I had this location originally, then I was told to go to another location far away in Milwaukee for my truck, when I went there they said not a one way truck, even though it said it was and then I called and was told now my truck was in Sussex at this location. The guy as Sussex says this happens all the time to everyone. get your act together Uhaul!

The truck I rented had low air pressure that required me to stop to fill the tire. The cabin contained empty candy wrappers from the last customer. The passenger side mirror was broken, rotating freely with every bump in the road, making it impossible to use and rendering the truck dangerous to drive due to the inability to view the right-side rear view.

I was robbed in this place! I will never come back! I booked a truck for 1-day as U$0.80 per miles and they charged me U$1.39 during check out!

Not only did I have to drive 40 miles away to get the truck and hauler but the guy who owns the BP gas station along with the Uhaul fraqnchise was a "one man band"! He kept having to stall the set up due to taking care of his gas station customers. I was late meeting the movers which cost me more money and time.

The drop off location is also a gas station and convenience store. It was staffed by one person and they were unable to assist with unhooking for quite some time because they had customers in the store. They did not have a jack which would have made unhooking MUCH easier. They even complained that "U-haul allows drop offs of equipment they are not set up to handle." This was the worst U-haul experience I've ever had.

Thank you for everything you did to help me get on my way today. Raj is a true asset to this business. He helped me get the wrong sized ball I had, off my hitch. I assume the woman inside who sold me the correct sized ball, was the owner, or owner's wife. I'm sorry I didn't get your name. Thank you for having the ball for purchase. Make sure to always have just the ball, and not the whole hitch assembly, as I think I bought the last one. Raj also helped me hook up the trailer. I have never seen a trailer that didn't have some type of wheel or chocking that had an adjustable arm to lower the ball on your truck. Without this, the trailer tongue must be picked up and pulled over to the ball. How is anyone supposed to do that without assistance?! Thankfully Raj was there to help me, but is he always there? It seems like these trailers should be retrofitted to be off the ground. They are very heavy! Lastly, an adapter was needed to plug the lighting harness into my truck. Having those for rent or for sale is a great idea. All in all, my experience was very positive. Again, without Raj there to help pull that tongue up, I would not have been able to hook up. I think there should be a way for the customer to do this alone, like I do at home when I hook up to my rv trailer. Thank you.

Understaffed and disorganized. He knew his system was down before I arrived but did nothing about it until after I was there. He put it on me to call the 800 number because his system was down. While I was calling, he did too and we both ended up talking to the same person in Milwaukee. She resolved his issue and therefore, mine. Unnecessarily chaotic in my opinion.

This rental center is a gas station (great for easy fill up when you drop it off!). The first person was friendly but basically didn't know much about what I should rent (haven't done this in a long time). Fortunately I guessed right, and also, the tank was full so no messing around with how much to top it off at the end.. When I dropped it off the person processed me quickly and properly credited me with using less miles than I estimated. Great place for people that do this a lot - not so much for one timers that need advice.

The Sussex wi location was great. Took me three days to find a neighborhood dealer around that was even open. You should reconsider who you have representing your company. All three locations in Hartford wi can't even be bothered to updated their store hours. Your dumb fuck app and online website tried to charge me for a location that wasn't even open. Then your sale rep sent me to a location the next day that was also closed. Do better. I will be finding an alternative to your services even if I just have to buy my own trailer. Hope your brainless ceo and corporate leaders even read this shit so you're not wasting more of my time even asking me for a waste of time survey after wasting my time for hours of pointless driving around.

Entered false mileage information upon my return. Added 206 miles to the actual odometer reading. When asked to make sure I got a refund for the missing moving blankets that I never got, I was charged for missing blankets. I was also charged double for my rental including mileage. Customers, make sure to have your own pictures to prove reality and check your receipts! Integrity and customer service is important!

The customer service at this location is completely poor and I felt disrespected. For one, the address is listed for a wrong location and the owners know this but do nothing to correct it. When I arrived to get the rental, the older woman would only speak to my wife as if I wasn't there. I checked the truck before leaving and the truck mat bag was open with one outside of it. Plus the check engine light was on. The older man that runs the store needs to learn proper customer facing. This U-Haul location is run out of a gas station, so when I was returning the rental another customer walked in. The owner continued to look at his phone and only mumbled at me with no regard for getting me taken care of quickly. The other customer came up to the counter and the owner began to check them out as if I wasn't there. I asked in a clearly irritated tone if there was anything else they needed from me and he responded that he needed to go check the gas. He finished with the other customer and walked from behind the counter and mumbled something again while staring at his phone still.. I said excuse me and he mumbled again so I didn't understand. He walked towards the door and then clearly said "come, we go check gas now". So we go to the truck, check the gas as full and then he looks at his phone without saying anything for minute and says "good to go" then walks off. I asked if I get a receipt or an email or something and he walked off waving me off like I was a nuisance without ever looking back. Not once did he make sure contact with me. I've never been treated so poorly after patronizing a local business. I will never utilize this location again. I will never recommend this location to anyone I know.They don't treat customers well and are horrible at communicating expectations.

The truck smelled like smoke and had a check engine light on, so I’d fix that

The truck rental was great. The issue I had was that I put in a reservation for an appliance dolly to ensure we could lift our fridge, deep freeze, and more. This location took that reservation and did not have the inventory to keep that equipment on our order. Not sure if they rented it out or ever had it in the first place. No attempts were made to fix it, see if another store in the area had it, or at all change the order other than clicking “delete” on that selected dolly. All I got was “we don’t have that, sorry.” I had to then go call around myself and find a comparable dolly so I could complete our move; we spent an extra $100 in the process. I will do my best to avoid this store in the future or at the very least call ahead to confirm they have the inventory they show online.

Reserving was easy. Location convenient. Big compaint is i resevred an appliance dolly, a furniture dolly and blankets. I go to pick up and there is no dollys. The truck is useless if i didnt have the equiptment to move stuff into it. The worker was trying to help but said the equipment was not guranteed but NEVER saw that when reserving. We lucked out as we were pulling out someone was returning one early. It completly lost confidence in renting from Uhaul again. That could have ruined my whole move day

Attendants were very easy to rent from. Trucks are new and clean, very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
