Kauwela MThe man and woman running this business were very friendly, and I understand completely that they have only been there for a few weeks and are still getting the hang of things. However, I had made a reservation online to pickup a Uhaul, and when I showed up, no one was able to check me in. A man was there, but he said we had to wait for the woman to come back. According to the man she had a doctor appointment, but when she finally got back she had tons of groceries in her car, and explained to me that she was out getting juice. I waited for about an hour and a half past the reserved pick up time. I understand that everyone has obligations, but leaving your store completely unattended during business hours while still accepting reservations is a problem. This inconvenienced me a ton because I had rented the uhaul for the purpose of picking up furniture, and each piece of furniture was from a different city and had a meticulous pre arranged pick up time. It was very hard to get it all to work out for everyone's schedules. Thankfully the sellers were willing to work with me, and I was still able to get all of the furniture that I needed. Additionally, I didn't get home until 10pm due to this delay, which hindered me from being able to make a run to my storage unit after unloading. I don't have a truck or know anyone who has a truck, and so part of my plan with the uhaul was to pick up the furniture, and then bring some tables and chairs that I don't use to my storage unit. Unfortunately, my storage unit closes at 10, and this delay caused me not to be able to do that. And I don't have enough financial freedom to rent another uhaul, so now my house is just cluttered which is giving me anxiety. So, I spent all this money on a uhaul, and because of their unprofessional behavior, I was not even able to accomplish the purpose for renting it. In regards to the truck- it was clean, but having maintenance issues. Each time I stopped the car to pick up furniture, when I tried to start it again, I had to attempt it several times. It would sputter and not start. In addition to that, the side mirrors had to be re adjusted multiple times, as they kept wobbling out of place, which made lane changing really difficult. It was absolutely not worth the amount I paid. I've driven with uhaul at various locationsand have never encountered any of these issues. I think HR or corporate should seriously look into how unprofessional this business is.

I had rented a U-Haul from another location, but after driving only a mile, multiple warning lights came on. When I called to report the issue, I was told I could simply return the truck for a refund—even though I was scheduled to leave at 5:00 a.m. the next morning and desperately needed a moving truck. I remembered passing this U-Haul location on 410 and Myers Road and had noticed they seemed to have trucks available. I called and spoke with Sandy, who was incredibly kind and compassionate from the moment she answered. I explained my situation and told her I needed a reliable one-way truck that wasn’t old because I had just been given a faulty vehicle elsewhere. Sandy immediately reassured me that they had a truck available. She then informed me that my destination qualified for a $110 discount because it was a high-demand location. I honestly started crying with relief. After an already stressful day, it felt like an answered prayer. I told her I wasn’t sure exactly when I would arrive but would call when I was on my way. When I did, she let me know that Bob was outside personally cleaning and preparing the truck for me. That level of care and customer service is rare these days. Sandy and Bob went above and beyond to help me during a very stressful situation. Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help turned a terrible experience into a positive one. I am so grateful for both of them and highly recommend this location to anyone needing a U-Haul. Thank you, Sandy and Bob—you were truly a blessing!
