Cab of the truck reeked of damp and mold coming out of the vents. Tried to put up with it but after driving around in 90+ degree heat with the AC turned off and both windows cranked wide open, I couldn't stand it. I called the location to check if I could exchange the truck- I said it smelled like mold and he said yes I could exchange it, bring it back. When I brought it back, he took a sniff and tried to tell me â€œthat's the cleaning product we use to clean the trucksâ€œ. Are you freaking kidding me? You're going to sit there and tell me that disgusting mold smell is a cleaning product? He said all the trucks smell like that, I said â€œcan I smell the other truck? maybe it's not as strongâ€. He refused and said â€œI can't exchange it - nothing is wrong with itâ€œ. There was no apology, he was very short and did not seem to care in any way and it was obvious he just wanted me out of there as fast as possible, so I left. I wound up just going back couple hours later and dropping off the truck unused. Rental was a complete waste of money and time, I would like a complete refund- we are now one day behind in our move and that screws up a lot of things with my work schedule and my wife's work schedule and a bunch of other stuff. I have never been treated like that, I can't believe he had the nerve to try to tell someone that disgusting mold smell was cleaning product- I have never had an experience this bad in dozens of U-Haul rentals over the last 20+ years. I realize people have different levels of sensitivity to stuff like this, but to have someone just lie to my face and outraged tonight? That's outrageous and I'm STILL upset. To add insult to injury, I did stop by our storage unit so I had a few things in the back of the truck that I then had to leave at our old apartment, instead of at the new apartment. So, now we have even more to move feom old apartment than we did before we rented the smelly truck, also I'm out almost $30 in gas that I got to pay for the privilege of driving smelly truck around town. I would also like to mention that besides the awful smell in the cab, that truck is tired and maybe should be retired - there's a lot of looseness in the steering and the softish way the brakes were, I was really dreading having to drive it fully loadedERIC A.

The employees working there can use some personality. They were just matter of fact, not any smiles between the 3 of them. We filled up the gas to the spot we were told and they actually charged us $7.00 for a fraction that was ridiculous after we were already paying because we went over the mileage. We even stopped right before we dropped off to avoid paying the upcharge on the gas. I think they all could have some give and take on this. They would not budge and I think sometimes in business you want people to come back by showing a little compassion. These 3 adults should not be in this business because they do not seem to like their jobs.ELLEN V.

All personnel was great except this old men super angry and cranky and d had a super bad attitude, we were moving and the last thing you want is someone that's is extremely unfriendly and doest want to help you i don't remember he's name but he's the oldest that work there. The online self-service experience was horrendous. Payment was taken, I was asked to get the keys from lockbox, but the lockbox wouldn't open. I went inside to speak to the cashiers and they advised that they never received my order. I had to wait a full hour for the order to show up.Derrick A.

I was not informed that I needed to call uhaul to drop off my 4x8 trailer. Meantime I drove to several local uhauk and Uhaul centers. And they refused it. Literally wasted time n gas. Only if I would been given the info.CARLOS R.
I booked a truck to pick up today, I get to the location and the agent stated my reservation was not for 8/21 that it was for 8/22 I have the confirmation email to proof my pick up date but the agent declined to even look at it. Took a smaller truck. I would appreciate to receive my $50 guaranteed reservation credit for the truck not being available. Wait time was 45 minutes also. A customer ahead of me had the same problem he reserved a trailer at the same location and the guy said it not at his store and declined to look at his email confirmation.CRISTIAN S.
The â€œtruck share 24/7â€ experience needs to be improved. I don't know if it's just this location, or overall. I did the complete online check in, but I still had to go into the building, wait on a line, sign forms on paper, swipe my credit card, present my driver license, and have someone go find my truck and pull it out front. It was all fine, but it was not at all the modern app-driven experience that the website had me expecting. The late-night drop off and check out was perfect though. Note: my truck had no dolly or moving blankets available to rent, but they asked me if I needed a dolly when I went through the old-school pickup process.DANIEL Z.

If U-Haul is going to roll out online check-in, then store should know how it works. Was there for an hour because the guy didn't know how online check-in works. And I can't really blame him but more so blame U-haul as a whole. Do not use online check-in until the company has a better grasp on it.Heather W.

There are new vans. I did not have a new van and it was not great but worked well and any previous damage was clearly noted by the staff so I did not have to worry I would be charged for anything. I read another review that said they were charged for leaving items behind, so I was careful to take my empty water bottles and trash out before return. Got the job done. Return was easy. Check in a bit slow, but the employees were working hard and I think it was the slow internet. Plus they do answer the phones and in some locations they do not, so I guess the wait in person was worth it since they had answered the phone when I called the day before. All around easy in, safe place to park and easy out. I would use the location again.Jamie S.

The Lake Worth location was great but overall the experience reserving and getting our truck was a nightmare. We reserved a truck on line in the Delray location. SENOCARE. No one was available to assist us. The phone number provided routed us to Clearwater. Then Tampa. We were told to call back in 30 minutes. We reserved our truck for 8am and waited an hour and still no one was accessible to get ourvtruck. No answer on the phone...we ended up calling and getting a truck reserved at the Lake Worth location which we were relieved however we were suppose to stary our movecat 8am and ended up havevto delay 2 hours. I would NOT recommend Uhaul to anyone but if I had to I would recommend the LW location because thry were very helpful. The whole reservation and check in process was a huge obstacle and very disappointing especially with the stress of moving and bring 7 months pregnant.GRETCHEN M.
The young man in charge of the lot watched me drive up with the rental trailer as he blocked the driveway with a truck. He proceeded inside to deposit the keys and when he returned I thought he would move the truck for me to park the trailer but instead got in a car and left. I was stuck outside in the pouring rain for an hour and a half. They put the wrong key in the lock box I had to wait on hold with customer service for a half an hour. Then once I got a hold of customer service and they gave me the correct key there was a padlock on the back of the truck and there was no key for it. I got into the car to check for a key and the only thing I found were cockroaches. I had to then wait till the next day to be able to get a different truck that I could use. Which wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't have to take an Uber to and from the U-Haul and hire a babysitter it was very inconvenient and an overall bad experience. They did try and make it up to me by giving me a free day on the U-Haul but it'll still leave a bad memory of Uhaul!Jade L.

The gentleman at the counter was great. The place was very old and needed some TLC. The truck tho, crap, that thing broke down on me backing up twice. If you pushed the accelerator the a/c wouldn't blow through the cabin. The only way for it to work correctly was for you to slow down to about 40. The truck needs to be taken out to pasture, it's well past it's prime.Jason B.
