Steve is great!
Doug FThis was the worst experience I've had renting trailers from U-haul. The U-haul systems was not working on 5/18/2026 when I picked up the car hauler so the local dealer had no idea that I had rented the trailer. The dealer took my information and let me take the trailer even though the system was down. When I returned the trailer at 6 pm the U-haul app was not working and the phone system said it would be at least a 45 minute wait. Since I wasn't able to do an after hous return check-in I took pictures of the trailer where I parked it and finally was able to reach a representative by phone at around 9 pm on 5/18/2026. The next day I had to again authorize payment for the trailer since the U-haul reservation I had never went through. These issues were the fault of the U-haul company and not the local dealer. Very terrible experience.

noah lThe pickup location was convenient but too many distraction for the owner. Very difficult to run a breakfast/lunch restaurant, small convenience store, short staffed, & rent a Uhaul truck. There were some glitches but all were politely remedied in a very timely manner. Where I was moving from was very rural & lacked any rental truck options which was unfortunate. Bethel Maine area has a lot of people moving to & from the area a great place to open up a truck rental facility. It is greatly needed.

nancy hDuring the pickup process, Carrie at Steve's Store was very helpful, and got me in and out in a timely fashion. Drop off was a breeze. I called ahead, and Steve gave clear instructions on return. The whole process was great!
JAMES BThose that represent U haul should be able to communicate with the public better. When asked questions concerning their bill, should be able to answer without being rude. Overcharging customer? If not, please explain why customers account had 2 different charges on credit card, causing overdraft fee.

Kevin Gon my reservation i opted out of insurance as my vehicle insurance covers towed trailers, but i when i received my emailed receipt i found that i was charged the insurance fee. please reimburse my credit card the insurance fee.
James GI made my U-Haul reservation on-line two weeks prior to the date I needed a truck. I called Steve's General Store four days prior to the pick up date and the store owner noted that he didn't have my on-line reservation information. Eventually, we got on the same page and I. picked up the reserved truck. I made a 6 hour drive and found the rented U-Haul truck (20 ft.) drove smoothly and effortlessly. I also appreciated having and using the ramp to load and unload my furniture, equipment, supplies.

Rebecca MWe reserved blankets so things would be protected when we moved and they had none available. They took the charge off but it would have been very helpful to have the blankets like we asked. The kids swear they rented a 20ft truck but we had a 26 ft one. I do not know if they just remembered wrong or what.
Dee RTruck was not safe. Alignment was radically off. All wheels pointing in different directions. Truck moves sideways down the road, left front on the center line, right rear on the white line. Right front headlight housing broken and swinging freely. Multiple vibration points, likely engine or transmission mount broken, also tires badly scalloped and out of balance. Cab smells of gasoline when the truck is stopped / idling. Terrifying, unsafe truck.

Wesley AGuy and family was nice .quick,funny .only problem we had is ,I asked when it should be back ,for a one day rental .he said anytime don't worry. Than we return it and he charged me for another day.......

Frank SSteve runs a perfect U-Haul rental service. I could not ask for anything more. He was communicative, timely, accommodating and the equipment was provided in a clean and ready manner. His location is a little further from my home than others but I will always go here when I need a truck or van because of the service provided!
Stephen BReserved a trailer, but trailer was not returned so had to rent a small truck. Worked great but cost $60 more than the trailer.

Steve MThe store owner (Steve) is extremely rude. I did not receive any paperwork when I rented the vehicle. It appeared as though Steve has no idea what he is doing. He does not seem interested in providing good customer service. The vehicle leaked rain inside the cargo area. Extremely dissatisfied with the overall experience. I will avoid this location like the plague in the future.
