My experience was not great, but this was due to U-Haul itself, not the location or it's staff. I booked for a Wednesday but the truck could not be provided on the day itself due to U-Haul servers being completely down for many hours. I lost related money on other expenses and had to reschedule an expensive ferry trip, an appointment, and the vehicle rental so they would all be on the next day instead - with no compensation for any of this expense and inconvenience. Then, upon returning the vehicle outside location hours at midnight on the day they actually could give me the vehicle, I had to verify with a photo which both U-Haul's website and the U-Haul app provided no way to upload. If I didn't, I would be charged 20 bucks in the morning for staff doing it. I returned again at 9am to prevent this further insult. So, I went to U-Haul's location four times in renting a truck once, and incurred a bunch of other expenses. All due to the inability of U-Haul HQ to support their franchise folks and their customers with enough servers and provide a properly working application for Windows/Mac OS. The U-Haul Android app also could not connect to U-Haul at ANY time during my rental. It seems to be pathetic parsimony by U-Haul causing expense and inconvenience to everyone. The location was excellent, and has always been good to me when I have had issues with U-Haul software during rentals. I hope the U-Haul outage won't happen again. Was my data at risk? Was there a Denial of Service cyberattack on that day for those six or perhaps more hours?

JOHN MARK W.When I walked into office and said I'm here to picking up a truck , his attitude was unreal and then we walked out of office he says bring truck here and I'll take lock off ? Stands to the side of stair says nothing and so I walk over to where all the trucks were in lot looking for the number that was on sheet and don't see it in the line up . So I walk back to him and said I can't find the truck , he says it on the other side of the warehouse next door and he says I go get it with attitude drives it over to office swear ing saying that it was emptied so he goes back to the office to see if there's another one way truck goes back over to get another truck. Never experienced a guy like that and I ran a company in the comox valley for 28 yrs . Plus next time I should bring my cleaning supplies too the back floor of truck was covered with dirt/rocks ect and cab windows were very dirty too . I'll go to budget next time.
David w B.First off, U-Haul should stop using gas-guzzling 8cylinder engine vans. WTH? What is that good for? The check-in system doesn't work very well either. In this particular case, the van was not swept and there was a little bit of garbage in the cabin, nothing terrible. The tank was really full this time and when i returned it full, i was not overcharged for fuel Would have loved to see the attendant have the foresight to give me a van that uses less fuel when i told them I was going to drive long distance.
Marinus V.Staff quickly cleaned the equipment. There were no surprises with pricing.
