Old Run down BP in a bad area. Did know it was in that area of town. There were old worn out tents in the back parking lot. Very sketchy place, I guess U-Haul don’t care who they franchise to as long as you make money. Your name isn’t as reputable as it use too in my opinion. What really matters to me is you charge mileage and still want the gas refilled. I work for a device company and we either charge for mileage or fuel not both to me that’s double charging. I will think twice about renting from U-Haul again which you probably don’t care you got my money

U-Haul renter Was very standoff. Did not explain anything correctly to me as it was my first time renting a U-Haul and was very rude about any questions I asked. None of the prices I was told matched up that what my original quote was, on my reservation it listed that it was $73 and 99¢ per mile after turn in, the renter showed me a total price of $96 at the counter when taking the U-Haul and when I questioned it he said that “miles had to be added onto the vehicle before I even drove it”. He then proceeded to tell me that it was going to be $156, when I questioned how the price went up he stated that having it from Tuesday at 12pm to Thursday at 12pm counts as 3 days and that he had to charge me for that. I then questioned him why it went up $60 when the U-Haul was only $20 a day, he then proceeded to get very agitated with me and changed my turn in time to 11:30am on Thursday instead and threw the keys on the counter and stated that if I was even a minute late uhaul was going to charge me $150. When I returned the vehicle on Thursday I parked it at a gas pump as there was no instructions on where to park said van, he then snapped at me and stated that I can’t park the vehicle there and that I needed to go outside and move the vehicle. When I picked up the uhaul it had 15/16 of gas, when I returned it it had 13/16 and was charged $23 for that. Overall a terrible experience and I will not be renting from uhaul again, this renter should not be allowed to rent out uhaul as he is very rude and unprofessional and tried to swindle money from me and got agitated when I questioned him saying that it was “Uhaul charging me the money not him.”

The truck was not checked before we picked it up, we were not told about the fuel level and it took over 50 minutes to get our truck. When we dropped the truck back off we had to pay extra for fuel costs (we received it with less than a quarter of a tank of gas-which was ok, we were only going about 25 miles for the whole trip). The people who had the truck were not questioned at all, they just dropped the key in the night box even though it was only 2:30pm. Which is again fine, maybe they incurred charges by doing that, but it was frustrating how long it took us to get the truck initially.

This location is UNSAFE. There is a homeless encampment 10 feet from where I had to stand and take pictures of the back of the truck. Who is to keep people from taking shelter in the truck and stealing the moving blankets? There was no key Dropbox. Very shady dealings going on in the parking lot.

There was only one person working at the gas station. He was trying to serve U-Haul customers, and gas station customers. The U-Haul customers in front of me have been waiting an hour before they got there truck. I used the app and still had to wait on the owner to get me the keys. Also they did not have the blankets for padding that I ordered.
