I was told we wouldn't be charged for mileage unless we went over 100/day when I called in to extend the rental on 5/29. We had the van from 5/28-6/2. Our total miles used was 246.7. I called in to dispute the mileage charge on 6/2 and was again told it would be taken care of. Called again on 6/5 and was transferred to 5 different people with 5 different stories. Steven point blank stated on 6/5 he would not take the charge off. Perhaps if I had been able to reach him on 5/29, we could have extended the rental in person, and everything would have been clear. But you have to call a number to reach him as he is never at the location. Not satisfied with the way this was handled by UHAUL.

Making reservation and pick up was great! Steve's Auto Repair staff were super! I made reservation online and requested pickup in Goldsboro NC and drop off in New Bern NC. When I completed the reservation the reply had a note that the drop off location wasn't available or something to that effect. Hours later when I was on my way to drop off at New Bern NC, I received a text saying drop off location was in Bridgeton NC. I have used Uhaul many times and have never had a bad experience unyil this time. This cost me time and gas. Not a happy camper.

The drop off location was not open when I arrived, but I was able to make contact with Steve via phone. Also, I/We forgot to put the dolly in the truck, but I will try to drop off at Goldsboro or Greenville location as soon as possible this week.

Owner was over 45 minutes late for rental pick up, there was no gas in cargo van and it was also dirty, the owner didn’t seem to care that he had me waiting for him to arrive for my reservation, very bad business

As the customer the guy that was doing the paperwork for the U-Haul told me one price and my card was charged another price. Once I returned the Uhale he did not check it in so their for my card was charged another fee. Once someone brings the Uhale back they need to learn how to check it back in at the time it was returned not a day later.

Unfortunately got moved to this location from my preferred location. No one was present at the time I was scheduled to pick up. There was a sign on the door to call a number if no one present, so I called that number. No one answered. Called again, no one answered. Standing in the rain, I went to call U-Haul help, and happened to see a different phone number on the website, so I called this number and someone answered. He said he was 10 minutes away and apologized. 30 minutes later someone showed up. At least the truck was clean and had enough gas to get me to started, an hour behind schedule.

Steve was very professional and knowledgeable about equipment needed. I mentioned what I needed to move and he recommended the correct truck. Pick up and return was very easy and access to the lot was above average. Only issue I had was the truck seems to need a tune up, but there were no issues with the operation.

no one was at this location at my time of pickup at 8 am when they were supposed to be open. i waited 30 minutes and called the phone multiple times and no one picked up. there was also no one there at 830 am when we dropped it off. they need to update their hours if they’re not going to be open when they say they are. we had to change vehicles and we’re not able to get the equipment to move that we needed and paid for because no one was there. i will not use this location again and they should be removed from your available pick up and drop off locations.

The guy who worked at Steve’s Auto repair and sales was almost an hour late for us to pick up the truck. When he did get there it took quite some time to get the truck to go. The outside of the truck was covered in mud and he said he cleaned the inside because it had been stolen. The back of the truck smelled awful. When we got the truck we were told there was a quarter tank in it and to refill it to the same spot before return. When starting the truck to leave the tank indicated there was only a few miles left till empty so we had to go to a gas station immediately. When we went to drop off (there was supposed to be someone there till 5) at 3:30/4 there was no one there to help. Overall just made for a horrible time.

I had a big problem with the gas nozzle kicking back at the gas pump. When i called to report it they reported it as a completely different problem. They could not find anything wrong withbwhen they had there people come out to the site. Thye did put in a different U-Hall but it was not the one i order/requested for my disability. I need on with bluetooth capable do to my disablity. When they put in a new on it did not have bluetood completely and would not work for me and my needs. I had to spend all day after been up for more then 16 hours and getting only 1 or 2 hours of sleep because of this problem deal with them fixing the problem. It took about 4 or 5 hours.for them to get me the U-Hall i had to begain with that i had requested in the frist place. I have Atention deficit disorder and could not be on the road any more that day. I had to fight with all i had in me to get them to pay for a hotle for me because of the situation. I felt like i should not have to pay for the U-Hall after everything that happend. They even moved.my stuff 2 different times. Form the broken down U-Hall to they one that would not work with my disability back to they one that they brought for a location about 1 hour away.I had to call they original location i rented form to tell them i felt like i should get some or all of my mo ey back because of what when down. They where not willing to give me anythig for this. I tried to talk to the manger of tye new U-Hall and all they said is i had to to though wjere i rented it from. I also tried at the area that i ended at and they said there was nothing they could do so i never got any satisfaction for the problem

I ordered our trailer well in advance for a 10 AM pick up. We stopped by the night before to make sure everything was all set and the owner told us it would be there at 8 o’clock in the morning .Person was running late, we didn’t get the call till 11 when we were already on our way to get it. Really frustrating because it set us back over an hour. Trailed was not swept so we had to clean it.

I spoke to a representative after confirming my reservation who assisted me with finding the most cost effective options. When I arrived at the pick up location, the person on site changed my entire order and it ended up being more expensive. He debated me about the miles I would need and I ended up exceeding what he insisted upon, costing even more money. I rented from his location specifically because I needed an appliance dolly. After I paid, he informs me that he does not have one. He did call “a buddy” of his who thankfully had the dolly I needed, but then I had to drive the truck across town to pick it up (remember the lowball miles he gave me?”). The truck and its equipment were not maintained well. The interior was dirty and there were remnants of previous renters was evident in the back. The locking mechanism sticks and the ramp took 3 people to secure back in place. Prior to returning the truck I ensure I clean it out. In the cab I again found remnants of previous renters, including a brush, eyeglasses, pocket change and a receipt dating June 2024. I would not recommend renting from him. I’m not sure what his “cut” of the charges are, but to press me to change the reservation, the mileage and not being truthful about the equipment available, ultimately costing me significantly more money is not something I would encourage any UHaul renter to do.

I had requested a dolly that was not available and blankets that were also not available. The man drove the truck up to us and did not inform us there was no gas in the truck so I put $70 in to fill it up which was well over what I even used for gas. I would not recommend this place and was extremely dissatisfied.

Be available at the designated time for the rental pickup. My original pickup time stated it would be at 10:45. I received the truck at around 11:45. Had to wait for the person to arrive at the facility and the facility air quality was not a safe one for me because there was someone in the shop smoking and I am allergic it and the door from the back was open to the office so I had to wait in my car. However they did not charge for the dolly rental which was nice.

Have the person you speak with on the phone to get the truck explain the return so they're not charged another day. Have them explain the rates throughly and don't overcharge.

Have cash money that was given for the deposit readily available when the customer returns to get their deposit back Or put it on the card. AND when the purchase was suppose to bought with the card take that amount as agreed, then instead of deducting it from the deposit that was given and that was supposed to be returned to me on time. I had to go there 3 times in one day just to get $43. and some change which he actually kept the change? Never again with this dealership.
