel to bring it back up to half tank on return was drastically incorrect - ended up returning the cub with almost 3/4 of a tank in it after refilling using the suggested amount very accurately - gas money out of MY pocket, and ZERO recourse for adjustment on bill for rental NOT IMPRESSED - vehicles should be full on pickup so that "customer" can refill to full for return - period

PETER Cthe computer system was down so the attendant told us we were on our own, he couldn't and wouldn't help us. He threw us a phone number and sais call it and do what they say, download an app, and work it out ourselves. It was pour service, we were not happy.
Richard DThe entire uhaul system was down in BC when I went to collect a reservation for a car trailer from my home town Sooke location at 8.00am. I had to drive nearly two hours to Duncan to collect another one that I still couldn't pick up until around 1.00pm. I incurred significant expenses with time and extra gas and worse still a hefty surcharge for a one way rental. I am extremely disappointed and would like to see compensation for the above. Alana MI rented a tandem trailer to pick up a hottub. The previous renter used it for fireood or tree limbs. It's not good customer service when the customer has to clean the trailer before use. Other than that all was fine. Person in the office was courteous and helpful.

CHI LTrailer towed great, and got the job done. Staff member was friendly and helpful, 10/10 would recommend renting from this location.
JUSTIN RPick up and drop off and reservation was smooth and easy. The vehicle was quite dirty on the outside and inside the truck box was very dirty with Pine needles and dirt. I had to clean it out before I could use it.
SHANE HThere was a tire pressure warning light on the dashboard when I collected the truck. Instead of adding air (as should have been done)or at least manually checking the pressure, the attendant just said to "ignore" it. I pointed out that the tire was riding lower than the others, but again he simply blew it off, saying "it will get better when it warms up". I think both of these actions could have resulted in a catastrophic blow-out, but at the very least, it is causing significant premature wear on the tire, creating unnecessary repkacement costs. When is returned the vehicle, I again advised the attendant of the warning message, and he blew me off by saying "those TPMS are always failing" I think some additional training is in order for your staff.

Brian HWas told that I could drop the rental trailer in the evening, instead of the following morning with no mention of a AFTER HOURS SERVICE CHARGE. I was BLIND SIDED, with this additional charge the following day. I never received a hard copy of the contract & had no knowledge of the fee until today, the day following the rental & return.
PAUL RWhen I asked for a printed copy of my final invoice the employee swore at me (multiple times & used homophobic slurs) and told me to get out of the office. He then used threatening physical behavior to force me out of the building.
MICHAEL RThe truck size we reserved weeks in advance was not available, the dollies we reserved were not available, we were charged an "after hours" fee because we were told to use the app and the app would not work, truck we received had 1/4 gas and were charged nearly 70$ for gas.
SHAYDELL MPre trip the equipment prior to the customer showing up to get the rental. My issue was resolved quickly, but a pre trip inspection would have made the pick up much more seamless.

Brian NI ordered a 4X10 trailer and it wasn't there on my arrival. Uhaul did not phone me before I left to pick up the trailer. I was offered a 5X10 at the SAME PRICE as the 4X10. I hesitated because I only wanted a 4X10 for two small items and having to travel far with it I would have preferred the lighter weight. However, Uhaul charged my credit card for the 5X10 and it was over 500$. Very disappointed. At least they could do is honour the quote and their promise to only charge me for the trailer I ordered.
CARRIE WI think it’s ridiculous you charge an administrative fee for after hours return. The APP is horrible and not user friendly. Couldn’t find the link to fill in the after hours information you required. How convenient for you to just charge my visa the fee. Also, $1.10 km is also outrageous. I’ll think twice before renting a u-haul again.

RICHARD GStaff at this U-Haul location are particularly friendly and quick. It took maybe two minutes to pick up my truck. Great way to start a moving day.
RYAN JThe truck was clean for the most part although there was spilt coffee all over inside the passengers door. If I had been carrying a passenger with me then it would have been an issue. Attendant was friendly and curious and answered all of my questions.

CLIFFORD BLast minute We could thanksfully upgrade from a 15‘ to a 20‘. That was a Great work and help from Jim. Very helpful and friendly guy. Thank you. Just one thing. The calculated millage from Uhaul from the system wasnt enough for our one way route. We had to pay an extra 25.- on top. Could be better.
ADRIAN MHave an issue re. billing. My Visa seems to have been charged for 2 rentals (different amounts) on the same day. Will visit the location tomorrow to resolve.

DANA THowever the 24/7 program is overly complicated and did not function easily . Had to be guided through it by a service rep. Using a cell phone for this is not easy.
William WI ordered a 10’ and got a 15’. Which made my bc ferries reservation incorrect costing me an extra $134. I had reserved many weeks in advance and should of gotten what I wanted.

DANA TTrailer was booked ahead of time (4-5 days). On date of scheduled pickup trailer was not available. Was given a smaller trailer that required repairs before departure. This delayed me.

SANDRA ZDidn’t explain anything to us. If I hadn’t asked, I wouldn’t have known how to access the link and take the pre-photos. I didn’t complete the post-photos because I didn’t even realize it was an option until after I had already dropped the keys off—again, something I had to figure out on my own. It would have been helpful to be informed of the full rental and return process ahead of time.
BRONWEN SMobile pickup is worst. I am on call from last 30 minutes to get a key for the truck i reserved. No key still on hold. And I am paying for this time as well.
Malkit SOvercharged for an extra day after the UHaul reservation system sent us to a location that no longer exists, and we had to call in and were redirected to this one after the next option was even farther away. The UHaul scheduler said they would adjust the reservation...but either they did not, or the dropoff location ignored it No one is going to convince me we used over $100 in fuel driving under 200km. We put in $55 to bring it back to the dispatched level (between 1/2 and 3/4), and they charged us for an additional $47 in fuel. Will never use this location again. Should have read the online reviews and avoided it. If the mistaken charges are not reversed, we won't use UHaul again, and will share our experiences widely.
JOHN SI was quoted $1.10 per km when I picked up the van. When I returned the van, she told me it was $1.19 per km! I asked why I was paying 9 cents more per km than she quoted me, she got irritated. I asked why she was giving me attitude when I am just trying to figure out as the customer, why the rate is different. Then she said I don't know, they change it all the time, but that's what the computer is saying!! Very angry at ne. I WAS SHOCKED at the behavior and I raised my voice back at her that I was going to contact custimer aervice. She said " get out, don't evwr come back and fuck you!". I COULD NOT believe it! Then I get back to my husband's truck and she comes running out of the building and throws a toonie towards our vehicle still.screaming at me! I will never use u-haul again and she shoukd be disciplined and made to take anger management course! Horrible experience
SHELLEY TTwo of your employees gave me misinformation about the trailer I needed based on the dimensions of a cabin I was moving. The opening of the trailer was not large enough and I was told by two employees that it was. I then contacted Shawn, the Area Field Manager Vancouver Island South, who was ABSOLUTELY NO HELP and REFUSED to answer my email. He REFUSED to listen to my actual complaint about two employees giving me misinformation. I expect employees at a moving company to know more about their products than me. Apparently Shawn disagrees and expects customers to know more about Uhaul equipment than Uhaul employees. I WILL NEVER USE THIS UHAUL COMPANY AGAIN.
Lisa CLocation was closed by the time I was done unloading the uhaul. If the check engine light wasnt on and having to switch uhauls I probably would have made it on time and avaoided the $20 off hours drop off charge

Overcharged in three different ways including what was supposed to be an apology voucher for the first of two inconveniences (regarding inability to both properly pick up and drop off after hours on two different occasions) which was charged to instead of removed from the total. An unnecessary inconvenience. Local support unavailable. Don't bother.

MICHAEL YThe app didn't work on my phone (not this location's fault, from the app reviews, it sounds like it doesn't work a lot of the time.) So I called to see if I could just come into the a store to pick up my keys. The guy on the phone told me to use the app and I again told him it didn't work, and that it wasn't even letting me create an account. I had to explain a couple of times to him that it wasn't anything I was doing, it just didn't work. He finally said I could come pick them up in the store, but when I dropped off the vehicle, it wouldn't be open. So I asked how to drop off the keys after hours and he told me to just go on the app and return it there, and I again had to tell him that I didn't have the app. So after we figured out that I was going to just leave the keys in the box, he then said, "Oh, I don't have the dolly you asked for", and I said, "Oh, ok, that would have been helpful to know before" (as it was a couple hours before my pick up time), and he just said, "yeah" in a monotone voice. So they were just going to let me get there without knowing that I didn't have the dolly I needed to move my furniture, and didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with not informing me of that. And to just say a monotone "yeah" was honestly so bad it was funny at that point. I don't expect employees to be overly polite, I don't even need them to be polite at all, but not caring enough to even inform me of an item that would obviously be needed for moving, was just wild to me. I'm glad I called and was able to make other arrangements, what a disappointment all around.
NICOLE DI was very happy with the Young man who has assisted Me on a number of occasions with the rental of a van or a box truck. He is very efficient, great communication, and knowledgeable about all the services and products offered by Uhaul. I am always pleased with My transactions with this location. I highly recommend as the prices are so much more reasonable and affordable than Budget that charges $150 per day for a panel van versus Uhaul $19.99 for the very same sized panel van. Priced for the everyday Person, not the wealthy!

ROBERT DWe showed up after booking truck and 2 dollies 6 weeks before move day . We got 2 confirmations and thought we were set to go . Upon arriving we didn’t have dollies and there was nothing they could do to make that happen . The guys just said they never got dropped off at that location. We had a few super heavy things that required them . Anyways super frustrating way to start the day:(
