Rent from TJ's, they have great customer service there. I do appreciate that sunset was open for a few hours Friday before New Year's - but they treat you like they are the ones doing you a favorâ€¦.not like you were the ones paying them. They have the customer relation backwards. It was unfortunate for me. Also all the info listed on the U-haul's website hours was not accurate. Back roll up would not go up and down easily. It would stick really hard at the bottom. The front left side leaked wAter. They said uhaul isn't guaranteed water proof only water resistantâ€¦. Terrible. It was all caulked up, they knew it leaked and had an answer for everything! To top it off the day time running lights on the right side stopped working. A real problem when I was driving home late at night. But on the bright side at least it had good tires and rolled straight!Ira M.

Owner wasn't friendly and lied to me about whether or not I could drop a trailer from my rental contract when I rented a truck and a trailer together (but I got everything in the truck itself and didn't want to tow the trailer all the way to California from Utah). Called the 800 number and they gave me an option to drop the trailer from the contract and return it that same day.Bryce J.

The employee, Sam, first denied who he was, then admitted it when my wife showed him the contract. He then refused to get our car off the car hauler saying U Haul meant we do it all, I am 83 and cannot lift the ramps. We were told the battery in the vehicle was bad and would be replaced. So we went back home and got a battery charger to take with us. Your staff at this site was not helpful and their attitude was condescending. Certainly not what you expect in a service job. so I hung up on him and reserved via the web site.Joseph G.

The customer service was helpful. But I had made a truck reservation at another location closer to our current home and the home to which we were moving. They did not honor the reservation at the location we originally agreed upon. Instead we were told that we could rent a truck from the location on the other end of town. I asked about the extra mileage and was told I would receive a credit of 50$. I don't think I ever received it. The gentlemen at the location was not helpful. He never explained anything that was expected at return. He basically sat at his desk and told me to fill the gas and brush the truck out. I don't think he meant to but he just made me feel dumb.CAMERON B.

I received a call to "confirm" my reservation. Trucks were overbooked. So the day before my move I was wondering if I was going to have a truck or not. Then the reps system said the next best option was a truck 40 miles away. For which I would have to pay mileage two ways, find time to go get it, and spend gas to get there...on moving day and counting against my 24hrs. I had to ask if there was a different-sized truck available at the same location to not have to go with that suggestion. She was super helpful and professional, but the system has a lot of bad info. Additionally, I was given the option to check-in in person, and when I got there the location was closed. It then took a good 30 min to get through the online check-in, a process I could have completed ahead of time had that been recorded in the system. The number on the door of the business connected to someone who was super short and dismissive about the situation (not a u-haul rep). To be honest, I'll likely use another business next time.Chris C.

The hitch ruined my car I had to have the CV shaft replaced and the driveshaft needs to be replaced because it ruined the car and then try to get it towed and try to get it sent back to a U-Haul location in Sandy Utah was impossible was promised that they would come pick it up they never did and I have no idea if they did or not and there was no refund that was given to me.STEVEN H.

Rented a truck, blankets, and furniture dolly for after hour pickup. I arrived at the facility 15 minutes prior to closing to make sure I had everything I needed. The guy who was there looked up my contract and said as I had booked using an after hour pickup, he couldn't help. And he didn't. Using my phone to pick up the truck was a major PITA. It kept asking for me to log in and provide a password, which I did not have. The guy who was there was more interested in leaving than helping me. He locked and left while I was still standing in the parking lot trying to get figure out how to navigate the idiotic website using a weak data signal on my phone. I spent over a half hour on the website before I was finally approved to get the keys. I opened the truck and no furniture dolly. I was pissed. I closed up the truck, put the keys in the drop box, and left. What a disaster. I will never go to this facility again, and the whole on-line checkout is in need of serious clarification and simplification. The link for the checkout wasn't obvious, and I don't understand why I had to provide copies of my driver's license and alternate contact numbers and wait for these individuals to be called. Why couldn't this have been done when I reserved the truck? The whole process left me in a foul mood. I had to reschedule what I needed to do, and I would like to NEVER rent from UHaul again. However I still need a truck. But I may just hire a moving company. One of my worst customer service experiences ever!Kenneth C.

Just the opposite of pick-up experience. When I arrived, no one to greet me, I had to search. I identified myself. They checked their system and said I was 2 days early. They might not have space to accept. I shared I didn't have the space to keep. They said, â€œokay, back in (which would have been tough maneuvering for me), get the trailer to the dirt, take it off, and we'll find a place.â€ Well, I found a place in the back area no problem. I unhooked everything, but had trouble getting the trailer off the hitch. I went back to U-Haul garage and asked a young attendant working on his smart phone if he could help me. He did thankfully. I went back into the office to ask if anything else required of me. â€œNope.â€ I left. Not a good showing for the company in my opinion.Michael B.

The employee that helped me was incredibly rude throughout the entire transaction. He was very standoffish and took things out of my hands several times, even demanding things at times. Also seems to have changed the drop off location without informing me, leading to nearly an hour of wasted time trying to sort out the situation over the phone with customer service. This is by far the absolute worst experience with U-haul that I have ever experienced. You should be embarrassed and ashamed to employ a person such as the representative that â€œassistedâ€ me.Colby A.
