There was a handwritten sign on the door stating to call a phone number, and a car backed up to the door blocking entry. When I stepped out of my car to walk toward the door, a guy popped his head out and hollered "Are you here for the 26 footer?". I told him I was, and he tried to just hand me the keys through the window, without even getting out. I explained that I was told on the phone during the confirmation call that if I needed to remove the auto-tow, I could do so in person at pickup, and I DID need to remove the auto-tow. I told the guy this, and he said he wasn't sure how to do that, that I should just use my phone and go through the check out process, and he'd detach the trailer in the mean time. I began trying to go through the process, but there was no cellphone service in the area, and the app was not loading. I went back to tell him this, and he was smoking pot in the car, still backed up to the door so that no one could go inside. He told me I just needed to call the "lady", with the number on the door and he wasn't sure how else to help. I did call the number on the door, and there was no answer. I left a message (and now - a week later, still have not received a call back from this "lady" that was supposed to be in charge). I was able to contact customer service, who assisted me with checking out the truck, and removing the auto-tow. She was very helpful, and when I told her about the interaction with whomever this man was, she was appalled. I would absolutely never recommend anyone to pick up from this facility -- you should definitely investigate this behavior. Whomever you are contracted through to rent out trucks, was not present, and left some random drug-doer in charge. Not a good look for UHaul. It wasn't until we drove the truck back to our home to begin loading that we realized the dolly we had reserved was not included in the reservation.. that REALLY sucked.

I had to call UHaul customer service to get help returning our rental. The lady only called us back cause she saw she had a missed call. By this time we had left, said she had gone to lunch. My husband asked her a question about tire sizes for the dollies. She got an attitude with him when she couldnt answer the question he was asking and she began to get rude so he disconnected the call.
