Jerry WVery frustrating. My son made a reservation and when we got there, they said there was a hold on his account then we used my name and the same thing. they had no clue why and said they had to contact customer service which would take hour and half. We had college kids ready to help us move and they needed that time to do it. So, we couldn't wait then had to drive to Home Depot out of our way to try to get a truck. As we were just parking, we then get a call from the place saying we got approved and to come back. So, we went back and got our truck but that put us behind schedule, and the movers had to leave so we were out of movers and had to do it ourselves. Which I am 66 and it was a lot. This had no bearing on Big Tool store they we wonderful. This was on customer service part. They approved the reservation when we did it and then this happened and we got delayed and lost our movers and some more money. Not sure why both accounts were on not able to rent. I feel I should get some kind of customer courtesy compensation. We always use uhaul first and this was very frustrating and disappointing. Thankyou. Hope to hear from you soon

KEVIN MPick up location was great. Had issues with the uhaul app. The app is terrible and needs to be fixed. Also adding drivers on the phone did not work. But thankfully the personnel at the location took care of everything.

Christopher TTruck needs to be serviced the A/C would turn off while driving and would blow hot air through vents. Eventually it stopped blowing cold air and stayed warm. Truck has to be warmed up and driven for this issue to occur. Doesn’t occur immediately and this was a real big issue traveling through multiple state lines with outdoor temperatures 85+ degrees. Was driving with another individual and this made for a hard 3 day trip for the both of us. Couldn’t handle phone calls or normal conversations due to windows needed to be rolled down 24/7 to stay cool. Everything was hard at hearing and periodically bees and bugs would fly in while driving due to 30 hours of open window driving. Also the interior of our truck wasn’t cleaned when picked up. Dog hair and stains in cup holders and normal dirt was in truck due to previous drivers. Could have easily been cleaned up and disinfected for next rental. I uploaded pictures but they don’t give much detail. But truck was DIRTY AND UNSATISFACTORY for a new rental and $3500+ for rental. Not impressed U-Haul and this is why people prefer Penske. Simply a better truck. But you pay for what you get.
Braxton MPicked up trailer on Friday afternoon to haul a new motorcycle to my house 2.5 hours away. On my way back to rental location on Sunday, I was flagged down by a passing motorist who motioned to the trailer. I pulled over and found 1 missing lug nut, 2 broken studs, 1 lug nut that was being held on by less than 3 rotations and 1 lug nut that was half way on. Sat on the side of the road for a total of 2.5 to 3 hours. First attempt was a tech who tried to replace the hub only to find out it couldn't be replace. The next wait was for a tow truck to come get the trailer to tow it away. When I picked it up, the tech never looked at the trailer to verify it's condition. Just hooked it up and took a picture of my license plate. This trailer had just been returned a few minutes before and nobody went over its condition. I am very lucky that there was no issue when I had the bike on the trailer or that the tire didn't come off completely and cause damage to the trailer or a passing motorist. I have rented several trailers over the years and this is by far the worst experience.

laura dIt was great. A little pricey with the add-ons, for four hours, however. Rented from u-haul because I had just had an excellent experience with the delivery of 4 uboxes. Erin (female) was excellent.

Wallace SThis location is great, but U-Haul needs to really get someone to check the UX on their app. My freshman year programers could do better than U-Haul. The app really needs to be quality checked for consistent UI (eg. don't put a "checkbox" and the word "skip" in the same UI button... crazy this isn't caught).

ROBERT MThe vehicle was not clean - inside or out. There were a large number of blankets in the back - maybe too many. I would have preferred having the option of selecting the number I needed. The location folks I dealt with were great.
KORY NLocation was nice but 6x12 trailer looked very old, tool 15min of reconnecting everything to get the lights to work & most importantly, the brakes on the trailer kept locking up! I had rented it for two days but this trailer was so dangerous that I returned it early. AND even after telling them all the mechanical failures causing me to return the defective trailer earlier, I didn’t receive a refund for the day not used! This trailer should never have been rented without MAJOR repairs!

MARILYN LReserved truck a week ahead of time for pickup before store opened. Truck was not ready, no key in lockbox, and had to come back an hour later than scheduled to get the truck and had movers waiting on me. A big waste of time and money. Guy working there was very nice though. Truck had grass and dirt in the back. Had to blow it out before using.

JEFFREY NI got the dirtiest truck on the lot. The inside was clean, granted there was snow two weeks ago. However other clean trucks on lot. More importantly, I reserved 2 furniture dollys and there were none when I went there to pick up. Only option/suggestion was to buy some. It really threw a wrench in my whole move. Why put it on the website if they are not there. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

CHRISTOPHER RHonestly, the number of time I”ve rented from H-Haul, I can’t understand why they can’t develop a system where your profile is saved, and you rent another trailer or van, and all they have to do is select your pre-saved profile, check the box for the item you want to rent, and just check out. It seems so simple. Yet the check in, check out and return process is so cumbersome and time consuming, relative to the value of what you are renting, it is definitely a detractor and discourages me from renting from U-Haul if there is any other alternative. Get with the 21st century and find a way to make this process quick and seamless. Not only for my time, but for the time of your paid employees (or contracted firm employees). It is truly ridiculous, compared to the value of the product you are buying. Please call me if you want to discuss. (303) 898-5046. Seth
