The U Haul store was in a very professional setting. The lady in charge was operating a convenience store and cafe in the same premises. Over an hour after I turned in the truck, she called me and told me I forgot to turn in the key. I did turn in the key. She finally said she would look at the camera but she was insisting that I didn't give her the key. (She was waiting on store customers). I never heard back from her so I guess she found where she put the key.
Don't make me wait 45 minutes for the one Clerk who can issue me my trailer
i would like them to take the time to check the lights on the trailer before I leave with it.

Service engine light was on, and I was not given another truck. Was told to drive it anyway.
Be more efficient. what should have been a 10 min pick up being it was reserved a week prior, turned into at least an hour for a tow dolly !
The customer service you receive here goes above and beyond. My rental arrangements were made simple, short, and sweet. I honestly was expecting some kind of hiccup, but I was surprised.

First I was miss informed about any fees for ins after being told 99 dollars flat rate from South Carolina to Jamestown Ny 2nd of all flat tire kept going flat to and bald tire. My 10 thousand dollar stand up tanning booth arrived scratched and dented up because the dam tires also once arrived for the trailer there was no hook ups attached to trailer to my tow package. Was also told they only except cash on arrival but once got there they took credit card .Had my reservation under a 16 silveraldo and it us a suburban when they transfered me to customer service on sunday nobody was there to talk to because the office hours qere not till Monday. Ill never use uhaul again .

The change in pick-up location made me travel further to pick up the trailer. These places that only have one person working, and have another business to run (this was a quick shop) make it ridiculous to pick-up or drop-off because they have to constantly pause to help other people not using U-Haul. Also, I did the pre-check-in stuff online, then had to go through most of it AGAIN when I did the pick-up, which was not convenient. Why do it all online if I have to do it again in person?
The customer service was awesome and friendly. She had everything hooked up and ready for me to go!!

The person who handled my order missed the fact that I wanted to put SafeMove Plus instead of the standard insurance on the truck, missed the fact that I had a dolly and a dozen blankets ordered, and was ready to send me down the road with my truck before I told her about these items. My suggestion is, that if you are going to have third parties participate in a U-Haul franchise, give them the same kind of training you would have a U-Haul Store employee undertake, so that all of the order gets checked, verified, confirmed, and the customer is sent out the door without having to ask for or remind the associate that something wasn't right.

EVERTHING WENT GREAT CANT ASK FOR ANY BETTER.
It is a small thing, but the steering wheel in the truck I rented felt "grungy". Granted, I was going to be moving during the day and my hands would probably get the steering wheel grimy again as the day went on, but picking it up clean would have been nice. It might have motivated me to wipe down the steering wheel, even.
The only issue was at pick-up when they told us to return the truck it was many miles away from our destination and was not convenient. At our destination, my niece knew of The Store and recommended we return at that site which was only 4-5 miles away, not the Shore Road site, which was almost 15 miles away.
He had no idea what he was doing, the trailer had broken tail lights and the truck leaked all over and destroyed my $6000 bed
What a awful experience. First I was sent to the incorrect location then they decide while i'm their that they do not have the trailer at that location so then I have to travel 30 mins out the way to only arrive at the Gilbert uhaul. The lady dealing with the customers had no training on renting uhauls so my husband was given a phone and told to do the process. We were also guaranteed and told that it would only be a 100 dollar deposit when i made the reservation, and we would pay the 63 dollar rental fee at the time we received the trailer. The lady insisted we must pay 300 dollar deposit for cash i called the main office and spoke with Brandi who had the supervisor (Mike) call me back. He told me they really weren't a cash store and I would have to leave them a 300 dollar deposit or use a debit or credit card to hold the rental. He guaranteed me that I could pay cash at the time of the return and my card would only have a HOLD on it. Brandi was as helpful as she could be and offered to put 50 dollars back on my acct after it was returned for all the confusion. I did the return and was told we could not pay cash and they had debited my account already so on Sunday I called the main office and spoke to another young lady who wrote a complaint for me and contacted mike, I also called mike. I had to wait until Monday. Mike calls and also says he would debit 50 dollars back to my acct and apologizes says to go pay the 17 dollar difference and be done, I get their to pay and nobody knows anything (although the man was very polite and did not make me wait long) so they had to call Mike Again. It was a bad experience overall.
