Only one person, who wasn't there knew how to take in my rental. Was told "most people just drop it off". Finally I unhooked and was going to wait but she was there. She said that she saw me return it and she would send out an email, I didn't feel comfortable with this, but did it anyway, because I took time/date/location stamped pictures of the trailer. Sure enough, it was processed at her leisure a day late, causing me a late charge. I had to call corporate office to get a refund of my "late fee". Fortunately the woman i spoke to was great and took care of me right away.
David KWe put what we knew was the amount of gas we had when we picked it up but was charged a fuel charge. I was told that the gas was to be slightly over a 1/2 tank and we did check the needle as we finished fueling

LAURA NI dropped trailer off on Tuesday and didn’t get a receipt til Sunday. I was worried the whole time of getting an overcharge but I didn’t.

RANDOLPH GI unhooked my own trailer for the first time.
SCOTT OThe issue was that we arrived at the location we made the reservation for (1037 Elmwood Avenue, Columbia, SC 29201) but when we arrived, we were told we needed to drive 20 miles (over a half hour) away to pick-up the U-Haul at a different location (4048 Two Notch Road Gilbert, SC 29054). My son was graduating from college at USC and we had family in town for the ceremony and to help with the move from Columbia, SC to Greenville, SC. The extra hour out of our way creates serious inconvenience. I received no call, no email, no communication whatsoever to notify us of the location change. It was unbelievably upsetting to say the least. The reason I made the reservation for the Elmwood location was because it was very close to my son's house and he was waiting for us to arrive with the truck. I would like to be contacted by U-Haul management.

Kenneth DThe reservation was not for this location. When I arrived at the location of the reservation there was no trailer there for me. I had to drive 30 minutes away. The employee as 4048 two notch road was awesome. Very helpful when we decided we wanted a larger trailer.

Chris MPicked up the truck. First problem was that no one there knew very much so I had to order online even though I was at their facility. Then I had to wait around for whoever to get back to them by phone. After that, I went out to get truck. After the rigarmarole of getting the truck ordered and finally getting the keys, I forgot to check the fuel level until I got about a quarter mile from facility and realized that the fuel was only half full. Feel like I got screwed

Tony HIt was the worst ever. They handed me a phone to speak to someone to help with pick up. Asked for credit card info over the phone and did not care if we had our dozen pads or not. The truck shook terribly and they were no assistance at that point. Thankfully customer service was able to help us switch trucks and Mr Gerald Wren at 4510 Augusta Rd in Lexington, SC was extremely helpful. It added miles which I was charged for and took hours off our day. But at least we had a drivable truck. I’d avoid and tell everyone I know to avoid Tha Store. As well, when we were standing there many customers of Tha Store were upset about other issues there. Very, ve poor place to deal with!!

Kaylie CTruck had an engine light on, zthey didn’t have it checked or offer to find a different vehicle. Said if I broke down to call UHaul for roadside assistance. Rental location was changed to this store without my knowledge and I received a text shortly before pickup with the new info. Arrived at the store to be told the owner wasn’t there and she was the only one who could process the rental. When she arrived and filled out the paperwork she left a 0 off the beginning mileage so when I returned the truck at my destination point it looked like I had driven an impossible amount of miles The truck handled very poorly and intermittently bucked while driving. Very poor reflection of UHaul and a horrible experience

TIFFANY BU Haul rep not on site. Cashier at carry out called uhaul rep and things were handled by phone. Insurance charge was a surprise. Lady at carry out was nice but was intermediary. There was a gentleman on site to help hook up trailer(car transporter). Bottom line, things got done without much delay and was fine.

Timothy PThe U Haul store was in a very professional setting. The lady in charge was operating a convenience store and cafe in the same premises. Over an hour after I turned in the truck, she called me and told me I forgot to turn in the key. I did turn in the key. She finally said she would look at the camera but she was insisting that I didn't give her the key. (She was waiting on store customers). I never heard back from her so I guess she found where she put the key.

Fred OPlace could use a good drop cleaning. Also the person working couldn’t even help me returning the truck. He told me that there is only one person that knows how to run the Uhaul rentals, and said I would have to wait till tomorrow.
