Although this particular location was very friendly and personable, I will never rent a vehicle thru IU-Haul again. I reserved a 15 ft truck from this location 3 weeks in advance. Days after making hte reservation online, I started receiving emails "reminding" me that the truck is reserved is only a request and "might not be available" at this location or any other. Figuring this was just corporate CYA, I assumed the truck I needed would be there. Days before the reservation date, I received more emails saying the truck I reserved would not be available at the location I requested. When I called them about this, they said the truck I wanted ( a 15 foot truck) was available that day at a nearby location approx 2 1/2 miles away. When I asked them to deliver it to the location I requested, they said "we don't do that" and I could pick it up from the nearby location. BUt that location wouldn't be open on Sunday and I would have to do online pickup by filling out a form and taking a number of photos of myself, the truck, and my driver license and attach them to the form. Then someone would show up to give me the keys. At this point I didn't trust U-Haul and said I would take teh 20 ft truck at the original location. But they said the original location only had 25 ft trucks now and I'[d have to take one of them. Having an absolute need for a truck, I agreed and went to the original location to pick up the 25 ft truck. When I got there, the lady said they had a few 20 foot trucks so I was able to get one of them instead of the 25 ft truck. Corporate U-Haul showed a complete lack of customer service by not fulfilling the reservation I made and I will never rent from them agail.Michael P.
It was a very small location in a gas station. They didn't have the moving blankets I had requested, but it wasn't that big of a deal this time. The customer service was amazing though! The gal that helped me was very friendly and knowledgeable. We got on the road quite quickly. Thatcher is a small town, so the size of the store is not too surprising, but it made up in customer service. Thanks!Theodore O.

Have someone there you take care of U-Haul and someone to take care of store customers reach not just one person for both. Also when customers call corporate for reservations don't pull a bate and switch on customers. I expected a 5x8 trailer and they had me for a 4x6 so I ended up surveying more then expected.SANDRA C.

I had to unload my car myself, back the trailer into an obscure spot without guidance. Then unhook the trailer myself. When I brought the truck back the following day, I just picked a spot and dropped off the keys. No questions, no follow up, no inspection, nothing. Pretty whack.Kyle D.

Everything went well. The truck smelled like cigar but did it's job. People were nice. The online price quote was about fifty dollars less than what we were charged. It rode like a truck. It did what I needed it to doâ€¦.get my stuff moved.BECKY S.

Went to pick up trailer at 1 location the lights were missing went to other location were they told me I had to tow the trailer with no lights to them or I wouldn't get my new equipment even though that the other location wouldn't let the trailer leaveFrank M.
The rental agent forgot to tighten the knob on the hitch. Right after I left I hit a bump and the hitch came off the ball. The trailer swayed violently. I stopped and put it back on and tightened the knobTHOMAS K.

This drop-off location was a gas station. The associate helped other customers before me even though I was there before them. He also spoke to the other cashier regarding a personal transaction through Venmo for what he verbally identified as weed while helping me at the same time. The trailer was a 1/4 of the way full from top to bottom with moving/furniture pads and no one told us to look over the trailer before we took off. So we got to our location 3 hrs away only to find the trailer full. I called this Chevron UHaul to figure out what to do, only to have them hang up on me multiple times. The service was terrible when we made pickup of the first car dolly and the light cord was to short so we had to buy one to fit, and then found the lights didn't work. When we returned it the service was better and the replacement dolly was excellent.Walter M.

Maybe assist with hooking up to hitch. These type of trailers do not have a jack so lifting up by hand and trying to place on the ball can be difficult doing this alone.Rudy A.

It took two days for them to figure out how to reserve this vehicle for me. Then when I came in she said the vehicle has never been checked in, then they said I could rent a vehicle without reservation. Then they said the vehicle has been reserved already when all along it was my reservation I had placed all along. It took about 45 minutes to get the moving van I had reserved days ago but they somehow couldn't find it.ZACHERY M.

Clerk was confused during whole process. Receipt couldn't be printed until another clerk helped out. The Tow Dolley I was assigned couldn't be accessed because of other equipment blocking it so another was assigned - this did not reflect on the receipt so it caused confusion for approximately 1 week at the drop off point and numerous phone calls.Anthony S.
Also was not told where to put the key when returning through the app. The gentleman working was moving a U-Haul so I handed it to him. At both location directions on the app were very clear and easy to follow until it came down to the info regarding the key, it just kinda ended and skipped to next section.Kyle S.

Clerk for drop off was not trained well on return. Took her 20-30minutes to get information on her phone/pad.(she tried both). By the time she got the information uploaded, it put me past the drop off time and I was charged another $50-60 by Uhaul because it indicated the drop off was late. She just indicated that is just how Uhaul operates and said she always recommends to people to use another business beside Uhaul. Prior to dealing with this location, everything else was what I expected from Uhaul.Danny B.

About an hour and a half after I left, I was called in a panic because they didn't collect my drivers license. I returned about 30 minutes later to return the car dolly. We did more paperwork after I came to return the dolly. I thought I was completing return paperwork, but they offered me insurance and gave me printed instructions on how to properly strap down the car to the dolly. After telling the guy I didn't need any of that because I was done and had returned the dolly, I got a call from someone else two days later telling me I need to return the trailer. ?? I asked if they looked outside for it before calling me and she said no. To say they were incompetent would be an understatement. They were nice and polite...just didn't seem to know what they were doing.Michael B.

This truck was super old, super rattle trap and literally no suspension. I was worried about my belongings even going snow. There was an air bag light and oil light that came on. Over 155,300 miles needs to be retired. Other newer ones were available but they gave me a junkerAmy P.
