Alan dI registered online. You sent me the address to pick up my 20' truck and said that I HAD TO ARRIVE ON TIME; I DID. There was no truck. I called U-Haul. Prompt after prompt after Prompt I could NOT get to a real person. Plus your prompts kept reminding ME of what I had to do to make YOU happy. 10-20 minute wait when I FINALLY GOT TO A PROMPT, that let me TRY to get to a representative. Finally called back again and hit the prompt that said I had a problem while using the truck. SHE WAS GREAT. She had me go back to 1212 E Main astreet Riverhead and go inside and ask where my truck was. The guy behind the counter ACTUALLY LAUGHED AT ME and told me they delivered it to the wrong address, but refused to tell me where! The woman (from Texas) on the phone finally located a truck for me at another location but it was a 26'. By the time I got there it was 9:30. Guess what. NOBODY AT THE PLACE. I walked around the warehouse YELLING to try and find someone. I finally went into an office, WITH AN OPEN DOOR AND A GUY WHO HAD WATCHED ME FOR 5 minutes yelling for help and walking around the whole place. AN AGWAY! A FEED STORE IN A WAREHOUSE. When I finally got the truck that was too fucking big for what I needed and for me to drive frankly! The gave me NO INSTRUCTION other than "it has half a tank of gas and you have to bring it back with the same" IT HAD JUST OVER A QUARTER TANK! I returned it with half, which cost me $35 dollars when I literally when 15 miles with the truck. HE SURE CHECKED THAT TIME! IGNORED ME UNTIL HE WANTED TO "INSPECT" WHAT I RETURNED! ALSO! I got CHARGED for a 26' truck! And the LOVELY WOMAN FROM TEXAS! (SHE WAS!) told me that I would be getting a $50 rebate or something from you for my troubles. I had to park the truck in the street and move my house too it, because I have low wires and my driveway is too small for the truck. Same with the new house. So I finally got my truck at 10am. Paid the guys I hired for that hour and my $62 dollar truck cost me $120z the woman from Texas gave me a customer service number to call if I did not get the $50 discount for my troubles and I WILL BE CALLING IT TODAY. Experience?? YOU SUCK, YOU HAVE NO REAL U-HAUL" WORKERS AND SHITTY SERVICE WITH PEOPLE WHO LAUGH AT YOU WHEN THEY FUCK IP AND SEE YOU ARE UPSET AT ONE LOCATION AND IGNORE UOU AT ANOTHER. HORRIBLE!

Donna SEverything was great at this location—the issue I experienced was actually with another branch. I had called ahead requesting a trailer and was told it was not available, even though the website showed it as available and the toll-free customer service representative confirmed the same. When I spoke with the staff onsite at the Holtsville location, they insisted they did not have it, despite the conflicting information. As a result, I had to drive an additional 20 miles to the next closest location. Oh, the kicker was that it was there employee just didn't want to help me. Thankfully, that second location was excellent—efficient, helpful, and deserving of 5 stars. I just hope the inventory systems and communication can be better aligned in the future to avoid situations like this.

SUSAN CPlease have ALL the rental items that were on the reservation or at least call ahead that you don't. Had stuff that I needed for the move and they were just deleted off cause they didnt have it.
Joseph CLack of communication/care of employees made the unloading experience much more difficult than necessary. This location repeatedly told us “that doesn’t mean anything”, and pestered us about clearing out the Boxes each time we accessed. 0 stars for the “service” received.
Jasmine LYour gas return meter chart was off a bit. You got some free gas. Not a big deal, and the woman behind the desk was great.

MATTHEW NI live in east hampton and needed a motorcycle trailer for a trip I was taking. I down Riverhead to be fairly close and not too much of an inconvenience. The staff there are polite, efficient, and made the whole process very easy.
