CATHERINE JThe day of the rental, I was told it was going to be 30cents per mile/km. I had the truck for a day and a half, and used just alittle under half tank of gas. I asked the person in charge how much is it going to be in total, he said 220$ because there’s a 99$ dollar fuel charge. He insisted on cash, so I went back and got cash, upon returning to the store the price had suddenly jumped to 304$?!? Looking at the receipt I was charged 2.07$/km or mile. Not impressed with U-Haul at all. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with such poor service.
Shane MJoe was absolutely amazing when I came in on May 9th to pick up a truck and trailer going one way to Alberta. He took the time to help and explain everything about the transport trailer. Joe deserves a huge credit. He does his job well and has fantastic customer service.

HANNAH KThey didn't have the truck available at the time and day I needed it and didn't give me the curtisy to call to let me know. The person working wouldnt bother to find a solution. I had to pay movers to do nothing that day. I also had to wait 2 days to get what I booked. Again when I arrived at the time I said I would be there to pick it up the truck was not ready! The person who works has a really bad attitude as well.
LYNETTE NYour team at this location is friendly, helpful and very welcoming. This will be my 1st choice for van rental next time I am on South Vancouver Island.
HENRY RThe only reason we put excellent was because of our Duncan branch attendant Mathis Joyal..U-Haul double booked us .. he unraveled the mess and found a solution .. because of him we are happy customers !!
BRADLY RThe driver who returned the vehicle didn’t have my phone so was unable to follow the instructions such as pictures and parking. I guess you should also have on record the phone number of the driver.
SAMUEL GTerrible attitude terrrible hours of operation WHAT KIND OF GD rental operation opens at 0900?!?!?! FFS I would have taken an earlier ferry and dropped it off at -0700. Then UHaul charged me for being 45 minutes late. Had I known I would hav ebeen screwed over, I would NOT have spent today returning it and kept it another day!!!! GET YOUR GD SHIT TOGETHER> JMR

RICHARD DMake sure that when a customer has a 5:00 pm return time, the place is open. I came back at 4:50, and no one was there. Store was closed. I was charged 20.00 late fee. Not good customer service.

JOHN S20 dollar after hour charge was applied either l without explanation. Person told me to put key in box, which I did. Charged extra for fuel despite filling exactly to where it was. I took a photo to prove and left the gas receipt in the truck. Business did not return my calls. Very very disappointed. Will warn friends, family, and tenants against using this location
CHRISTOPHER BNo vehicle inspection with sales rep, vehicle half tank of gas, major rust in most places, ramp difficult to engage, back door difficult to open and worst to close.
GARRY HI was so upset, had to pay 410$ for a 26 foot truck when I reservation a 10 foot truck for 265..I would like the difference back as it was your mistake not mine and if my husband wasn't there I would not have been even able to drive such a large truck

GLENDON SUpdate your location pin on the app. I had to go across the street to the Hot Tub place in order to start the process to unlock the the keys from the lock box. Same thing when I returned the U-Haul. Also, did not have any blankets or four wheel dolly like I had requested.
Curtis MJim is so helpful and his level of customer service is top notch. Highly recommend this location for your rental needs!

PAUL Gafter three confirmations, one from the location, and two more by phone calls received from U-haul, i still did not receive what i reserved. i was, however, able to use a bigger moving truck for more money…send like the old bait and switch
RODNEY MThe computer system was so slow that there was a huge line up. We waited 1.5 hours to pick up a truck that was already booked and paid for online. The lineup of more than 10 people could not believe that there was only 1 employee as we all felt very sorry having to deal with the glitchy computer program. Time for an overhaul of the system U-Haul

BLAIR CClerk was nice but made a mistake with our charges. We initially rented a 20 foot and went to start the truck and realized it was too big. We went back into the office and the clerk changed our booking to a 15 foot. When we got to our destination, the next day I looked at the charge on our credit card and the amount was still for the 20 foot, I called the 1-800 number and a very nice lady was able to see the mistake and we were refunded that day.

James AU-Haul scheduling and customer service made this a terrible experience for me. Staff at both locations was the only upside. Scheduling person I spoke to was rude, uncooperative and literally used the statement "you are the 1/100 that has an issue. We care about the 99" in reference to me trying to seek a compromise regarding a changed reservation.
IAN RA lot. The person who served me made a mistake and gave me the wrong products I ordered. When I returned the trailer I rented, I pointed this out to him, and he was adamant that I made the mistake, not him. When I told him that he deals with the products daily and that I depend on him to pick the correct products on the order slip, he got mad, said it was my mistake, and yelled at me several times when I disagreed with him. This was the worst service experience I've ever had, and I will never return.

GREGG PThe guy that helped me today was a breath of fresh air compared to the person I've had to deal with on a couple of occasions.the person I've deal with there before acts like its a huge inconvenience that i am there. There is no way he should have a job there. Gives U-Haul a very bad name. He must be the son or a kiss ass relative of the owner. I usually run in, drop, take my pictures and go. I do the on line drop off. This guy to day came out right away , was friendly , professional and had my recipe in hand when i was leaving . Hopefully the other guy was fired so he can’t harass anymore customers.
